Sector 57 lies just beyond the southern end of Golf Course Road, next to Sectors 55 and 56 and the Sushant Lok 2 and 3 colonies, with Golf Course Extension Road along one edge. It is a mix rather than one developer's colony: plotted houses and builder floors, a Housing Board colony and several group-housing societies. The Rapid Metro's Golf Course Road line ends nearby at Sector 55-56.

Some of its streets struggle with water. In July 2024 The Tribune reported waterlogging in Sectors 55, 56 and 57 and in Sushant Lok 2 and 3, with water entering the ground floors and basements of several houses and damaging household goods. GMDA's road repair package of November 2024 included Sector 57's master roads.

That shapes the jobs we are asked to do here. Some households want the basement or ground-floor store room cleared before the monsoon. Some need belongings moved out while floors, walls and wiring are repaired, then brought back. Some decide to move up a floor, or out to a tower.
