Packers and movers · Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Maxx Relocation works as packers and movers in Lucknow, handling house shifts for families on a transfer order, homes in the old-city lanes and new flats along Shaheed Path, locally or to other cities. We pack, load, drive and unpack, and put the price in writing before a single carton is filled.
Moving in Lucknow

In Lucknow, the calendar often decides the move. A transfer order for a government or PSU job can come with only a few weeks' notice, and the family then has to hand back quarters, pack a full household and reach a new posting, sometimes in another state. When you call us, we start from the joining date and work backwards to the packing day.
The city itself gives two very different jobs. Old Lucknow, around Chowk and Aminabad, has close-packed lanes and houses where furniture comes down narrow stairs. Across the Gomti, which divides the city into its cis-Gomti and trans-Gomti halves, Gomti Nagar, Indira Nagar and the new towers near Shaheed Path have wide roads, plotted houses and society rules.
Many Lucknow moves head west to Delhi NCR, where our head office is. The expressways make that a short drive by car, but a loaded truck still needs a day or more, so we fix the arrival day with you before we pack.
Areas we cover
We cover the old city, the trans-Gomti side and the colonies to the south. If your area is not on the list, ask us.
Finding your way
Roads and places we use to plan the truck's route, and that help you describe where you live.
A fast road along the city's southern and eastern edge, from the Kanpur Road side towards Gomti Nagar Extension. Many new high-rises sit near it, and it keeps our trucks out of the crowded centre.
Lucknow's outer ring road, a 104 km, eight-lane project, circles the city. Where it is open, long-distance trucks can use it to reach the highways without crossing town.
The 302 km expressway, open since 2016, is the main road west towards Agra, where the Agra ring road links it to the Yamuna Expressway for Noida and Delhi. It is the usual route for a Lucknow–NCR move.
The city's main station, with heavy traffic around it through the day. Moves from the colonies near it are timed to miss the busiest hours.
Old Lucknow and the trans-Gomti areas are linked by a few road bridges. A shift from Aminabad to Gomti Nagar crosses one of them, and which one we use depends on the time of day.
The central shopping street. Parking near it is tight, so moves from flats close by are usually done early, before the shops open.
Homes we move
Government colonies and official quarters are a big part of Lucknow's housing. When you vacate quarters, the handover date is often fixed, so we can pack a day ahead and clear the house on time. Ask the estate office what they need from you on the last day, such as meter readings or a fixtures check.
LDA plotted colonies such as Gomti Nagar, Aliganj and Ashiyana have independent houses, often with a different family on each floor. We pack floor by floor and mark each carton with the floor as well as the room, so nothing gets mixed up when two households share one building.
In Old Lucknow, homes around Chowk and Aminabad stand on lanes with tight turns, and sofas and double beds are usually dismantled before they come down. The newer towers near Shaheed Path and in Sushant Golf City are the reverse: wide approach roads, but a lift booking and set moving hours from the society.
On the ground
The process differs by department. Many ask for the keys and a check of fixtures on a set date. Ask your estate office early, and give us the date so packing finishes before it.
Lanes around Chowk and Aminabad often cannot take a truck, so goods travel to it by hand or in a small vehicle. Early mornings, before shops open, are usually the quietest time.
Heavy vehicles may face time limits on some city roads. We fix the loading time around the rules in force so the truck keeps moving on the way in and out.
New towers usually want a gate pass and a lift booking. Get both confirmed a few days before the move.
When to move
April to June is when many transfer orders take effect, so movers' calendars fill fast, and it is also the hottest stretch of the year. Book as soon as your order arrives, and expect loading to start early to beat the heat.
The monsoon brings heavy spells from July, and the rains can run into October; low-lying roads can waterlog. Waterproof sheets go over the load, and cartons are kept off wet ground while the truck is filled.
Lucknow is at its most comfortable for moving from October to March. But fog is common from mid-December to late January, and thick fog on the expressways can slow a loaded truck badly, so long-distance trucks leave after it lifts and we build a spare day into the plan.

FAQ
Still have a question?
Call or WhatsApp us and talk it through with our team.
Yes. Share the joining date and the date you must vacate, and we will plan backwards from them. Short-notice moves are possible when a vehicle and crew are free on your date, so call as early as you can.
Yes. If the lane cannot take a truck, our crew carries the goods out, or a small vehicle shuttles them, to the main road where the truck waits. Tell us how many floors the goods come down so we send enough hands.
The road distance is about 490 km, and a car can do it in a day. A loaded truck takes a little longer once packing and loading are counted, so plan for delivery in one to two days. Our Noida page covers the other end of the move.
Your car usually goes on a covered car carrier rather than in the goods truck, and we time it to arrive close to the goods. Read about our car transport service.
Yes. If the new house is not ready, we keep your goods in storage, palletised and watched by CCTV, and deliver them once you have the keys.
Yes. Long moves are packed for several days on the road: sturdier cartons, extra wrapping on furniture and a written list of every carton. Lucknow to Bengaluru is about 1,950 km by road and usually takes five to seven days; see our Bengaluru page for the arrival end.
