Export packing

What our international moving services include

An overseas shipment changes hands several times and may be opened for inspection on the way. Export packing is built for that:

  • A pre-move survey We go through what you plan to ship, the access at your home and your timing before we quote.
  • Export packing Every item wrapped, cartons sealed and stretch-wrapped, and heavy or fragile pieces in wooden drums or on pallets with insert plates.
  • A numbered packing list Each carton gets a number and a short note of its contents, the kind of list shipping paperwork usually asks for.
  • Paperwork guidance We explain which documents moves like yours usually need and help you prepare the goods list.
  • Storage in India What is not going can wait in our palletised storage until you decide.

Freight booking, customs clearance and delivery at the destination depend on the country you are moving to. We explain how these are arranged for your move when we quote, before you commit to anything.

Sorting your home

Ship, Store or Leave Behind?

Moving abroad is the one move where taking everything is rarely the plan. Sort your home into groups before the survey.

  • Ship

Things you use every week and cannot easily replace:

    • Clothes
    • Books
    • Artwork
    • Favourite kitchenware
    • Furniture worth the freight
  • Store in India

Things you will want if you come back, or cannot decide on yet.

    They stay

    • Palletised
    • Separate
    • Open to your inspection
  • Sell, gift or leave

    • Bulky, low-value items
    • Appliances built for Indian power supply

Check the voltage and plug type in your new country first.

Also plan for

  • Carry by hand

Passports, visas, certificates, jewellery and cash fly with you. They never go into the shipment.

  • Urgent cartons

Ask about sending a few cartons you need in the first weeks separately from the main shipment.

  • Destination rules

Many countries restrict food, plants, seeds, medicines and some untreated wood. Check your country’s list before packing.

How it works

Your International Move, Step by Step

  1. Survey and destination

Tell us the country, the city, your timing and roughly what is going. We go through the list with you before quoting.

  2. Sort and document

You decide what ships, what stays and what goes; we number each carton and build the packing list from it.

  3. Export packing

Wrapping, sealed and stretch-wrapped cartons, and wooden drums or pallets for heavy or fragile pieces.

  4. Dispatch and storage

Packed goods leave your home for shipping as arranged for your destination; anything staying goes into storage.

Pricing guidance

What decides the cost of moving abroad

International quotes have more moving parts than domestic ones. These are the factors yours depends on.

Shipment volume
Freight abroad is usually charged on the space or weight your goods take, so every piece you decide to leave behind counts.
Sea or air
Air is generally faster and costs more per kilo; sea usually suits a larger household with a flexible arrival date.
Destination country
Distance, charges at the destination and local rules differ widely from one country to the next.
How far the quote goes
A price that ends when goods leave India and one that includes delivery to your new home are very different. We say clearly which one you have.
Packing and crating
Export packing, and wooden drums or crates for fragile and heavy items, add materials and hours.
Storage in India
Goods left behind are quoted by the space they take and how long they stay.

Paperwork

Documents to Gather Early

  • Passport, and the visa or residence permit for your new country.

  • Proof of your address in India, and at the destination if you have one.

  • The numbered list of what is in each carton.

  • Any forms your destination asks for when household goods arrive.

Requirements differ by country and visa type, and they change. Confirm the final list with your destination’s customs authority or your employer’s mobility team.

Packing homes across NCR

We survey and pack homes across Gurgaon and Delhi for moves abroad, from apartments in DLF Phase 5 to bungalows in Vasant Vihar. The survey, the packing and the numbered list are done at your home, so you see every carton closed.

FAQ

International Moving Questions

Still have a question?

Call or WhatsApp us and talk it through with our team.

Sea freight usually suits a full household because it carries more volume for the money, but it takes longer. Air suits a few cartons you need soon after you land. Many families send most goods by sea and a small batch by air. We help you weigh it against your volume and dates.

Usually your passport, a visa or residence permit for the new country, and a detailed list of what you are shipping. Some countries ask for more, and the rules change, so confirm the final list with the destination authority. We help you prepare the carton-by-carton goods list.

We will not pack alcohol, firearms or ammunition, jewellery, cash, liquids or pornographic material. Your destination will have its own restrictions on top, so check them before you start sorting.

How clearance and delivery work at the far end depends on the country. Before you book, we explain how they are arranged for your destination and what you will need to do yourself.

Yes. Furniture and boxes that are not shipping can stay in our storage, palletised and kept apart from other customers’ goods, until you send for them or come back.

Yes. Export packing is heavier, and every carton is numbered against a detailed contents list. Our domestic and international comparison sets out the other differences.
