In practice, loads come in three sizes:

  • Parcels and small consignments. A few cartons, a single appliance or a handful of samples, packed and delivered to the address you give.
  • Bulk loads. Full truckloads of stock, raw material, finished goods or shop fittings, on a truck or trailer sized to the weight.
  • ODC loads. Over-dimensional pieces such as machinery, generators or fabricated structures. These need a suitable trailer and a planned route.

For businesses that move goods regularly, our Supply Chain line covers repeat movements, with storage in between when stock has to wait.

What decides the cost of goods transport

Goods are quoted on the load itself. These are the details that move the price.

Weight and volume
The heavier or bulkier the load, the larger the vehicle and the more loading time it needs.
Largest dimensions
One oversized piece can decide the vehicle for the whole load; ODC pieces need special trailers.
Vehicle type
A light-duty vehicle, a truck and a trailer are priced very differently for the same distance.
Loading equipment
Loads that need a crane or forklift, and sites without one, add equipment or hands.
Distance and route
Kilometres, tolls and any route restrictions for large vehicles.
Packing and crating
Goods that arrive loose need cartons, drums or pallets before they can travel.

ODC is over-dimensional cargo: a piece too long, wide, tall or heavy for a standard truck body, such as a machine, a transformer or a fabricated frame. What we can take depends on the piece and the route, so send the dimensions, the weight and a photo, and we confirm whether and how it can move.

Yes. Transportation (Bulk/Parcel) covers small consignments as well as full loads. Tell us the number of pieces, the rough weight and both addresses.

Trucks, trailers, and heavy- and light-duty vehicles. We choose by the weight, the size of the largest piece and the access at both ends, so a small load is not sent in a trailer and a heavy one is not squeezed into a pickup.

We are GST-registered and invoice accordingly. Goods moving for business, especially between states, often need an e-way bill, which is usually generated by the consignor. Keep your invoice and e-way bill details ready when you book.

Our prohibited list covers alcoholic beverages, firearms, ammunition, jewellery, cash, liquid items and pornographic material. If your consignment includes chemicals, fuels or anything hazardous, tell us before booking so we can say whether we can take it.

Yes. If the receiving site is not ready, the load can wait in our warehouse, palletised and under CCTV, and go out when you call for it.
