Sector 48 is one of the sectors strung along Sohna Road just below Subhash Chowk. Its best-known address is Central Park Resorts: the developer, Central Park, gives its own head office as The Median, Central Park Resorts, Sector 48. Building has not stopped here either. Wikipedia's list of Gurugram's tallest buildings shows The Saavira, a 25-floor tower in Sector 48, as under construction.

For a mover, the highway is the first thing to check. In May 2026 The Tribune reported the sixth major cave-in on the Sohna Highway since 2023, which officials linked to a damaged master sewer line under the road; the broken stretch was barricaded. The paper's August 2025 list of sectors that flood year after year also names Sector 48. Either can turn a short drive into a long detour.

Inside a tower township, the work is mostly about time at the lift and the gate. Where several towers share service lifts, entry gates and visitor parking, a slot that slips by an hour can leave the truck behind another family's move. What Shapes a Move Out of Sector 48

Three things decide the day here: your tower's slot, the state of Sohna Road and the season.

    Repairs on the Sohna Highway can shut a stretch at short notice. The evening before, we look at the road between your gate and the next junction and agree a second way out.

  3. Packed before the truck rolls in

    Cartons are sealed and stacked by the lift before the vehicle's slot begins, so the truck spends its time loading, not parked at the gate.

  4. Rainy-month wrapping

    In the wet season, upholstered furniture goes into plastic film and cartons wait on sheets, never on a damp basement floor, until the lift is free.

Which Junctions and Addresses Shape a Sector 48 Route?

Sector 48's gates open onto a highway with an elevated road above it, so the junction a truck turns at matters more than the distance on the map.

  1. Subhash Chowk

    Most trucks from central Gurugram turn in at this junction just north of the sector. Ahead of the 2026 monsoon, the city stationed quick response teams for waterlogging at Subhash Chowk, one of four spots The Tribune named in April.

  2. Sohna Elevated Corridor

    The six-lane, access-controlled road overhead runs 21.65 km from Rajiv Chowk to Sohna and was fully opened in July 2022. It suits a truck bound for Sohna or further south; the gates of Sector 48 itself are reached from the road below.

  3. Vipul World and GD Goenka Public School

    GD Goenka Public School gives its address as Block A, Vipul World, Sector 48. For homes on the same approach, we keep loading away from the start and end of the school day.

  4. Vatika Chowk

    Further down Sohna Road, an 822-metre underpass opened in November 2023 links the Southern Peripheral Road with Golf Course Extension Road, so a truck heading to the 60s and 70s sectors can pass under the signal.

Towers, Builder Floors and Villas: Moving Different Sector 48 Homes

Sector 48 is not all high-rise. A May 2026 area guide describes Vipul World as about 150 acres of builder floors, villas and plots, low-rise and gated, with its main entrance on Sohna Road and internal roads linking the pockets. A floor or villa there means the truck parks on a township road, the crew uses stairs rather than a service lift, and furniture leaves through a front door instead of a basement.

Villas bring their own work: rooms spread over several levels, terrace and garden furniture, and sometimes a home office. We put one team on each level so the house empties in parallel, and load the truck in reverse room order so unpacking at the new home starts with the rooms you need first.

What Sector 48 Townships Ask Before Goods Leave

  • Truck registered at the gate

    Gated townships log vehicles at the main gate. Tell us which gate the guard will expect us at, and we send the truck number and crew names to the estate office the day before.

  • Electricity in your name, or not

    If your floor or villa has its own DHBVN meter, a sale or a new tenancy can be followed by a change of name on DHBVN's e-connection portal. Photograph the meter reading on moving day for the final bill.

  • Tenant verification before the keys

    Gurugram Police lists tenant verification among its citizen services. A landlord in a plotted township may want it filed before handing over keys, so start it a few days ahead rather than on the day.

When to move

When Is Sohna Road Easiest to Move On?

The wet months are the hardest. On the first heavy rain of 2026, The Tribune reported waterlogging on Sohna Road as well as Basai, IFFCO Chowk and Udyog Vihar, and police diverted traffic via SPR and the Dwarka Expressway. In April, officials had been told to tie the surface drains along the Sohna Road corridor into the master network. Until that shows results, we treat a July to September date here as weather-dependent and keep a second day free.

Heat is the other limit. Gurugram reached 48.1 °C in May 2022, the hottest reading in Punjab and Haryana that day. In late May and June we begin loading at first light and finish the heavy carrying before the afternoon; the drive can wait until later.

Rental agreements that end on the last day of a month push many moves into the same weekend. When your lease allows it, a weekday in the middle of the month gives both the crew and the township gate more room.
