Maxx Relocation moves families into and out of the housing societies along Sohna Road, from the Rajiv Chowk end down to new projects near Sohna town. We time loading around the corridor's traffic and fit each move to your society's rules.
Area overview

Sohna Road starts at Rajiv Chowk and runs south past Subhash Chowk, Vatika Chowk and Badshahpur towards Sohna town. It is part of NH-248A, and the six-lane Sohna Road corridor, with elevated sections, fully opened from Rajiv Chowk to Sohna in July 2022. Housing societies line both sides of the road. Areas in the same part of the city with their own pages include Sector 47, Sector 49 and South City 2.
That gives us two kinds of move. The first is between established societies on the corridor, where traffic is the main problem. The busy junctions can hold up a loaded truck at peak hours, so we like to load early and drive before the rush. Roadworks add to it: in April 2026 The Tribune reported a planned service road from Subhash Chowk to the SEZ, meant to carry local traffic for Sector 48 and Central Park residents during Metro construction. The second is a move into a brand-new project, where you may be one of the first families in the tower.
A new society is its own kind of job. The facility team may still be settling its rules, lifts may be shared with finishing work and the approach road may be half built. We check access before moving day. If possession slips, your goods can wait in our storage until the keys arrive. For a full-home plan, see household shifting.
Local know-how
Traffic, new towers and a long road between the two ends.
On the ground in Sohna Road Sohna Road & Manesar
Subhash Chowk, Vatika Chowk and the Badshahpur stretch can slow right down at peak hours; a 2023 underpass at Vatika Chowk was built to ease exactly that. We load early and try to be on the road before the worst of it.
In a newly handed-over project, lifts, parking and gate rules may still be changing. Confirm lift and gate access with the facility team a few days before.
Projects further south towards Sohna are a longer drive from the Rajiv Chowk end. We plan the day so unloading can still finish in daylight.
Handover dates slip. If your old lease ends first, we store your goods and deliver once the new flat is ready.
Established societies here usually want a move request and a lift slot, and tenants may need an owner's NOC. Sort these out early.
After the first heavy rain of July 2026, The Tribune listed Sohna Road, Vatika Chowk and Rajiv Chowk among waterlogged, jammed stretches. On a wet morning we check the road before the truck sets off.
Finding your way
Points on the road between Subhash Chowk and Badshahpur that help a driver find the right gate.
The northern anchor of the corridor is also one of its wettest junctions. The Tribune reported on 30 April 2026 that quick response teams, backed by round-the-clock pumping equipment, were on standby at Subhash Chowk and three other flood-prone spots in the city.
Omaxe places its Celebration Mall in Central Park II, Sector 48, on the Gurgaon–Sohna Road: five floors holding a multiplex, a banquet hall, shops and a food court. For a home in that estate, the mall is the easiest pin to send a driver.
Close to this Sector 48 society, on 22 August 2020, part of the elevated road then under construction fell after three newly placed girders gave way between two pillars. Gurgaon Police reported two labourers with minor injuries and nobody hurt on the road below.
NHAI split the elevated road’s construction at Badshahpur, and traffic first used the 12.7 km southern package, from here to Sohna, on 1 April 2022, more than three months before the Gurgaon end. Badshahpur, one of the district’s four sub-divisions, takes its name from a fort that Wikipedia says was home to a wife of the Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar.
Wikipedia’s Badshahpur article places this stepwell, built by Mohan Lal in 1905 to conserve water, on a sector road near Sohna Road. It has no protective wall, and construction has swallowed its catchment.
Homes we move
In Sector 48, Square Yards lists Vipul Greens on 17.18 acres with 24 towers and 644 flats of three and four bedrooms plus penthouses, completed in 2013, with two apartments on each floor. With only one neighbour per landing, a lift slot there is easier to agree than in a block with many flats per floor.
South of the Southern Peripheral Road the housing is different. Square Yards describes BPTP’s Astaire Gardens in Sector 70A as about 98 acres divided into 1,129 plots, on which floors are built one plot at a time. There is no society service lift to book in a colony like this; whether a wardrobe goes down in one piece depends on that particular building’s stair or lift.
On the ground
A Sohna Road address can mean Sector 47 beside Subhash Chowk or Sector 70A past the Southern Peripheral Road, a long drive apart. Give the sector, the society and the nearest chowk when you book, so the truck is routed to the right end.
ThePrint reported that the elevated stretch covers 8.94 km, starting at Subhash Chowk and ending south of Badshahpur. A loaded truck travelling between the two ends can stay on the deck and skip the junctions below, then drop to the ground road for the last part of the trip.
Where the flat has a DHBVN meter of its own, use the utility’s online connection portal to apply for the final no-dues certificate, have the meter permanently disconnected and claim back the security deposit. Where the society supplies power through its own meter, settle the final reading with the facility office before you leave.

When to move
Late summer storms have been the hardest. After about an hour of rain on Monday, 24 August 2026, ETV Bharat reported that school buses were stuck for hours near Rail Vihar in Sector 47 and at Subhash Chowk, with one parent saying a child spent more than four hours on a bus. A move booked between mid-July and mid-September is safer with a spare day and an early start.
The heat peaks before the rain. In its round-up of 24 May 2026, The Tribune gave Gurugram’s maximum as 41.7 °C, with the IMD expecting heatwave to severe heatwave conditions across north-west India for the following week. In late May and June, loading in the first hours after sunrise spares both the crew and anything that dislikes heat, such as candles, medicines and electronics.

Call or WhatsApp us and talk it through with our team.
Early morning, in most cases. Loading before the office rush and driving before the junctions fill up saves hours. Your society's move timings matter too, so we set the start time around both.
Yes. We move families to projects all along the road, including the newer ones further south, and across the rest of Gurgaon. Tell us the project and tower, and we will check the approach road before moving day.
Many societies ask tenants for a no-objection letter from the flat owner, and ask every resident to clear dues and book a lift slot. Rules differ, so ask your facility office for its list about a week ahead.
Most of the time goes into packing and loading, not the drive. A 2BHK is often packed and loaded in the morning and unloaded by evening, if both societies' move hours allow. Traffic on the corridor is the variable, which is why we start early.
Within Gurgaon, most people drive their own car to the new home. If you are leaving for another city, we send it on a covered carrier with a trained driver, and you can follow the vehicle online on the way.
They are the same corridor. The six-lane road from Rajiv Chowk to Sohna, part of NH-248A, has elevated sections and fully opened in July 2022. Society gates open onto the road at ground level, so that is where our trucks stop and load.
