House shifting along Sohna Road to another Gurgaon address sits in our owner Radhe Shyam's October 2026 bands: one bedroom moves for Rs 4,500–7,000, two for Rs 8,000–12,500, and three for Rs 12,000–15,000. On this road, where a move lands in its band depends less on bedrooms than on three local things: which stretch of the 21.65 km corridor both addresses are on, whether the truck has to pass the fee plaza near Ghamroj, and whether loading fits the city's goods-vehicle hours.
How we approach the corridor's societies and junctions is the subject of the packers and movers on Sohna Road Gurgaon section of our site. Here we stick to three questions: what it costs, where crew hours go, and how the truck gets in and out. Every outside source was read on 5 November 2026.
What does house shifting on Sohna Road cost?
These are indicative ranges from our Gurgaon city page, not fixed fees.
| Home | Within Gurgaon | To Delhi |
|---|---|---|
| One bedroom (1 BHK) | Rs 4,500–7,000 | Rs 7,000–8,000 |
| Two bedrooms (2 BHK) | Rs 8,000–12,500 | Rs 10,000–13,500 |
| Three bedrooms (3 BHK) | Rs 12,000–15,000 | Rs 14,000–16,500 |
| Studio, 1 RK, or four bedrooms and up | Priced from your list or a survey | Priced from your list or a survey |
A car moved up to 50 km falls in a band of Rs 9,000–11,500, and a two-wheeler in Rs 3,000–7,000. The bands were set for Gurgaon moves; for a home in Sohna town, at the far end of the road, we price the job once we have both addresses. Our Gurgaon charges guide shows how the bands were put together.
Which stretch of the corridor are you on?
The name covers a long road. Wikipedia splits it into two construction packages: about 8.94 km from Rajiv Chowk to Badshahpur, and about 12.71 km from Badshahpur to K.R. Mangalam University near Sohna. The whole six-lane road has been open since 11 July 2022.
For pricing, that gives three kinds of trip:
| Trip | What it adds | Our detailed guide |
|---|---|---|
| Between sectors on the Gurgaon end, from Subhash Chowk to Badshahpur | Mostly junction traffic; the drive is short | Sector 47, Sector 48, Sector 49 |
| From the Gurgaon end to the middle sectors, towards Badshahpur | A few more kilometres, still north of the fee plaza | Sector 67, Sector 69, Sector 70 |
| To or from Sohna town | The longest drive, a fee plaza and a second busy junction at Sohna Chowk | Priced from both addresses |
On OpenStreetMap, Subhash Chowk and Badshahpur are only about 4 km apart in a straight line, so a move between them takes no longer to pack or carry than a move across one sector. Distance starts to count in the price on the last stretch, south of Badshahpur, where the drive grows and the fee plaza appears.
What uses up crew hours along Sohna Road?
The carry and the wait, far more than the drive. Here is how the common homes on the road differ:
| Home | Where the time goes | What to send before the survey |
|---|---|---|
| Flat in a tower society | The walk from the loading point to the service lift, then waiting for the lift between loads | Tower and floor number, lift door size, the booked slot at both ends |
| Builder floor in a plotted colony | Stairs, and a truck kept further off by cars parked in the lane | Stair width at the turns, a photo of the lane from your gate |
| Large house or villa | Volume: terraces, store rooms, garden pots and outdoor furniture | A room-by-room video, roof included |
| Flat in a recently handed-over project | An approach road or gate that may still be unfinished | The tower number and a current photo of the approach |
| Office in a commercial block | Workstations, servers and record cabinets | Headcount and workstation count; see our Sohna Road office guide |
Two habits save the most time. Seal and stack the cartons by the door before the truck arrives, so nobody waits for packing with the vehicle outside. And reserve the lift at the old and the new address for as long as loading lasts, not just for the first hour, because losing the lift halfway through a 3 BHK stalls the whole job. Which documents societies along the road ask for is covered in our Sohna Road society rules guide.
Is there a toll between Sohna Road and Sohna?
Yes, one fee plaza, on the southern stretch. OpenStreetMap marks the booths, tagged "Sohna Gurgaon Toll", near Ghamroj village. They sit about 7 km in a straight line south of Badshahpur and about 11 km from Subhash Chowk. A move that stays between Subhash Chowk and Badshahpur does not pass them. A move that ends in Sohna town, or starts there, does.
Payment there may change. In an annexure released through the Press Information Bureau in July 2026, "Ghamroj Sohna Road" on NH-248A is listed among fee plazas where NHAI had invited bids for barrier-less tolling. We could not reach NHAI's own fee table on 5 November 2026, so we do not quote a truck rate here. Ask whether your quote includes the plaza fee, and if you drive your own car behind the truck, keep the FASTag topped up.
One more project sits beyond the plaza. On 31 October 2026, Union minister Nitin Gadkari announced approval of Rs 340.78 crore for a 2.75 km six-lane elevated corridor at Sohna Chowk, where NH-919 meets NH-248A, to separate through traffic from local movement, Square Yards reported. We found no start date for the work as of 5 November 2026. Once building begins, expect diversions at that junction on any move into Sohna town.
When can the truck run, and how long is the day?
The city's clock comes first. Gurugram Traffic Police set out its daily "No Entry Timings" for commercial vehicles in an undated explainer of the Vehicle Movement Digi Pass that GMDA hosts online: one spell covers the morning peak, 8–10 am, and a longer one the evening, 5–9 pm, on designated stretches. Its free permits are meant for essential services such as healthcare, catering and food supply, not household moves. So a loaded household truck is best on the road early, ahead of 8 am, or in the gap from 10 am until 5 pm.
That window shapes the day differently at each end of the road:
- A short hop at the Gurgaon end. Pack the evening before, load from mid-morning and drive well before 5 pm. Most of the day goes into the lift and the carry.
- A move to Sohna town. The drive is longer and passes the fee plaza, so start loading early enough that the truck is clear of the city's designated roads before the evening spell begins.
- A large house or an office. Split it: pack one day, then load and drive the following morning, rather than racing the 5 pm cut-off with half the goods still upstairs.
The office keeps 8 am–9 pm hours from Monday to Saturday and stays closed on Sunday. Society move hours vary, so match them with the city's spells before you fix a date. In the rains, the Sohna Road weather guide lists the months to avoid.
Which air-quality and Delhi rules apply in November 2026?
Two sets of dated rules are in force as this is written.
GRAP Stage II. On 2 November 2026, the Commission for Air Quality Management's sub-committee invoked Stage II for all of the NCR once Delhi's AQI touched 324 at 4 pm, Outlook India reported. The reports of that order speak of dust control, stricter checks on old vehicles and pollution certificates, and more traffic police at busy junctions; they do not name trucks. A higher stage adds further curbs, and the stage can change within a day, so check it the evening before the move.
Delhi entry. If the goods are going from Sohna Road to Delhi:
- From 1 November 2026 to 31 January 2027, outside-registered vehicles below the BS-VI emission standard are being kept out of Delhi, UNI reported on 26 October 2026. Ask which emission standard the truck meets when you book.
- Under a Delhi gazette notice dated 4 May 2026, the Environment Compensation Charge went up, so a light goods vehicle or a two-axle truck now pays Rs 2,000 and a truck on three axles or more pays Rs 4,000, and the charge climbs by 5 per cent every April, The Tribune reported. Check whether your quote shows it.
Delhi's goods-vehicle hours and paperwork are set out in Moving Between Delhi and Gurgaon.
Which charges are not in the band?
Four items, none of them set by the mover:
- Society charges. Fees and refundable deposits differ by society; reported Gurgaon figures and the questions to ask are in our rules guide linked above.
- The fee plaza. Only on trips that cross it near Ghamroj.
- Delhi's entry charge. Only on Delhi deliveries, at Rs 2,000 or Rs 4,000 depending on axles.
- Storage days. When possession is late, days in storage appear as a separate item.
Which steps keep a Sohna Road quote low?
- To do: Give the sector, society or colony and the nearest chowk for both addresses, not just "Sohna Road"
- To do: Say whether either end is in Sohna town, so the fee plaza is planned for
- To do: Send the lift door size, or a photo of the stair turns and the lane
- To do: Reserve each building's service lift for the entire time goods are moving
- To do: Have every carton sealed the night before, which keeps the drive clear of both no-entry periods
- To do: Check the GRAP stage the evening before the move
- To do: For a Delhi delivery, ask for the vehicle's emission class, plus the Delhi entry charge, on paper
- To do: Sell or give away furniture you no longer want; every piece left behind is one less trip to the lift

Key takeaway
On the October 2026 bands, a Sohna Road move within Gurgaon starts at Rs 4,500 (one bedroom) and tops out at Rs 15,000 (three bedrooms). Between Subhash Chowk and Badshahpur the drive barely matters; crew time goes into lifts, stairs and the carry. South of Badshahpur, the fee plaza near Ghamroj and the longer drive to Sohna town enter the price. Keep the loaded drive outside 8–10 am and 5–9 pm, check the GRAP stage (Stage II from 2 November 2026), and for Delhi ask for a BS-VI truck.
When both addresses and a date are settled, contact us for a written figure. Everything above is general information for planning, not a price promise: the bands date from October 2026, and toll arrangements, road projects, the city's truck hours, the GRAP stage and Delhi's entry rules can all change before your moving day.
