Packers and movers in Golf Course Road: one plan for office and home

Golf Course Road runs south from Sikanderpur on MG Road, past DLF Phase 5, to the Sector 55–56 rotary, where Golf Course Extension Road carries on. DLF developed it with HUDA as a signal-free road with underpasses, and the Rapid Metro runs along it, with stations from DLF Phase 1 to Sector 55–56. Office buildings and apartment high-rises line much of its length. Companies move in and out of those towers, and many of the people who run them live a few minutes away in a condominium on the same road.

In sector terms, the road runs past all four sectors of DLF Phase 5, numbered 42, 43, 53 and 54 in DLF's compliance filing, before it reaches Sectors 55 and 56. Many of the condominiums on it are DLF's own: The Aralias gives its address as Golf Course Road, DLF Phase-V, the same filing names Magnolias, Belaire and Park Place, and a separate DLF file places The Crest in Sector 54. Water is the road's weak point. The Tribune counts Golf Course Road among the stretches that flood in monsoon after monsoon, so for a rainy-season move we keep the truck at the tower's covered loading point where there is one and wrap upholstery before it leaves the lift.

So we often plan moves here in pairs. A company shifting to a bigger floor may also be bringing a senior hire's family in from another city. An executive posted abroad may be closing a home and a small office in the same month. One survey, one written plan and one team keep the two moves from clashing. The office side runs through our office relocation service, the home side through household shifting.

Both ends have rules. Office towers usually want permission from building management and a slot at the loading bay. Residential towers want lift bookings and fixed move hours. We collect these early so the day runs to plan.

Moving an Office or a Flat on Golf Course Road: What to Plan For

What a Golf Course Road move plans for, at the tower and on the road.

On the ground in Golf Course Road Gurugram

  1. Phased office moves

Teams can move in stages, one department or floor at a time, so part of the business keeps working while the rest is on the truck.

  2. Building permissions

Commercial towers usually ask for a move request, the vehicle and crew details, and a time slot. We give you everything the form needs.

  3. Evening and Saturday slots

Many towers prefer office moves outside business hours, to keep lifts free for tenants. We plan within our own hours, up to 9 pm, Monday to Saturday.

  4. No stopping on the main road

The road is signal-free, with underpasses at the big junctions, and built for through traffic. Trucks load at the building's bay or on a service lane, never on the carriageway, so we confirm the loading point with the building first.

  5. Surplus furniture

Shrinking a floor or waiting for a fit-out? Spare desks and cabinets can wait in our warehouse until you need them.

  6. Executive apartments

Large flats with art, big TVs and imported furniture get extra padding and special cartons. Towers in nearby DLF Phase 5 follow a similar routine.

Finding your way

Which Stations, Underpasses and Towers Mark Golf Course Road?

Fixed points along the road that DLF measures at 8.3 km from DLF Gateway Tower to the Sector 55–56 rotary.

  1. Sikanderpur interchange

Since 14 November 2013, Sikanderpur has joined the Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line to the Rapid Metro through a walkway about 90 metres long, and the Rapid Metro keeps its own police station there. Family members travelling from Delhi on moving day change trains here.

  2. Sikanderpur and Arjun Marg underpasses

DLF’s project brief for the road shows six underpasses, among them the Sikanderpur and Arjun Marg underpasses and two U-turn underpasses, on a carriageway 78 metres wide with an 80 km/h limit. Those U-turns are the way back for a vehicle that overshoots its gate.

  3. Sector 42–43 and Sector 53–54 stations

These two Rapid Metro stops opened on 25 April 2017, almost four weeks after the rest of the southern extension had started running. Their names follow the DLF 5 sectors on either side of the road, so check which one is nearer your tower.

  4. One and Two Horizon Center

DLF describes One Horizon Center as a 25-storey office tower and Two Horizon Center as a larger building beside it, both on the signal-free road. Wikipedia places the pair in Sector 43, across from the Arnold Palmer-designed DLF Golf and Country Club.

Homes we move

From 39-Storey Towers to Low-Rise Floors

The road holds both extremes of DLF’s housing. Wikipedia’s list of tall buildings in Delhi-NCR records DLF Camellias (Camellias Road, Sector 42) at 39 floors and 156 metres, finished in 2017. In Sector 54, by contrast, DLF lists The Grove as a low-rise development of 4 and 5 BHK floors. In the first, every carton travels by the service lift; in the second, the staircase and the lane outside matter more.

Road Layout Points That Shape a Golf Course Road Move

  • Plan the U-turn

With no signals to turn across, a truck that misses a tower entrance has to go on to the next U-turn underpass and come back. Send the driver the gate’s exact position and which side of the road it is on.

  • Keep off the footpaths

DLF’s brief says the road was landscaped with about 5,000 trees, footpaths and cycle tracks, with utilities laid in a 5-metre corridor on each side. Loading belongs inside the building’s drive or at its bay, not on the edge of those paths.

  • Register vehicles at office towers

Where a building controls parking by RFID, as DLF says Horizon Center does, ask facility management how a visiting truck is let in, which entry it should use and how long it may stand there.

When to move

Monsoon and Summer Dates to Plan Around on Golf Course Road

Heavy rain still stops the road. On 10 July 2025, after rain that began the night before, The Tribune reported major jams on Golf Course Road, Sohna Road and the Jaipur Expressway, with commuters stuck for nearly two hours in several areas. A tower move in July or August should have a reserve date that the building will accept.

Summer is the other limit. On 16 May 2024 The Tribune reported a 42 °C day in Gurugram and an IMD forecast of up to 45 °C, and the district administration advised longer, more frequent breaks for outdoor work. For a move from a tall tower, that argues for loading early and keeping the afternoon for packing indoors.

Pricing guidance

What decides your moving cost in Golf Course Road

On Golf Course Road, building permissions, time slots and the amount of IT involved shape the quote, for an office and for an apartment.

Workstations and IT
The count of desks, computers, servers and printers sets the crew size, the packing and how long the move takes.
Moving in phases
A staged move spreads the work over several slots with smaller loads each time, instead of one long day.
Tower time slots
Evening or Saturday slots set by building management decide how many crew members are needed to finish in time.
Home and office together
Planning both moves at once shares the survey and the schedule; each move is still priced on its own load.
