Sector 51 takes in Mayfield Garden, a builder colony whose long-pending handover to the municipal corporation was ordered by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in June 2024, The Tribune reported. Unitech places its Nirvana Country township across Sectors 50 and 51, close to Golf Course Extension Road and the Sohna–Gurgaon highway. Artemis Hospital gives its address simply as Sector 51, Gurugram.

Two road projects matter for anyone moving here over the next couple of years. GMDA has floated a tender for a 900-metre flyover at Ambedkar Chowk, the junction joining Sectors 45, 46, 51 and 52, with completion targeted two years after work starts. Separately, the road dividing Sectors 51 and 52 is to be redesigned with drains on both sides, because it floods in the monsoon. While the work is on, lanes may be narrowed or diverted.

A builder floor is a different job from a tower flat. If your floor has no lift, furniture comes down the staircase, and the truck parks on the colony street rather than in a basement. Which Sector 51 Landmarks Decide How the Truck Gets In?

Two hospitals, a mall and a roundabout that floods set most of our routes through this sector.

  1. Artemis roundabout

    The circle by the hospital is on The Tribune's August 2025 list of spots that flood every monsoon, alongside Subhash Chowk and Sohna Road. If it is under water on the day, we wait or choose another approach before sending a loaded truck through.

  2. CK Birla Hospital, Nirvana Central Road

    Hospital directories give its address as Block J, Nirvana Central Road, Mayfield Garden, Sector 51. For a floor in or near Block J, we pick a standing spot for the truck that keeps the hospital entrance clear.

  3. Mall 51

    Croma's store page puts Mall 51 in Sector 51, near Artemis Hospital. A mall draws visitors in the evening and at weekends, so for homes on its side of the sector we prefer a weekday morning.

Floors, Houses and Apartments: What Each Means in Sector 51

NoBroker's locality page for Sector 51 lists builder floors, apartments and independent houses, and Mayfield Garden addresses run by lettered blocks, such as Block J and Block N. A floor in a shared building means a staircase used by other households, so we agree a quiet hour with the neighbours and keep the landings free of cartons.

An independent house takes longer to empty than a floor of the same size when it has a terrace store, a basement or staff quarters, because each level comes down the same stair. We size the crew to the number of levels and pack from the top down. Apartments here and in the township next door work the other way round: the estate office's lift slot sets the pace.

    GMDA says its water connections are only for areas under its jurisdiction; elsewhere the municipal corporation supplies and bills. Find out which applies to your block and settle that account before handing over the keys.

  • No-entry hours for the truck

    A Gurugram Traffic Police note on GMDA's Vehicle Movement Digi Pass page gives no-entry timings of 8 to 10 am and 5 to 9 pm for commercial vehicles on designated roads. We bring the truck through Ambedkar Chowk outside those hours.

When to move

Picking a Month and an Hour for a Sector 51 Move

Rain turns short drives into long ones here. After heavy rain in September 2022, The Tribune reported jams at Mayfield Garden, Artemis chowk and Sector 46–47 among many points, and more than 1,000 traffic police deployed across the city. In the monsoon we look for a date with a dry forecast and load after the morning rush has cleared.

Families with children often aim for the long school break. In 2026, Haryana closed its state schools for summer from 25 May to 30 June because of a severe heatwave alert, The Tribune reported. Those weeks fill quickly and are among the hottest of the year, so book early and plan the packing for the cooler morning hours.

Yes. Mayfield Garden is a builder colony in Sector 51, and Artemis Hospital is in the same sector. Part of Unitech's Nirvana Country, which spans Sectors 50 and 51, is here too.

Usually, yes. We measure the stairwell at the survey and take beds, wardrobes and sofa legs apart where needed. If a piece truly cannot pass the stairs, we tell you before the day, not on it.

It may. GMDA floated the tender in May 2026 and has targeted completion two years from the start of construction. Once work begins, lanes near the junction may be narrowed, so we check the route the day before and choose the time and the way in.
