Maruti Kunj lies in the south of Gurgaon, in the Bhondsi area, with the pin code 122102. Delhi Public School Maruti Kunj gives its address as Sohna Road, Bhondsi and describes a 13-acre campus set against the Aravalli hills; the school says it started in 1995 in Maruti Kunj flats. NoBroker's locality page lists its neighbours as Bhondsi, Rithoj, Sehjawas, Mahendwara, Nayagaon, Shanti Kunj and Sector 67.

It is not a sector of tower societies. Property portals describe a market made up mostly of plots, and an area guide says most homes are independent houses or builder floors, so a move usually means a house door or a staircase rather than a lift booking. There is no metro here yet: the nearest station NoBroker lists is Sector 55–56 on the Rapid Metro, about 13 km away, and local buses stop at Bhondsi Police Chowki, Maruti Kunj and Maruti Kunj More.

Plots, floors and colony lanes call for a different plan from a high-rise society.

  1. Truck size for the lane

    Some colony lanes are tight for a large truck to turn in. We ask for a photo of your street, and if needed send a smaller vehicle that ferries goods to a bigger one on the main road.

  2. Builder floors and stairs

    On an upper builder floor, the staircase decides the plan. Beds, almirahs and the fridge are measured against the stair turns before moving day.

  3. A whole house, not a flat

    An independent house tends to hold more: a terrace store, a garage, garden pots and tools. Walk us through every room and the roof so nothing is missed in the quote.

  4. After a downpour

    Resident reviews on property portals mention waterlogging and roads still being built. If it has rained hard, we check the approach before loading and keep goods wrapped and off the ground.

  5. The run up Sohna Road

    Most moves from here head north towards the city. The Sohna Road corridor is wide, but its junctions fill at office hours, so we load early.

Fixed Points on the Road Into Maruti Kunj

Maruti Kunj is reached from the Sohna end of the city, and a few well-known points shape the drive in and out.

  1. Maruti Kunj T-Point

    Gurugram traffic police ran a checking drive at this junction in September 2026, The Tribune reported, impounding a motorcycle with a long list of unpaid challans. Our trucks carry their papers, but a check here can add a few minutes.

  2. Sohna elevated road

    The corridor runs 21.65 km from Rajiv Chowk to K.R. Mangalam University near Sohna; its Badshahpur–Sohna section opened on 1 April 2022 and the whole road on 11 July 2022. In July 2024 part of the flyover caved in, a repeat of a similar hole in December 2023, blamed on a damaged sewer line, and lanes were closed. We check for repair closures before sending a loaded truck up it.

  3. District Jail Bhondsi

    The district jail stands in Bhondsi; in December 2025 the Chief Justice of India launched a correctional-justice programme there. It makes a fixed reference point when directing a driver who has not been to the colonies before.

  4. Bhondsi sewage plant site

    In February 2026 the foundation stone was laid for a 6 MLD sewage treatment plant on Sita Ram temple land in Bhondsi village, meant to end drainage trouble in Maruti Kunj. Expect construction traffic near the site while it is built.

Maruti Kunj is a cluster rather than a single colony: the report on the Bhondsi sewage plant counts 32 colonies in it. Each has its own internal lanes, so give us the colony name with the plot number and a landmark, and the driver will not lose time searching.

Where a plot has been rebuilt as builder floors, several households share one staircase and one gate. If another family in your building is moving the same week, tell us; we would rather stagger the two trucks than have both standing in the lane at once.

What Landlords, Colonies and Utilities Ask for in Maruti Kunj

  • Tenant police verification

    If you are renting, your landlord may ask for ID documents to file the tenant verification that Gurugram Police lists among its citizen services. Keep copies ready so the keys are not held up.

  • Drains reported early

    Maruti Kunj is an MCG ward: the mayor and the ward councillor attended the sewage plant's foundation ceremony. If the drain outside your gate is overflowing, report it to the corporation a week ahead so the crew is not carrying cartons through standing water.

  • No lift, but lane space

    Unlike a tower society, a colony house has no service lift to book. What the lane does need is room: ask neighbours to keep cars off the stretch outside your gate on the morning of the move.

When to move

The Best Weeks for a Maruti Kunj House Move

Mid-May can be brutal for a stair-heavy house move. In May 2024 The Tribune carried an IMD heatwave alert for Gurugram, with 43–45 °C forecast and the worst from 16 to 21 May. In weeks like that we start at first light and clear the terrace and upper floors before noon.

Until the Bhondsi sewage plant is running, drainage in the colonies stays a monsoon risk, and the report on its foundation stone gave no completion date. For a move between July and September we keep the date flexible by a day or two and avoid driving the loaded truck through standing water.
