Moving to Maruti Kunj usually means renting an independent house or one floor of a rebuilt plot in a cluster of colonies at Bhondsi, on the Sohna end of Gurgaon, at rents well below the city's tower sectors: NoBroker's averages run from about Rs 5,500 a month for one bedroom to Rs 20,000 or more for three. Before you arrive, settle the PIN on your papers, find out which police station holds your tenant verification, and plan for a road trip to the metro, because the closest working station is almost 8 km away as the crow flies.
This guide covers your first weeks as a resident: rent, post office, police, schools, clinics, buses and the daily routine of water and power. How we handle the lanes on moving day is on our packers and movers in Maruti Kunj Gurgaon page. We checked every source below on 2 November 2026 unless another date is given.
What will you rent, and for how much?
Most likely a house or a single floor, not a flat in a tower. Square Yards puts plots at 93 per cent of buyer demand here, which points to owner-built homes rather than towers. What the rent will be is less clear, because the portals disagree sharply:
| Source, read 2 Nov 2026 | One bedroom | Two bedrooms | Three bedrooms |
|---|---|---|---|
| NoBroker locality averages | about Rs 5,500 | about Rs 12,000 | Rs 20,000 and up |
| NoBroker two-bedroom house listings | not shown | Rs 5,000 to 25,000 | not shown |
| Square Yards, "broader Bhondsi area" | not given | Rs 30,000 | Rs 33,000 |
The NoBroker listings are closest to what you will actually see on a visit. Of the 26 two-bedroom houses on that page, most were between 650 and 1,000 sq ft, most asked between Rs 7,000 and Rs 13,000, and only two added a maintenance charge, of Rs 500. Square Yards' figures come from a wider area that takes in the new towers along Sohna Road, so treat them as a ceiling rather than a guide to colony houses.
Deposits were mostly one month's rent, a few were two, and one stood out: one listing in Vatika Kunj asked Rs 80,000 against a rent of Rs 10,000. Also note that a "Maruti Kunj" search on NoBroker returns homes in Bhondsi, Shanti Kunj and Vatika Kunj too. Ask for the colony name and plot number before you visit, and get the deposit, notice period and water charges written into the agreement.
Which PIN code and post office are yours?
Use 122102 unless a bill for your house shows something else. The India Post directory lists a Maruthi Kunj branch post office, spelt that way, under the Bhondsi sub post office, alongside branch offices at Damdama, Ghamroj, Kherla, Raisina and Rithoj.
One official record disagrees. The CBSE affiliation page for Delhi Public School, Maruti Kunj, gives its postal address as Maruti Kunj (Bhondsi) with PIN 122001, which is a central Gurgaon code. Take the PIN from your own electricity bill, then use that same number for your bank, Aadhaar, employer and school forms. Since Maruti Kunj is a set of separate colonies, always write the colony name next to the plot number.
Which police station covers the colony?
Probably PS Bhondsi, but check. The South district jurisdiction list from Gurugram Police does not mention Maruti Kunj by name. It does put the villages around it under PS Bhondsi:
- Bhondsi village and the Bhondsi jail
- Naya Gaon and Rithoj
- Sahajwas and Mahendwara
On OpenStreetMap, Police Station Bhondsi is about 1.9 km from the colony's centre point, and a police chowki is marked near the colony market. Your landlord should file your tenant verification before you move in; ask which station it was filed with and store the acknowledgement alongside the lease. How verification works, and what other public rules apply, is in our Maruti Kunj rules guide.
Which schools are close?
One CBSE senior secondary school is inside the colony, and plenty of smaller private schools surround it. The CBSE record for Delhi Public School, Maruti Kunj gives:
- affiliation number 530233, senior secondary level;
- year of foundation 1995, with the school first opened on 1 April 2005 as recorded by CBSE;
- an affiliation period running from 1 April 2024 until 31 March 2029.
The straight-line distances below come from OpenStreetMap, measured from its Maruti Kunj point on 2 November 2026.
| School marked on OpenStreetMap | Distance |
|---|---|
| Delhi Public School | about 0.13 km |
| Mariya Gold Public School | about 0.33 km |
| SD International School | about 0.5 km |
| Wingspan Public School | about 0.67 km |
| Doon Global School | about 0.75 km |
| Saint Michael School | about 0.84 km |
| Government Secondary School | about 1.1 km |
Square Yards lists its nearest school at 4.95 km and calls distance to schools a drawback, which does not fit the map. A NoBroker tenant writing in April 2026 said schools and clinics were within walking distance. We checked only DPS against a register, so ask any other school for its board and recognition before you pay a fee.
Where will you see a doctor and buy groceries?
Close by, for everyday needs. OpenStreetMap marks Medicare Hospital and a Union Bank of India branch within about 80 metres of the colony's centre, Maruti Kunj Market about 200 metres away, and Shyam Kunj Hospital, Aarogya Hospital and Jeeven Hospital and Surgical Centre within about 400 metres. We have not checked their hours, beds or emergency cover.
For a larger hospital you will drive towards Sohna Road. NoBroker names Park Hospital, Satyam Hospital and Akropolis Super Speciality Hospital among the options, and Square Yards puts Medway Hospital at about 5.3 km. Choose one before the move, store its emergency line in your phone and try the drive once in daylight. For malls, Square Yards places AIPL Joy Square at about 4.3 km.
How will you get to work?
Mostly by car, scooter or shared auto. Measured on OpenStreetMap, these are the straight-line distances from the colony's centre; the roads are longer:
| Destination | Straight-line distance |
|---|---|
| Bhondsi village | about 1.9 km |
| Sector 67 | about 3.5 km |
| Sector 55–56 station (Rapid Metro) | about 7.7 km |
| Subhash Chowk | about 8.6 km |
| Millennium City Centre metro (Yellow Line) | about 11.1 km |
| Gurgaon railway station | about 15.8 km |
| IGI Airport | about 21.8 km |
Buses exist but need checking. YoMetro, a third-party route site, lists four GMCBL city-bus routes at the Maruti Kunj Mode stop: 111B to HUDA City Centre (the station now named Millennium City Centre), 118 between HUDA City Centre and Sohna bus stand, and 217 and 218 from Gurugram bus stand. The page carries no date and we could not confirm it on GMCBL's own site. OpenStreetMap places the Maruti Kunj More stop about 1.7 km from the centre. A NoBroker tenant wrote in March 2026 that shared autos to Sohna Road work but are slow, and that buses are rare.
A metro is only an idea for now. On 17 June 2026 Swarajya reported, citing the Hindustan Times, that RITES had proposed a tentative 20 km corridor with 17 stations from Bhondsi village to Gurugram railway station, with the alignment still provisional. Do not pick a home on the strength of it.
What should you ask about water and power?
Ask before you sign, because residents mention both. NoBroker tenants, writing in May 2026, said water comes at fixed times and is manageable with a borewell or tank, and that power cuts happen in the afternoon. Another reviewer, in March 2026, complained of dust on the main stretch from passing dumpers.
Questions for the landlord:
- Is water municipal, from a borewell, or bought by tanker, and how large is the roof tank?
- Is there an inverter, and does it run the water pump?
- Is the electricity meter in the owner's name, and what is the last paid bill?
- Who else shares the gate and staircase, and where does each household park?
How rain affects the lanes, and the drainage work under way, is covered in our Maruti Kunj monsoon guide.
What goes on your first-month list?
- To do: One PIN, taken from a bill, used on every form
- To do: Tenant verification filed, with the station's name noted
- To do: School seat confirmed, transfer certificate carried by hand
- To do: A hospital chosen and its number saved in every phone
- To do: Meter readings photographed on the day you take the keys
- To do: Water timings, tank cleaning and inverter checked
- To do: Bus route and shared-auto point found for each commuter
- To do: Colony name, plot number and a landmark sent to every delivery app
How much will the move into Maruti Kunj cost?
Within Gurgaon, a one-bedroom household costs Rs 4,500–7,000 to bring here, going by the indicative October 2026 figures from Radhe Shyam, our owner; a two-bedroom house, Rs 8,000–12,500; a three-bedroom house, Rs 12,000–15,000. Those bands are also printed on our Gurgaon city page. A whole house with a roof store and a garage often sits at the top of its band, and anything above three bedrooms is priced after a survey. Our Maruti Kunj shifting costs guide explains what moves a quote within its band.
A Delhi start changes the band: three bedrooms Rs 14,000–16,500, two Rs 10,000–13,500 and one Rs 7,000–8,000. One dated rule matters there: UNI reported on 26 October 2026 that from 1 November 2026 until 31 January 2027 Delhi keeps out outside-registered vehicles that fall short of the BS-VI standard. If your goods are loaded in Delhi, ask whether the truck meets BS-VI before you book.
The closest of our branches is the South City II one in Sector 49, roughly 7 km away as the crow flies. Calls are answered 8 am–9 pm from Monday to Saturday; the office is shut on Sundays. If you are still choosing between this colony and a tower flat further up the road, our Sohna Road newcomer guide compares the stretches, and household shifting lists what our crew does on the day.
Key takeaway
Maruti Kunj is a cluster of owner-built houses and floors at Bhondsi, with NoBroker rents of about Rs 12,000 for two bedrooms, a CBSE school (DPS, affiliation 530233) and small clinics on its doorstep. Use PIN 122102 unless a bill says otherwise, check that PS Bhondsi holds your verification, ask about water and backup power, and plan on road transport: the nearest metro station is almost 8 km away.
Once the keys and the date are fixed, share both addresses with us, naming the colony and the floor at each end. Everything here is general information taken from the listed sources and checked on 2 November 2026. Portal rents, bus routes, postal records and police boundaries change, so verify them again before signing anything.
