A house move inside Maruti Kunj, or from it to anywhere else in Gurgaon, is priced on our October 2026 indicative figures: Rs 4,500–7,000 if you are leaving a single bedroom, Rs 8,000–12,500 if there are two, and Rs 12,000–15,000 when there are three. Where your quote lands inside that band depends far less on the distance than on three local things: how much an independent house holds, how many flights of stairs the crew climbs, and how near your gate the truck can park.

Our Maruti Kunj packers and movers page describes the colony and the road in. This post deals only with money, time and access: what the ranges cover, what lengthens the working day, and where a vehicle can wait.

How much does a house move in Maruti Kunj cost?

These are the same ranges we publish, dated October 2026, on our Gurgaon city page. They apply to any move that starts and ends inside Gurgaon, including a short hop between two Maruti Kunj colonies.

Home Our range, October 2026 Tends to sit low when Tends to sit high when
1 BHK Rs 4,500–7,000 Ground floor, truck at the gate, little furniture Second floor or above, a long carry from the vehicle
2 BHK Rs 8,000–12,500 A floor unit with no terrace or store to clear A whole house with roof storage, a garage and garden pots
3 BHK Rs 12,000–15,000 Almirahs and beds pass the stair turns whole Heavy pieces need dismantling, or goods travel by shuttle vehicle

A house larger than three bedrooms is priced only after we have seen every room, the roof and the street. Vehicles have their own October 2026 ranges: Rs 3,000–7,000 to carry a bike, and Rs 9,000–11,500 for a car going up to 50 km; car transport explains how a vehicle travels. To compare these local figures with intercity ones, see our Gurgaon charges guide.

Why can a Maruti Kunj house cost more than a flat of the same size?

Because the BHK count describes the bedrooms, not the load. The housing here is mostly low-rise: Square Yards says plots make up most of the local market, and a January 2026 Sapient Realty guide says the majority of homes are independent houses or builder floors.

A family leaving a whole house usually has more to pack than one leaving a tower flat with the same number of bedrooms:

  • The roof. A terrace store can hold old furniture, coolers and suitcases.
  • The ground floor. A garage or a store room often holds tools, cycles, a spare fridge or an inverter battery.
  • The garden. Pots, planters and outdoor seating have to be wrapped separately and take up room in the truck.

None of this changes the range, but it moves the figure towards its upper end. Walk us through every room and the roof, by video if that is easier, so the written quote counts the same things the crew will find.

What lengthens crew hours on moving day?

Mostly the carry between door and vehicle, and time lost finding the address. The points that matter most in Maruti Kunj:

  1. Finding the plot. A February 2026 report on the Bhondsi sewage plant put the number of colonies in Maruti Kunj at 32. Send the colony name, plot number and a landmark with your booking, and send a map pin to the driver.
  2. Stairs. On a builder floor every carton goes up or down by hand. Each extra flight adds trips, and a narrow turn can force a bed or almirah to be taken apart on the landing.
  3. The road surface. Residents quoted by NoBroker describe broken roads with large potholes and approaches that are still dirt tracks. A loaded trolley moves slowly over that, so the crew carries more by hand.
  4. A shuttle. If the full-size truck has to wait on a wider road, every load is transferred twice, once into a smaller vehicle and again at the truck.
  5. Light. The same NoBroker residents, writing in June 2026, said streetlights in the inner lanes did not work after about 7 pm. A late start that pushes unloading past dusk is slower and riskier on uneven ground.

How wide are the lanes, and will a truck fit?

Nobody publishes the answer. We found no lane widths for the Maruti Kunj colonies on any MCG, GMDA or property-portal page we checked in October 2026, so the only reliable answer is to look at your own lane before the day.

One thing narrows lanes across the city. In a public notice reported by The Tribune on 9 August 2026, the MCG said unauthorised ramps built over public roads and streets had reduced the usable carriageway and blocked traffic, and warned owners to regularise them or face action. Maruti Kunj is an MCG ward, so a ramp outside a neighbour's gate can be what stops a truck from turning in, whatever the lane's nominal width.

Send us a photo or short video taken from your gate, looking both ways down the lane. It helps us choose the vehicle size and tells us:

  • To do: whether a truck can turn into the lane from the road it joins
  • To do: whether ramps, steps or parked cars pinch the lane near your gate
  • To do: how far the nearest wide road is if the truck has to wait there
  • To do: whether low wires or branches hang over the lane

Where does the truck stand?

At your gate when the lane allows it. When it does not, the big truck parks on a broader road and a small vehicle ferries loads from your gate to it. The aim is the shortest carry that does not block anyone else's way out.

Settle these before the day:

  • Neighbours' cars. Ask the households beside you, the evening before, to leave the stretch outside your gate clear in the morning.
  • A second household in the same building. On a rebuilt plot, several families share one gate and staircase. If another floor is moving the same week, stagger the dates.
  • The main roads. NoBroker lists Damdama Lake Road, District Central Jail Road and the Delhi-Alwar road among the routes serving the area. A truck should not stand on a through road while it loads.
  • Paperwork on the way out. On 23 September 2026 The Tribune reported a routine traffic-police checking drive at the Maruti Kunj T-Point. Keep the vehicle's papers to hand and allow a few minutes in case of a stop.

The drive itself has two timing points. A Gurugram Traffic Police note hosted by GMDA, which carries no date, puts designated roads off limits to permit-less commercial vehicles at 8–10 every morning and 5–9 every evening; check whether it still applies, and to your vehicle size, before you fix the hour. And the Sohna elevated road, which runs 21.65 km from Rajiv Chowk, had part of its surface cave in during July 2024, The Tribune reported, with lanes shut for repair. Check for current closures on the morning of a move north.

Moving between Maruti Kunj and a nearby area: what changes?

The price band stays the same for any move inside Gurgaon. What changes is the destination's access. Our branch in South City II (Sector 49) lies further north along Sohna Road.

Leaving a house for a society flat is the common pattern. The flat usually has a booked lift and a fixed truck slot, which we arrange with your help; the house end has the stairs and the lane. Plan the morning around the harder end. For the colonies and societies along this road, our Sohna Road moving guide gives the wider picture.

How can you keep the quote towards the lower end?

Take work out of the moving day itself:

  • To do: Clear the roof and the store room a week early, and give away what you will not use.
  • To do: Measure the staircase width and the tightest turn, and list pieces that may not pass whole.
  • To do: Pack books, clothes and kitchenware yourself, sealed and labelled by room, if you have the time.
  • To do: Keep the lane outside your gate free of cars from early morning.
  • To do: Start early, so loading and the drive are done well before dusk.
  • To do: If the new home is smaller, decide what goes into storage before the crew arrives.

Every stage of the work, from packing to placing furniture, is set out on our household shifting page. For a written quote, send both addresses, the floors and your date.

This post is general information. Our figures are indicative October 2026 ranges rather than quotes, and traffic rules, road closures and MCG notices change, so check the latest before booking.
