Packers and movers · Malviya Nagar, South Delhi
Maxx Relocation moves rented rooms, 1RK studios and 1BHK flats in Malviya Nagar, packing small flats quickly and carrying everything down the stairs. Your bike can go on a carrier to a new city in the same booking.
Area overview

Malviya Nagar was first settled in the 1950s by families who came to Delhi after Partition, and today it is bounded by Panchsheel Enclave, Sheikh Sarai, Saket and Hauz Khas, according to its Wikipedia entry. The same entry counts Geetanjali Enclave, Navjeevan Vihar, Bhavishya Nidhi Enclave, Shivalik colony, Begumpur, Sarvodaya Enclave and MMTC Colony as parts of Malviya Nagar, so a quote request from any of them is handled the same way. Many of the moves we are asked to do here are rented rooms, 1RK studios and 1BHK flats on the upper floors of three- and four-storey buildings, often taken by students and young professionals. Leases usually run to the end of a month, so the last few days of one month and the first few of the next are the busiest.
A small flat still needs a plan. The stairs are often steep, with no lift, and the lane outside may fit only one vehicle at a time. We send a crew sized to the job, pack the kitchen and the bed first, and keep one carton open for the things you need that night. When a room holds little more than a bed, a desk and some cartons, the work is often finished in a morning.
Plenty of tenants here are also leaving Delhi for a new job. If your bike is going too, book it on our car and bike transport service along with your household, so one team handles both. Staying close by instead? Many people simply cross over to Saket next door, and our packers and movers in Delhi page covers moves to any other part of the city.
Local know-how
Rental moves here are small but tightly timed. These are the things we plan around.
On the ground in Malviya Nagar South Delhi
The last days of a month are the busiest for rental moves in the area. Book a few days early so you get a morning slot and are out before the next tenant arrives.
Rooms at the top of a steep stair mean every piece goes down by hand. We wrap the mattress and the bed frame on their own so they turn the landings without scraping the walls.
Defrost and dry the fridge the night before. We wrap both machines in sheeting, protect the doors and control panels, and keep them upright in the vehicle.
A bike going to Bengaluru, Pune or Mumbai travels on a carrier, not on its own wheels. When you book, we tell you the papers we need and how much fuel to leave in the tank.
The roads around the Main Market can fill up as the day goes on. We prefer to load early, while a vehicle can still stand close to your building.
Once the rooms are empty, take a few photos and a short video before you return the keys. It is a simple record to have when your deposit is settled.
Finding your way
The sub-colonies here run into one another, so we brief drivers with a landmark as well as a house number.
Wikipedia names Sri Aurobindo Marg, the main road from Central Delhi to Gurgaon, as one of the colony's two big boundary roads, and places the Delhi Police Training School here. The PTS Malviya Nagar signal on that road is a named diversion point in the Saket mall advisories, and it makes a clear meeting spot for a truck arriving from Gurgaon.
For the Magenta Line, the change is at Hauz Khas, an underground station about 29 metres deep that lists Malviya Nagar among its neighbours. Yellow Line trains have stopped there since 2010 and Magenta Line trains since May 2018, so family members travelling from Janakpuri or Noida can switch there for Malviya Nagar station.
Geetanjali Enclave, a cooperative colony beside Shivalik, has entry points from the Saket side and from Shivalik Road, according to Wikipedia. Tell us which entry your lane is nearer, because the two bring a vehicle in from opposite ends of the colony.
In the Begumpur pocket stands the Begumpur Mosque, a Tughlaq-era building of about 1343 that the Archaeological Survey of India protects as a monument of national importance. It is the landmark to quote if your home is in the village lanes around it, where the approach can be tighter than in the planned blocks.
Homes we move
Geetanjali Enclave began as a cooperative residential society, with plots allotted to about 174 members, and Wikipedia gives its registered office as C-9 Geetanjali. Homes here are individual houses on their own plots rather than tower flats, so there is no service lift to book. The stair and the frontage of your own building decide how the crew works.
The older parts of the area keep reminders of the Delhi Sultanate. Wikipedia lists the tomb of the Sufi saint Sheikh Yusuf Qattal, who died in 1526–27, and the Lal Gumbad of 1397 among its monuments. Around sites like these, and in Begumpur's lanes, houses can sit close together, and we often carry from a vehicle parked on the nearest wider road.
On the ground
When air quality turns severe, the Commission for Air Quality Management can invoke Stage IV of GRAP, which stops BS-IV trucks entering Delhi unless they carry essential goods or services. It did so on 17 January 2026, All India Radio reported. If your date falls in a winter week like that, we confirm which vehicle can legally reach you before you lock the date.
Delhi has, since 1 November 2025, turned away commercial goods vehicles registered elsewhere unless they meet BS-VI or run on CNG, LNG or electricity, and older BS-IV diesels have a reprieve only to 31 October 2026, per The Tribune. Inbound moves to Malviya Nagar are booked on a vehicle that complies.
In a cooperative colony such as Geetanjali, ask the society office whether it wants notice of a move and whether trucks may enter at set hours only. Pass the answer to us and we will time the loading to fit.

When to move
Monsoon storms bring down trees as well as rain. In the wet spell The Tribune reported on 6 September 2026, fallen trees near Malviya Nagar metro station led police to send commuters onto MB Road. On a stormy day we allow time for a blocked approach and keep sheeting ready for the load.
May and June are hard on stair carries. On 24 May 2026 the city's maximum reached 43.6 °C, ETV Bharat reported, and a top-floor walk-up in that heat slows any crew. In summer we begin at first light and aim to have the flat empty before noon.

Pricing guidance
A Malviya Nagar flat move is priced mostly on what is in the room and how many floors it comes down, not on the drive. A bike heading to another city is quoted as its own line.
| Move | 1 BHK | 2 BHK | 3 BHK |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gurgaon to Delhi | ₹7,000–8,000 | ₹10,000–13,500 | ₹14,000–16,500 |

FAQ
Still have a question?
Call or WhatsApp us and talk it through with our team.
Often, yes. A Malviya Nagar room with a bed, a table and ten to fifteen cartons can usually be packed and loaded in a morning if the stairs are clear. A full 1BHK takes longer. We give you a time estimate when you book.
About a week ahead is sensible. Month-end dates tend to go first, and booking early lets you pick a morning slot rather than taking whatever is left.
Malviya Nagar station on the Yellow Line, on Press Enclave Marg just north of Saket's A Block. Wikipedia notes that it is actually nearer Geetanjali Enclave than the older Malviya Nagar blocks, with one exit opening inside that colony. It makes an easy landmark to agree on if you want to meet the crew on the way.
Yes. Walk the crew through what is yours before packing starts, and put a sticky note on anything shared that is staying. We pack and list only your items.
