Packers and movers · Chhatarpur, South Delhi
Maxx Relocation moves farmhouses and lane homes in Chhatarpur, and plans the vehicles first: a farmhouse set back from the main road and a builder floor in a tight lane need different trucks. Then we pack everything, from the gym to the garden, and move your cars as well.
Area overview

Chhatarpur, often written Chattarpur, holds two very different kinds of home. The wider Chhatarpur area takes in a dozen villages, and some, such as Satbari, are known for their greenery and farmhouses; the DLF Farms belt lies by Ghitorni metro station. A farmhouse typically has a long driveway, lawns and outbuildings. Chhatarpur village itself, around the temple, is a different world: Wikipedia's South Delhi district article lists it among the area's severely congested old villages, and its lanes can be too narrow for a large truck. The temple draws its biggest crowds at Navratri, when, as the temple's Wikipedia page puts it, a Katyayani shrine that opens only in that season brings thousands of visitors, so we avoid those days for moves near it.
A farmhouse move is big. Beyond the house there is outdoor furniture, planters, a home gym, a bar counter, staff quarters and often two or three cars. We survey the property first, count the loads and plan the order: garden and outbuildings first, then the main rooms, then the cars. On a large property that can mean several trips, or several trucks on the same day.
In the lanes, the problem is reaching the door at all. A large truck may not get in, so we use smaller canters to shuttle goods to a bigger vehicle on the main road. For vehicles, see our car transport service, and for furniture you want to keep aside, see storage. Our packers and movers in Delhi page covers moves to the rest of the city.
Local know-how
Two kinds of move, two different plans. These are the points we check on the survey.
On the ground in Chhatarpur South Delhi
For a farmhouse, walking the grounds is the only way to count the rooms, outbuildings and outdoor pieces and get the truck plan right.
We check the farm gate width and the turning space on the drive, so we send the largest truck that fits and no time is lost reversing.
In the village lanes and the denser pockets around them, smaller canters carry goods out to a larger truck waiting on a wider road.
Treadmills, weight racks, swings, planters and garden furniture are wrapped, and taken apart where their design allows.
Two or three cars, or a car and a bike, can go on carriers on the same day as the household, with online vehicle tracing on the way.
Some low spots flood after heavy rain. In July 2026 the Delhi government took up recurring waterlogging on Dera Mandi Road near Mandi village in the wider Chhatarpur area. In the rains we check the approach to your gate the day before.
Finding your way
A farm gate can sit well back from the main road, so these are the reference points we give drivers first.
Delhi Traffic Police named these, with MG Road and Anuvrat Marg, as the roads that would crawl during Navratri in October 2024, Native Planet reported. When your gate is reached from any of them, we check the festival calendar before fixing the date.
Wikipedia says this Yellow Line station, opened on 26 August 2010, is the only one in the network built entirely of steel, and that it serves Mehrauli, Kishangarh and Vasant Kunj as well as temple visitors. It is an easy point to meet a crew coming from Gurgaon.
The new Golden Line adds a Chhatarpur interchange and a separate Chhatarpur Mandir station, both listed for 2026. Until they open there may be work zones near the temple road, so we leave extra time on the drive in.
Dera, beside Chhatarpur, lies in the eco-sensitive zone around the Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary, linked to the city by the Mehrauli–Gurgaon Road and Dera Mandi Road, according to Wikipedia. Farms on this side are reached along Dera Mandi Road, the stretch we recheck after rain.
Homes we move
Much of the farm belt sits on the edge of the Aravallis. Wikipedia places Satbari near the southern ridge and describes Dera, in the Mehrauli tehsil, as a mix of hilly ground, fields and built-up land where farmhouses and real estate have grown. On ground like this the drive from the gate can climb, dip or turn soft after rain, so on the survey we walk the route from your door to the nearest paved road, because a loaded truck handles a slope or a muddy verge very differently from an empty one.
On the ground
Any goods vehicle registered outside Delhi, including one coming in from Gurgaon, has needed to be BS-VI diesel, CNG, LNG or electric to enter the city since 1 November 2025, with BS-IV diesels allowed only to 31 October 2026, as The Tribune reported. Every truck we send to a Chhatarpur farm meets that rule.
Goods vehicles face restricted hours on Delhi roads, and plying in them needs Delhi Traffic Police's No Entry Permission. When a farmhouse fills more than one truck, we stagger the loads so each one travels in permitted hours, and the timings go into your quote.
If the farm has a gate guard, give them the vehicle numbers and the crew size the day before. Trucks that are expected are let straight in instead of waiting in a narrow lane.

When to move
Late May is hard on outdoor work. On 24 May 2026, Ayanagar, further down the Mehrauli–Gurgaon Road, and the Ridge were the hottest parts of Delhi at 44.6 °C, ETV Bharat reported. A farmhouse move means hours on open lawns, so in May and June we start at dawn and clear the garden pieces first.
Check the spring and autumn Navratri dates before booking a farm near the temple; in 2024 the autumn festival ran from 3 to 13 October. A date a week either side keeps the trucks clear of the crowds on the temple roads.

Usually. We check the gate, the approach road and the room to turn during the survey. If a big truck cannot turn in, we send two smaller ones instead. The same checks apply to large homes in nearby Sainik Farm.
Yes. Garden furniture is cleaned of loose soil and wrapped, planters are drained and moved upright, and gym machines are taken apart where possible. Tell us about anything bolted to the floor.
Yes. Each car goes on a covered carrier, and all of them can be booked with the household in one quote, for a move within Delhi or to another city.
It depends on the size. A large Chhatarpur farmhouse often needs two days or more: packing first, loading after. You get a day-by-day plan once we have done the survey.
Yes. Furniture that will not fit the new home can go into palletised storage, watched by CCTV, until you decide what to do with it.
