Shalimar Bagh sits in the north-west of Delhi, a short drive from the Haryana border. Many families we move here have work, business or relatives in the towns along NH-44, the Grand Trunk Road: Sonipat, Panipat and Karnal. When they move, it is often up this road. Two metro stations list Shalimar Bagh in their addresses: Shalimar Bagh on the Pink Line, in Block AG of Poorbi Shalimar Bagh, and Haiderpur Badli Mor on the Outer Ring Road by C and D Block, where the Yellow and Magenta lines meet.
The distances are modest. Sonipat is around 45 km from New Delhi and Panipat about 95 km north of Delhi on NH-44, according to Wikipedia; Karnal lies further up the same highway. Shalimar Bagh is on the city's northern side, so the drive from here is a little shorter. That puts these moves in a middle ground. They are longer than a city move, so goods need road packing, but short enough that a well-planned one can be loaded in the morning and unloaded by evening.
The route itself needs planning too. Goods vehicles face time limits on many Delhi roads, and the crossing at the Singhu border, just south of Kundli, can be slow at busy hours. We pick a departure time that clears the city early and plan the unloading for daylight at your new home.
