Door-to-door packing, loading and delivery for a full home or just a few cartons.
R.K. Puram is one of the largest government colonies in Delhi. The Central Public Works Department started building it in the late 1950s on land of the old Mohammadpur village, south-west of the Secretariat, and most of it is still double-storeyed blocks of two- and three-bedroom quarters for central government officers, as its Wikipedia entry records. Later came Som Vihar, a cooperative for defence officers set up in the mid-1980s, and high-rise blocks such as Nivedita Kunj for senior officers.
The CPWD's list of its maintenance divisions names R.K. Puram Sectors 1 to 13, puts Nivedita Kunj in Sector 10, and shows CGHS dispensaries in Sectors 6, 8 and 12. Quarters in the general pool come in classified types, from Type I up to Type VIII, under the General Pool Residential Accommodation Rules, 2017. A paper in the Institute of Town Planners journal notes that CPWD norms gave lifts only to the higher types, so in most blocks here our crew carries each carton and almirah by hand.
The calendar matters as much as the stairs. When an allottee moves to another quarter, rule 44 of those rules allows the former one to be kept for thirty days for shifting, and a transfer out of the station carries its own retention period.
