Sector 7 is in the older middle of Rohini, ringed by Sectors 3, 6, 8 and 9, with Naharpur village at its edge. Bhagwan Mahavir Marg, the road the Red Line follows through Rohini, crosses it. The two stations on either side now go by new names: the stop long known as Rohini East is listed as Rohini, and the old Rohini West is Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, after the Delhi government hospital that stands in Sector 6.

Those renamings matter on moving day more than you might think. A driver told to turn at Rohini West and a map app showing Ambedkar Hospital are pointing at the same place, but sorting that out in traffic wastes time. So when you share your address, give us the block and house number, a pin location and a landmark, for example DAV Public School, Sector 7. Our crew gets a briefing that carries both the old and the new station names.

The main road can be busy for much of the day, and the side roads near markets and schools fill up at opening and closing time. We prefer to load in the late morning, after the school run, and to finish before the evening build-up. Moving Out of a Sector 7 Home

The practical side of a Sector 7 move, from the staircase to the new address.

  1. Builder floors and walk-ups

    On an upper floor without a lift, every item goes down the stairs by hand. We dismantle beds and wardrobes in the room and size cartons for a narrow landing.

  2. Appliances ready for the stairs

    Ask for the fridge to be defrosted the night before. We secure the washing machine drum and put the TV in a padded carton. Mention any inverter battery or water purifier so the right packing comes along.

  3. Short hops inside Rohini

    Going to Sector 8, 9 or another sector nearby? For a flat up to 2BHK, the packing, the drive and the unloading usually fit inside one working day.

  4. South to Gurgaon

    Once loading is done, a Gurgaon-bound truck heads south, staying outside Delhi's restricted hours for goods vehicles. Unloading at the new address can begin the same evening.

  5. When the dates do not match

    If the new home is not ready yet, goods can wait in our warehouse and come to you on a date you pick.

Finding your way

Sector 7 Landmarks That Decide How the Truck Gets In

Sector 7 lies inland from the Outer Ring Road, so the way in matters as much as the address. Our driver plans around these points.

  1. Deepali Chowk station

    The Magenta Line reached Deepali Chowk on 8 March 2026, on the Outer Ring Road beside Sectors 3 and 8, a short way south of Sector 7. Family members get a third metro choice, and the chowk is often where a Gurgaon-bound truck joins the ring road.

  2. Sukhlal Market and the D-12 market

    OpenStreetMap shows Sukhlal Market on Pradeep Bhatia Marg and a market at D-12 inside the sector. Shopfronts mean double-parked scooters during trading hours, so we never plan to stop a truck alongside either.

  3. MCD Maternity Government Hospital

    A municipal maternity hospital stands within the sector. Whatever the lane, the crew keeps its approach free and does not unload across any gate that an ambulance might need.

  4. Shiva Road and Gitarattan Jindal Public School

    DAV sits on Shiva Road, one of the roads Square Yards names for getting around the sector, and the map shows Gitarattan Jindal Public School in the sector too. Two schools mean two sets of gate times, so loading starts after the morning arrivals have cleared.

DDA Allotments and Builder Floors in Sector 7

According to Square Yards, most flats in Sector 7 were allotted to families by DDA, with builder floors and some independent houses mixed in. Addresses follow the lettered-block pattern seen on the map in names such as the D-10 park and the D-12 market, so the block letter alone tells the crew which corner of the sector to head for.

A DDA walk-up and a builder floor call for different crews. In a DDA block the stair is shared, so we move in relays and keep each landing passable for the families above. A builder floor has a stair of its own, but it can be tight at the turns, so wardrobes and beds are taken apart in the room before they are carried.

Square Yards also says the sector lacks exit pathways and feels overcrowded. For a truck that means checking, before it turns into your lane, whether it can turn at the far end or will have to reverse all the way out.

What to Arrange Before Moving Out of Sector 7

  • Re-registering a car in Haryana

    A Delhi-registered car kept in another state for more than twelve months must be given a new registration mark there, and the application needs the no-objection certificate under Section 48 (Motor Vehicles Act, Section 47). If the move to Gurgaon is permanent, apply for the NOC early.

  • Gas while the flat stands empty

    If the Sector 7 flat will be locked up for months, IGL offers temporary disconnection for long periods of non-use and describes it as advisable for safety. No bill is raised while it lasts.

  • Neighbours on a shared stair

    In a DDA block, tell the families above and below the day and the hours. Half a day of carrying past their doors goes more smoothly when they expect it and keep shoes and pots off the landing.

When to move

Choosing Your Moving Date in Sector 7

School calendars drive much of the demand here. Delhi government schools broke for summer from 11 May to 30 June 2026 (Free Press Journal), and families aiming to settle before the new term fill those weeks first, so a date in mid-May should be fixed by April.

Monsoon mornings can stall the ring road. After heavy overnight rain on 11 July 2025, Madhuban Chowk was among the junctions with prolonged congestion, The Tribune reported. When that happens we push the start back rather than send a crew into the queue.

Winter has its own rule for trucks. From 31 October 2026, BS-IV and older light and medium goods vehicles face restrictions under GRAP Stage III, with heavier trucks covered at Stage IV (WION). For a November to January move we check the stage in force the evening before.

Two Red Line stations sit close by. Rohini, formerly Rohini East, is on the eastern side in Sectors 8 and 14, and Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, formerly Rohini West, serves Sectors 6 and 10. Which one is nearer depends on your block.

We plan for it rather than fight it. Loading usually starts after the morning school run, and we aim to have the truck away before the evening rush. If your society or lane has its own hours for goods, we fit the day around them.
