Moving house inside Sector 56, or from it to any other Gurgaon address, falls within the owner's ranges set in October 2026, starting at Rs 4,500 for the smallest one-bedroom move and topping out at Rs 15,000 for a large three-bedroom home. The short drive barely moves the figure; what does is the paperwork at the gate, whether your block has a lift, and the hour at which the truck meets AIT Chowk or the works on Golf Course Extension Road.

What will a Sector 56 house shift cost in October 2026?
The ranges below are the owner's, the same ones shown on our Gurgaon packers and movers page, and they were last revised in October 2026.

Treat each range as a guide, not a price. A firm figure comes only after we have seen the home, on a visit or a video call, and it rests on how much is moving, how long each door takes and whether anything goes into storage. Several sites that rank for this search print "starting prices" or rate charts with no date and no basis; ours carry a date so you can tell whether they still hold. What paperwork does Kendriya Vihar ask for?
Kendriya Vihar publishes its rules on the owners' association website, and four of its documents bear directly on a moving day:

Two things follow. First, both the form and the 2026 guidelines tie your permission to clear maintenance dues, so settle the account and get a receipt before you ask for the pass; a pass held up on the morning leaves the crew waiting at the gate. Second, the hours differ: 7 am to 7 pm on the form, 5 am to 10 pm in the guidelines. The guidelines are about guards not blocking residents, not about a whole house leaving on a truck, so ask the office which window it applies to a full move and which gate the truck should use. The Gate 3 notice is five years old; check whether it still stands.
Fill the item list properly. A form that says "household goods" may be sent back, while one that lists beds, wardrobes, sofa, fridge, washing machine, cartons and their numbers matches what the guard will see at the gate.
Will your block have a lift?
In Kendriya Vihar, that depends on the block type. The association's notice list carries several items about replacing lifts in the MS blocks, and on 6 October 2025 it issued a circular on capsule lifts for the non-MS blocks. Citing the difficulties of senior citizens, it allowed owners to install a pit-less capsule lift without a machine room at their own cost, with a payment at the collector's circle rate where common area is used. So in a non-MS block, plan for the stairs unless the owner confirms a capsule lift has been fitted, and even then ask its cabin size before assuming furniture will fit.
Outside the campus, crew hours go in different places:

When should the truck run?
Inside two sets of hours: the city's and your society's. The Gurugram Traffic Police's Digi Pass note, kept on a GMDA server, keeps commercial goods vehicles off designated roads during the morning rush, 8 am until 10 am, and the evening rush, 5 pm until 9 pm. Since the note is undated, confirm those hours before you fix the slot.
Lay that over Kendriya Vihar's 7 am to 7 pm window and the safe stretch is from about 10 am to 5 pm. A one- or two-bedroom move within the sector usually fits in it; a larger home may need packing done on the day before so that the truck day goes on carrying.
The junction to plan around is AIT Chowk. The Tribune reported on 19 May 2025 that the junction links Sectors 53, 54, 55 and 56, takes flows from MG Road, Cyber City and Golf Course Road, and is a way in and out for people bound for Delhi and Sohna Road. GMDA had drawn up an underpass after the traffic police raised the junction in February that year; the proposal was yet to be approved, and by October 2026 we had found no report of approval or construction. If work does start, lanes will shift, and a loaded truck that misses its turn cannot easily loop back.
Does the Extension Road widening change where the truck stands?
It can, for homes that open onto Golf Course Extension Road. The Tribune's report of 3 May 2026 said GMDA planned an eight-lane road here, adding drainage along both edges, footpaths, LED street lights, signage and a green belt. Officials said the tender was complete, the contractor had been mobilised, ground work was due to start the following week, and a traffic management plan had been drafted.
Drains and footpaths are built along the edge of the road, which is where a moving truck would normally stand. If your Sushant Lok II block or tower gate is on the Extension Road:
- Walk to the gate two days before and see whether the service lane or the kerb is dug up
- Find a side street or a spot inside the gate where a truck can stand for several hours
- Tell us both, so the driver goes straight there
We had not seen a completion date when writing, so check the state of the road in the week of your move.
Which charges are paid to the society, not the mover?
Any shifting fee, deposit or pass charge your society levies. A NoBrokerHood guide dated 18 September 2026 found no city-wide rate in Gurgaon; it put shifting fees at roughly Rs 500 to Rs 5,000 or more where they are charged, and refundable deposits at around Rs 5,000 to Rs 25,000. It said the money usually covers lift use, guards, truck entry, the time slot and protection of common areas.
Kendriya Vihar's 2025 schedule, as noted above, has no shifting line, but a smaller society or a new tower may. Ask each office, at both ends, for the amount and refund terms in writing.

The city range is unchanged; the far building is what differs.

How can you keep a Sector 56 quote near the low end?
Remove the waiting. Seven days before:
- To do: Clear maintenance dues and get the receipt
- To do: Collect Form F-08 or your society's equivalent, list every large item, and get it signed
- To do: Ask the office which hours and which gate apply to a full move
- To do: Confirm whether your block has a lift, and its cabin size
- To do: Get any society fee and deposit terms in writing, at both ends
- To do: Check the kerb outside your gate if it faces the Extension Road
- To do: Have the truck reach your gate once 10 am has passed, and leave well before 5 pm
