For a move that stays inside Gurgaon, house shifting in Sector 55 runs from Rs 4,500 for the smallest home to Rs 15,000 for a large three-bedroom, on bands the owner fixed in October 2026, with the bedroom count setting the band. Where a home lands inside its band depends on things peculiar to this HSVP sector: the size of the plot, how many flights of stairs there are, and whether a truck can stand in a 9-metre street outside the gate.
This post covers prices, crew time and access. Homes, rents and schools are in the Sector 55 newcomer's guide, and rain and heat in the Sector 55 monsoon guide.
What are the October 2026 price bands?
The ranges come from Radhe Shyam, the firm's owner, and were last revised in October 2026; you will find identical figures listed on our Gurgaon packers and movers page. All figures are in rupees.
- Inside Gurgaon: 1 BHK from 4,500 up to 7,000; 2 BHK from 8,000 up to 12,500; 3 BHK from 12,000 up to 15,000.
- To Delhi: 1 BHK from 7,000 up to 8,000; 2 BHK from 10,000 up to 13,500; 3 BHK from 14,000 up to 16,500.
- To Noida: 1 BHK from 8,000 up to 10,000; 2 BHK from 10,000 up to 14,000; 3 BHK from 14,000 up to 18,500.
- Car or scooter: a car within 50 km, 9,000 to 11,500, or within 500 km, 12,000 to 14,500; a two-wheeler within 50 km, 3,000 to 7,000.
These are starting points. We put a figure in writing only after a survey of both homes, done on site or over video. Pages that rank for this search tend to price by distance, with undated grids for "up to 5 km" and "up to 10 km". In a plotted sector like this one, the distance hardly matters; the stairs and the street do. Our guide to Gurgaon moving charges lists the general factors behind a quote.
Why does the plot size change the load?
Because a "3 BHK" on a small plot and a "3 BHK" on a large one are not the same amount of furniture. Sector 55 was planned by HSVP (formerly HUDA) together with Sector 56, and the approved demarcation plan marks residential plots of 6, 8, 10 and 14 marla and 1 kanal, set among group-housing sites. A kanal is 20 marla, so the largest plots are more than three times the area of the smallest.
| Plot on the HSVP plan | What it usually means for a move |
|---|---|
| 6 or 8 marla | Compact floors; a narrow stair with tight turns; furniture sized to small rooms |
| 10 or 14 marla | Larger rooms and longer sofas, dining tables and wardrobes that often come apart to clear the landings |
| 1 kanal | Big floors or a whole house; servant rooms, store rooms and terraces add goods the bedroom count leaves out |
When you ask for a quote, give the plot size along with the floor. It tells us more about the load than "3 BHK" does, and it lets us send the right truck the first time.
Where do the crew's hours go in a walk-up floor?
On the stairs, mostly. Many plotted homes here have no lift, so each carton, chair and wardrobe goes down by hand, and the effort rises with each flight.
Rebuilt plots are taller. Haryana has let residential plots be built up to stilt plus four floors since July 2024, with conditions attached in some cases, The Hans India reported. In a rebuilt Sector 55 plot, a fourth-floor home sits above a stilt level, so the carry is five storeys from the street. We add crew for those floors so that no one carries too long without a break.
Small lifts help less than they seem. Some newer floors have an owner-fitted lift. The Haryana Lifts and Escalators Act, 2008 requires lifts to be registered and maintained, with a rescue device for power cuts. Even a compliant lift may have a cabin too small for a bed frame or a three-seater, so we plan the big pieces for the stairs and use the lift for cartons. Send us the cabin's inside size before the survey.
Shared entrances slow things down. With a different household on each floor, the stair and the gate are shared. The crew keeps a path clear for neighbours, which is slower than working in an empty building, and a parked car in the stilt can block the route to the gate.
Taking apart beds and wardrobes, and refitting them, is part of our household shifting service.
Will a truck fit in your street?
Look at the road widths on the same HSVP plan. Most internal roads in Sectors 55 and 56 are drawn 9 or 10 metres wide, with some 12- and 18-metre roads, 30-metre sector roads and a 60-metre road at the edge of the scheme. A 9-metre street with cars along both kerbs leaves a single lane, so a truck standing at your gate can block it for the whole loading time.
That leads to one of three set-ups:
| Street outside the gate | What happens on the day | Effect on hours |
|---|---|---|
| Room for the truck at the gate | Load directly from the door | Fewest hours |
| Room only after neighbours move cars | Ask them the evening before to keep the stretch clear | Small, if they do |
| Too tight for the truck | A smaller vehicle ferries goods to the truck on a wider road | An extra load and unload each run |
We check the street at the survey and say which case applies before we quote, not on the morning. Our page for packers and movers in Sector 55 Gurgaon explains how the crew handles the ferry run.
When should the truck run?
Between the city's curbs and away from school traffic. The Gurugram Traffic Police's Digi Pass note, on a GMDA server and undated, bars commercial goods vehicles from the roads it lists during the two rush periods, between 8 and 10 each morning and between 5 and 9 each evening. That leaves roughly 10 am to 5 pm for a truck using Golf Course Road or Golf Course Extension Road, which meet at the Sector 55/56 rotary, where DLF's signal-free road network ends. Check the curb hours before booking.
Inside the sector, Gurugram Public School is on Plot 5, Sushant Lok II, Sector 55. Streets near a school are busiest at drop-off and home time, so a truck should not be standing there then.
A two-bedroom floor in the sector, on a street where the truck can reach the gate, usually fits inside that daytime window. A top-floor 1-kanal home or a move to Delhi may need packing done the day before. If a long move runs late, the truck can be held until the evening curb lifts. For AIT Chowk, the busy junction to the north, see our Sector 56 cost guide.
What changes when one end is a society flat?
The paperwork. Square Yards' Sector 55 page names group-housing societies such as Oasis Apartments, Siddhi Vinayak Apartments, Sagavi Apartment and Ansal Royale Casa. A society usually has a lift to book and an office that issues the gate pass and sets the hours. In a society run by its own committee, find out who signs the pass, and get the hours in writing.
Some societies also charge a fee. NoBrokerHood, in a guide published on 18 September 2026, says Gurgaon has no single rate; where a society levies a shifting fee it tends to fall between Rs 500 and Rs 5,000 or higher, and a refundable deposit, if asked for, between Rs 5,000 and Rs 25,000. These are paid to the society, not to us. We found no published fee for a Sector 55 society in October 2026; ask.
Moving to a neighbouring sector?
Each of these stays in the Gurgaon band; it is the building at the far end that alters the plan.
| Other home | Our page | What to plan for there |
|---|---|---|
| Sector 56 | Sector 56 | Same HSVP scheme; Kendriya Vihar has its own forms |
| Sector 54 | Sector 54 | Tower societies with lift slots and gate passes |
| Sector 57 | Sector 57 | More builder floors; see our Sector 57 cost guide |
| Sushant Lok 2 | Sushant Lok 2 | The colony name runs across sector lines; give the plot number |
| Golf Course Road | Golf Course Road | Tall towers: book the service lift and the estate office's slot |
If the keys to the next home come later than your leaving date, our warehousing service keeps the goods in between.
What should you send us before the survey?
- To do: Both addresses, with sector, colony name and plot number
- To do: The plot size in marla or kanal, and the floor at each end
- To do: Lift or stairs, and the lift's inside cabin size if there is one
- To do: The width of your street, or a photo of it with cars parked
- To do: Any store-room, stilt or terrace goods
- To do: The society's hours, pass rules and fee, if either end is a society flat
Key takeaway
Inside Gurgaon, a Sector 55 move is banded from Rs 4,500 to Rs 15,000 by the owner's October 2026 figures. On an HSVP plot, the plot size, the number of flights and the width of the street decide where in the band you land, so send those three facts with your enquiry.
Once you have them, request a written quote. Moving a car as well? Add car transport to the same request.
Treat this page as general information rather than a quote. Its prices are indicative, revised by the owner in October 2026, and traffic hours, society rules and building regulations can change, so check them with the authority or society concerned shortly before your move.
