A house shift inside Delhi that starts or ends in Dwarka Sector 7 is priced after a survey, because Maxx Relocation publishes no price bands for Delhi-to-Delhi moves. If you are coming in from Gurgaon, our indicative October 2026 bands run from Rs 7,000 for a 1 BHK to Rs 16,500 for a 3 BHK, and the time the crew needs depends far more on stairs, lifts and the truck's parking spot than on the distance.

The sector itself, its landmarks and the gate paperwork are covered on our page for packers and movers in Dwarka Sector 7. Here we stay with the bill and the clock: what we can quote in advance, which homes eat the most hours, and the Delhi truck rules that decide when loading can begin.

What does a house shift from Dwarka Sector 7 cost?

Only part of the answer can be given before anyone sees your home. The owner of Maxx Relocation sets indicative bands for moves within Gurgaon and from Gurgaon to other cities, plus vehicle transport by distance. These are the ones that touch a Sector 7 move, as shown on our packers and movers in Delhi page:

Home (October 2026) Gurgaon to Delhi, including Dwarka Sector 7 Sector 7 to another Delhi address Sector 7 to Gurgaon
1 BHK Rs 7,000–8,000 No published band No separate band; quoted after survey
2 BHK Rs 10,000–13,500 No published band No separate band; quoted after survey
3 BHK Rs 14,000–16,500 No published band No separate band; quoted after survey
Vehicle (October 2026) Trip of up to 50 km
Car Rs 9,000 to 11,500
Bike Rs 3,000 to 7,000

So for the most common Sector 7 job, a hop to Sector 6, 10 or 12, or into Palam or Janakpuri, you get a written figure once we know three things: how much furniture and how many cartons, the floor and lift at each end, and where the truck can wait. We would rather say that plainly than print a distance chart. Several mover pages that rank for this sector show prices "up to 50 km", but almost every move inside Dwarka is a few kilometres, so distance tells you very little about the final figure.

Which Sector 7 homes take the most crew hours?

Sector 7 mixes three kinds of address, and the crew moves at a different speed in each.

Kind of home Examples in Sector 7 What eats time What saves time
Cooperative society flat 23 plots in the Dwarka Homes list, such as Rashi on Plot 3, Evergreen on Plot 9, Krishna Kunj on Plot 14 and Meghdoot on Plot 19 Finding the right block on a split plot; a lift that has to be shared with residents Booking the lift through the society office; naming the plot letter, such as 12A or 18B
DDA pocket flat Pocket 1 (SFS, Category II and III) and Pocket 2, Arunodaya (expandable EHS) Stairs in walk-up blocks; extra rooms added to an expandable flat Measuring the stairwell turns at the survey; packing the extra rooms first
House-number address on the Palam side Blocks of Palam Extension, written by block and house number Narrow approach and parked cars; a second, smaller vehicle if the truck cannot reach Telling neighbours the day before; agreeing where the truck stands

The biggest single swing is the floor. A ground-floor 2 BHK and a fourth-floor walk-up 2 BHK hold the same goods, but the second needs more hands and more hours, because every carton, bed panel and appliance is carried down by the stairs. A lift helps only if it can be held: a lift shared with residents on a busy morning can turn a quick job into a slow one.

The second swing is how full the cupboards are on the day. Packing a lived-in kitchen and wardrobes takes our team far longer than loading cartons that are already sealed, which is why the household shifting plan we send you lists what to pack early.

Where will the truck stand, and why does it change the bill?

As close to your stairwell or lift as the road and the building allow. Every metre between the truck and the door is carried on foot, both ways, so distance on the ground costs more than distance on the map.

  • Society plots. The society office decides whether a goods vehicle may come inside the gate or must wait at the plot frontage. That is a building rule, so we cover it in our Sector 7 rules and permissions guide.
  • DDA pockets. There is often no single loading bay. We look at the space between blocks during the survey and plan the carry from there.
  • Lanes near the market. Around Ramphal Chowk the road may be too tight or too crowded for a full-size truck. A smaller vehicle then makes short runs to the big one, and those extra runs are one of the few things that add hours to a short move.

When a second vehicle is likely, we say so in the quote rather than on the day.

When can the truck drive in Delhi?

This is where Delhi rules, not the building, set the clock. Four dated points matter for a Sector 7 move:

  1. No Entry Permission. To run during the city's restricted hours, a commercial goods vehicle must carry a permit issued by Delhi Traffic Police. The force's FAQ, which we read on 19 October 2026, lists an online route for long-term permits and a written application to its Todapur headquarters for short ones of up to a week. Circular No. 149, dated 31 December 2025, kept the 2025 stickers valid for vehicles already holding them until the 2026 annual permission was decided. Neither page states the restricted hours, so ask your mover whether the truck has a current permit and, if it does not, at what time it will drive.
  2. Engines on trucks from outside Delhi. A WION report of 30 September 2026 says a goods vehicle from another state has been allowed into Delhi since 1 November 2025 only if it runs on a BS-VI engine, CNG, LNG or electricity. Older BS-IV trucks were given a year's grace, which expires on 31 October 2026.
  3. The winter plan. Delhi's winter plan, as The Hindu described it on 28 September 2026, keeps out non-BS-VI commercial vehicles registered in other states for three months, November 2026 to January 2027. CNG and electric vehicles are exempt, and pumps will fuel only vehicles that hold a valid pollution certificate.
  4. The Palam crossing. On 26 November 2025, PTI reported a Delhi Traffic Police advisory closing the Palam Railway Crossing for three months from 3 November. Dwarka traffic for Delhi Cantonment and Dhaula Kuan was sent over the Palam-Dwarka Flyover, and heavy vehicles were told to avoid the Palam area and use Ring Road or NH-48. We have not found a later notice, so check whether the closure has ended before you fix the route.

For a move from Gurgaon, points 2 and 3 matter most, because the truck may carry a Haryana number. Routes and documents for that crossing are set out in our Delhi and Gurgaon moving guide.

Where do the hours go on moving day?

Our crews work from 8 am to 9 pm, Monday to Saturday, and do not work on Sundays. Inside that window, this is where a Sector 7 day usually slips and what pulls it back:

Stage Where time is lost What helps
Arrival Finding the block on a split plot or a Palam-side lane Send a landmark and a pinned location the evening before
Gate The guard waiting for the office or your call Pass the vehicle number and the names of the crew to the society office the day before
Packing Kitchen, wardrobes and the loft still full Pack books, clothes and seasonal things two days early
Carrying Stairs in a walk-up; a lift busy with residents Book the lift; clear shoes, plants and bicycles from the landing
Driving Diversions on the Palam side; restricted hours Read the traffic advisories the night before; keep a backup route
Unloading Gate and lift rules at the new building Arrange the destination as carefully as the start

What pushes the bill up in the rains or in winter?

Mostly materials and the risk of a second date. The local news site Dwarka City, on 23 July 2025, put the Sector-7 junction among Dwarka spots where water collects again and again. Between July and September we add plastic sheeting for mattresses and sofas, and we suggest naming a reserve date in the quote so that a downpour does not leave you without a plan. Should the new flat not be ready, we can hold your goods in storage at a daily charge.

In winter the risk is different: a truck that fails Delhi's entry rules cannot come in at all. Asking for the truck's emission class when you book costs nothing and removes that risk.

What changes if you move to a nearby sector?

Pricing works the same way for a short hop. What differs is the building you arrive at, so plan both addresses with equal care.

Destination Our page What to plan at the new address
Sector 6, next door Dwarka Sector 6 Cooperative society plots of its own; the lift and gate rules of the new building
Sector 10 or Sector 12 Sector 10, Sector 12 Station crowds near the Blue Line; our Dwarka branch, the office nearest Sector 7, is in Sector 12 (Shop No. 204, Kartar Nagar; PIN 110078)
Another Dwarka sector Dwarka and our Dwarka sectors guide Society plot or DDA pocket at the new end
Palam Vihar, Gurgaon Palam Vihar A state border: Gurgaon's own goods-vehicle hours apply at that end, explained in our Delhi-Gurgaon guide

What should you send us for a firm quote?

A short brief gets a firm figure faster:

  • To do: Both full addresses with plot or pocket, block, flat number and a landmark
  • To do: The floor at each end and whether a lift exists and can be booked
  • To do: Any heavy or fragile items: a double-door fridge, a glass dining top, a piano
  • To do: Which rooms you will pack yourself, if any
  • To do: A car or bike to send as well, through our car transport service
  • To do: A preferred date and, in the rains or in winter, a reserve date

With those ready, send us the details and we will set up a survey.

This post is general information. The prices are indicative ranges dated October 2026, and the traffic and road details come from the dated reports listed under Sources. Rules and road closures change, so check the current position before the day.
