House shifting in Dwarka Sector 10 has a fixed price band for one route only, a home arriving from Gurgaon, priced by the owner in October 2026 from Rs 7,000 at the bottom of the 1 BHK range to Rs 16,500 at the top of the 3 BHK one, with a 2 BHK falling between Rs 10,000 and Rs 13,500. Other routes are quoted after a survey, and how long the day runs depends on three things: a ban on goods vehicles around the sector's main market from 12:30 to 8 pm, the gates on its plot roads and, from 1 November 2026, whether Delhi lets the truck in.
The sector's court complex, its society plots and the papers an office asks for are covered by our service page for packers and movers in Dwarka Sector 10. Sector 12 houses our Delhi branch, the closest of our offices, with Sector 11 the only station between. This post keeps to money and time: what is priced, what the clock allows near the market, what the map says about the buildings, and the dated truck rules.
Which Sector 10 moves have a published price?
One route out of five. Below is what the owner fixed for October 2026, matching the Gurgaon-to-Delhi rows on our Delhi packers and movers page, laid against the moves people make into or out of Sector 10:
| Home | Gurgaon into Sector 10 | Inside Sector 10 | Another Dwarka sector | Elsewhere in Delhi | Out to Gurgaon from Sector 10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 BHK | Rs 7,000–8,000 | Survey | Survey | Survey | Survey |
| 2 BHK | Rs 10,000–13,500 | Survey | Survey | Survey | Survey |
| 3 BHK | Rs 14,000–16,500 | Survey | Survey | Survey | Survey |
| Bigger homes | Survey | Survey | Survey | Survey | Survey |
Vehicles have their own rates on that list. A car costs Rs 9,000–11,500 to move within 50 km, while a bike is Rs 3,000–7,000; the car goes through our car transport service.
The survey cells are not a dodge. On a move of a kilometre or two, fuel is a small part of the cost and labour is most of it, and labour depends on the floor, the lift, the gate and the walk to the truck. In Sector 10 it also depends on what time the truck can stand near your block, which brings in the market.
Why does the Sector 10 market change the clock?
Because the rule covers every goods vehicle, not only big trucks. The Transport Department's notification on goods vehicles, dated 3 August 2021 with an amendment of 12 August 2022, lists "Main Market Sector-10, Dwarka" alongside Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar and Mahipalpur. In and around those areas, all categories of goods vehicles are kept off the roads from 12:30 pm to 8 pm. Under the 2022 amendment, electric light goods vehicles (categories L5N and N1) stay free of these bans on the identified roads.
On OpenStreetMap, the Sector 10 Market is mapped some 0.6 km up from the middle of the sector, on its northern side, and the District Court and the metro station sit at the southern end, roughly 1 km from the market. So the sector has a busy shopping end and a busy court end, and a plot near either one needs its loading timed.
| Time on a working day | Near the market | Near the court and station |
|---|---|---|
| 8 am to 12:30 pm | Open to goods vehicles | Open; court-day traffic tends to build through the morning |
| 12:30 to 8 pm | Closed to all goods vehicles | Open, but the court frontage is no place to stand |
| After 8 pm | Open again | Open |
A start at 8 am leaves four and a half hours before the market window closes. That is tight for a three-bedroom flat with no lift, so for a plot close to the market the survey decides whether to pack the day before and load in the morning. Our office works Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 9 pm, and is closed on Sunday, so plan the move inside those days.
What does the map show about Sector 10's buildings?
Very few heights, and a great many gates. These counts come from OpenStreetMap, read for everything inside the Sector 10 boundary on data dated 29 October 2026:
| Mapped feature | Count | What it means for the crew |
|---|---|---|
| Buildings inside the boundary | 187 | Towers, school blocks, shops and the court together |
| Tagged as apartment buildings | 75 | Most society towers are drawn, few in detail |
| Buildings with a floor count | 3 | Godrej Apartments and Mass Apartment at nine storeys, Rohit Apartments at seven |
| Road segments | 242 | 150 residential streets and 68 service roads |
| Segments tagged private | 153 | The truck waits for someone to open the way |
| Gates and lift barriers | 128 | 100 gates and 28 boom barriers |
The three heights are useful but rare. Godrej Apartments, on Plot 14, is tagged with 75 flats over nine storeys; Rohit Apartments, on Plot 30, is mapped as Blocks A and B at seven. For the other plots, numbered up to 42 on the Dwarka Homes list, you will need to tell us the floor and whether the lift works. With almost two thirds of the road segments private, expect a stop at a barrier on the way in.
Where does the crew's time go in each kind of Sector 10 home?
Lifts, stairs and gate checks, much more than the drive. The pattern, by type of building:
| Home | How goods come down | Where the hours go | Settle before the day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tall society tower, seven to nine storeys | Lift | Sharing one lift with residents; long corridors on upper floors | A held lift slot and the loading point, agreed with the office |
| Lower society block on a numbered plot | Lift if fitted, otherwise stairs | Carrying by hand when there is no lift | Floor, lift, and the widest piece against the stair turn |
| Split plot such as 29A and 29B, or 40A and 40B | As above | Two offices side by side; the wrong gate costs time | Which part your flat is in, and which gate the truck uses |
| Harsh Apartment, the DDA SFS pocket (Dwarka Homes) | Ask: it varies by block | Carrying from the block entrance to the truck | Block, floor and the RWA's contact |
| A few items only | One or two trips | Little loading; mostly the wait at the gate | Exact pieces and both addresses |
Nothing changes the crew size more than the floor. Carrying a fourth-floor flat down without a lift can take a second team on the stairs, which is why we ask for the floor and the lift at both addresses first.
Where can a loaded truck stand in Sector 10?
Inside a plot gate, ideally, and never on a through road. The map tags Road 205, Road 221, Road 224 and Central Road as the main roads crossing the sector, with Colony Road and a service road inside it. A truck loading for an hour cannot sit on one of those, so the plot's internal road or forecourt is the place to aim for.
Two frontages need extra care. The court side, by the station, tends to fill with cars and autos on working days. The market end falls under the 12:30–8 pm window. If your plot opens onto either, ask the guard where a truck may stand and for how long. What happens to a goods vehicle parked in the wrong place, and the towing charges, is set out in our Sector 10 rules guide.
Which truck rules change this weekend, and which stay?
Two change as October ends. Their status on 30 October 2026, the day we last checked:
| Date | Rule | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 27 Oct 2025 | A Transport Department notice allowed BS-IV commercial goods vehicles from outside Delhi in only up to 31 October 2026; GRAP curbs still apply while a stage is in force | The Tribune, 27 Oct 2025 |
| 31 Oct 2026 | The BS-IV relaxation ends; we found no extension in searches on 30 October (check) | ETV Bharat, 27 Oct 2026, still reporting a 1 November start |
| 1 Nov 2026 – 31 Jan 2027 | Delhi's winter framework keeps out vehicles registered outside Delhi below BS-VI; CNG, electric and emergency vehicles exempt | WION Drive, 23 Oct 2026; The Hindu, 28 Sep 2026 |
| Since 21 Oct 2026 | GRAP Stage I across the NCR, invoked at an AQI of 244; no higher stage found on 30 October (check) | Akashvani, 21 Oct 2026 |
| Every day | A goods vehicle on restricted roads in restricted hours needs a No Entry Permission | Delhi Traffic Police FAQ, read 30 Oct 2026 |
For a Gurgaon-to-Sector-10 move, the questions come down to the truck's emission class, fuel and state of registration, so ask for all three at booking. WION Drive also reads the winter rule as covering private cars: a BS-IV petrol or diesel car registered in Haryana may not be allowed to drive in until February. If yours is one, price the car on a carrier alongside the goods. The permission itself is covered in our Delhi house-shifting guide.
How far are the neighbouring sectors?
Close enough that the drive rarely sets the bill. We measured each one in a straight line on OpenStreetMap, from the middle of the Sector 10 boundary to the middle of the other area, on 30 October 2026:
| Going to | Distance, straight line | Check at that end |
|---|---|---|
| Sector 9 or Sector 11 | about 0.9 km each | Their society gate and lift rules |
| Sector 6 | about 1.1 km | See our Sector 6 page |
| Sector 19 | about 1.3 km | Floors and lifts at the new block; Sector 19 page |
| Sector 7 | about 1.5 km | Sector 7 page |
| Sector 12 | about 1.9 km | Our branch's own sector; read the Sector 12 costs guide |
| Gurgaon, Sector 110 | about 9.4 km | Gurgaon's own truck hours; see moving between Delhi and Gurgaon |
A move between two plots inside Sector 10 still means two gates, two lift slots and two loading points, and if one of them is near the market, two clocks.
How can you take hours off moving day?
The saving is made in the week before, not on the day:
- To do: Give us the plot number, with the A or B where the plot is split, plus block, floor and flat at both ends
- To do: Ask both offices whether a lift can be held for loading, and for how long
- To do: If your gate is near the market, aim to finish loading before 12:30 pm, or plan to leave after 8 pm
- To do: Measure the largest wardrobe, bed and sofa against the lift door and the tightest stair turn
- To do: Ask the guard where a truck may stand inside the plot
- To do: For a truck coming from Gurgaon in November or later, get its BS class, fuel and registration in writing
- To do: If the new flat is not ready, keep a few days of storage in reserve
Rents, schools and the PIN are in our Sector 10 newcomer's guide, and the court vacations and the weather in the Sector 10 monsoon and heat guide.
Key takeaway
In Dwarka Sector 10, only a home coming from Gurgaon has an October 2026 price band; every other route is surveyed. Crew time goes on lifts, stairs and 128 mapped gates and barriers. Near the market, no goods vehicle may run from 12:30 to 8 pm, and in the winter months any truck from outside Delhi has to be BS-VI, CNG or electric.
Send us both addresses and your date, and we will reply with a figure in writing.
This page is general information and not a quote. Its rupee ranges are indicative ones the owner fixed in October 2026, the map counts come from OpenStreetMap data of 29 October 2026, and Delhi can change its vehicle rules at short notice, so check them again in the week you move.
