A house shift that stays inside Delhi, such as Dwarka Sector 6 to Sector 7, 10 or 12, gets its price after a survey, since Maxx Relocation has no published band for moves inside Delhi. Homes arriving from Gurgaon fall into the owner's October 2026 bands of Rs 7,000–8,000 for a 1 BHK, Rs 10,000–13,500 for a 2 BHK and Rs 14,000–16,500 for a 3 BHK, and the crew's hours depend mostly on your plot, your floor and where the truck can legally wait.

From 1 November 2026 there is one more factor: whether a truck registered outside Delhi meets the city's winter emission rules. Society offices, landmarks and gate paperwork are the subject of a separate page, packers and movers in Dwarka Sector 6, while settling in is covered in the Sector 6 newcomer's guide. This post sticks to price, time on the day and truck access.

What can be priced for a Sector 6 move before anyone visits?

Only the routes our owner has set bands for. Our Delhi packers and movers page lists them:

Route, October 2026 1 BHK 2 BHK 3 BHK
Gurgaon into Dwarka Sector 6 Rs 7,000–8,000 Rs 10,000–13,500 Rs 14,000–16,500
Sector 6 to another Dwarka sector or elsewhere in Delhi Survey first Survey first Survey first
Sector 6 out to Gurgaon Survey first Survey first Survey first
Vehicle carried on the same move (October 2026) Up to 50 km
Car Rs 9,000–11,500
Scooter or motorcycle Rs 3,000–7,000

Most mover pages that rank for Sector 6 print a chart by distance, often starting at "up to 50 km". For a move to the next sector that band is almost meaningless: the truck drives a couple of kilometres, and the rest of the day goes on packing, stairs and waiting. A home of four bedrooms or more has no published band on any route. That is why we ask about your goods and both buildings before we give a figure, and why the figure is written down after the survey rather than read off a chart.

How do your plot, your pocket and your floor change the crew's hours?

Sector 6 has about forty cooperative society plots and two DDA Self Financing Scheme pockets, according to the Dwarka Homes society list and its DDA pocket list, both read on 23 October 2026. Three things in that list decide how long a crew spends at your door.

Your address Example from the list Where time goes How to win it back
A lettered sub-plot 13A Diamond Square, 13B Shubh Laxmi and 13C Youngsters share Plot 13; 19A Shri Sanmati and 19B Veg Sanchar Vihar share Plot 19; Plot 39 is split into A, B and C The driver and crew reach the right plot number but the wrong society, and lose time walking between gates Give the letter and the society's name, and send a pinned location the evening before
A whole numbered plot Plot 1, Vrindavan, to Plot 40, Hahnemann Enclave Gate entry and a lift shared with residents Book the lift in writing and pass the truck number to the gate
A DDA SFS flat Pocket 1 (categories II and III) or Pocket 2 (categories I and II) Stairs, and a truck that may stand well short of your block Tell us the block, the floor and whether a lift exists, so the crew is sized before the day

The floor is the biggest single swing. Two flats with identical furniture can take very different times when the first sits at ground level and the second is four flights up with no lift, because every wardrobe panel and every carton must go down by hand. The second swing is how much is still unpacked when the crew arrives. If you are packing some rooms yourself, finish them two days ahead; our household shifting team then spends its hours on the kitchen, glassware and furniture, where skilled hands matter most.

Where can the truck wait without risking a tow?

Only somewhere it is allowed to stand. This is a cost question as much as a traffic one. The Delhi Traffic Police FAQ, read on 23 October 2026, sets these charges for a towed vehicle, on top of the fine for the offence itself:

Vehicle Towing charge Custody charge per day, after the first 48 hours
Light goods vehicle Rs 1,000 Rs 1,000
Medium or heavy goods vehicle Rs 1,500 Rs 1,500

The fee is the smaller loss. A towed truck with half your home inside means an idle crew and a day that runs into the evening. On 20 October 2026, Delhi Traffic Police's Dussehra advisory for Dwarka also told drivers to use only designated parking and avoid parking by the roadside, The News Mill reported. So at the survey we agree a standing place with you and, where needed, with your society office: inside the compound if the gate and driveway allow it, or on an inner lane where parking is permitted. If the only legal spot is some distance away, the quote says so, because a longer carry needs more hands.

Which roads around Sector 6 can slow the truck?

The sector's main roads carry more than local traffic. OpenStreetMap, with data read on 23 October 2026, maps Road No. 224, Road No. 201, Road 221 and Central Road within or along Sector 6's mapped area. Road No. 224 was one of three roads named in the 20 October 2026 Dussehra advisory, with diversions possible from 4:50 pm to 8 pm alongside UER-II and the Dwarka Expressway. That date has passed, but festivals, rallies and VIP visits bring similar short-notice orders through the year.

Congestion in the sub-city is a known problem rather than a one-off. On 10 January 2026, Akashvani reported that Minister of State Harsh Malhotra noted traffic congestion in Dwarka and asked the DDA, the municipal corporation and the public works department to explore ways to ease it. For moving day, that means two simple habits:

  • Read the Delhi Traffic Police advisories on the evening before, or call its helpline, 1095, if a festival or event is near.
  • Keep the loading for the middle of the day where you can, so the full truck is not crossing the busiest junctions in the evening.

Which Delhi truck rules apply this winter?

Four dated points decide whether, and when, a truck can work on a Sector 6 move. They matter most when the vehicle comes from Gurgaon with a Haryana registration.

From Rule What to ask your mover
All year A commercial vehicle that runs in Delhi's restricted hours must carry a No Entry Permission. The FAQ says permits for one year or three months are applied for online, and one for up to seven days by a written request to the traffic headquarters at Todapur Does the truck hold a current permit, and if not, what time will it run?
31 October 2026 The one-year grace period for BS-IV goods vehicles registered outside Delhi runs out, according to WION on 30 September 2026. We found no extension by 23 October 2026: check What emission class is the truck: BS-VI, CNG, LNG or electric?
1 November 2026 to 31 January 2027 Under the winter plan, a commercial vehicle registered in another state is refused entry unless it is BS-VI. CNG, electric, emergency and government-work vehicles are exempt, and pumps will not fuel a vehicle lacking a valid PUC certificate (The Hindu, 28 September 2026) Is the truck's pollution certificate current for the whole trip?
21 October 2026 The air-quality commission brought in Stage I of the Graded Response Action Plan after Delhi's AQI rose from 179 to 244 in a day (The Statesman, 21 October 2026). Stage II starts at an AQI of 301, Stage III at 401 and Stage IV above 450 Which stage is in force the day before, and does it touch this truck?

The table cuts both ways. A smaller Delhi-registered vehicle for a hop within Dwarka is outside the rule for trucks from other states, but it still has to keep to the restricted hours and the GRAP stage. For the longer route from Gurgaon, our Delhi and Gurgaon moving guide explains the crossing, and our Delhi house shifting guide covers the permit paperwork in more depth.

Where do the hours go on a Sector 6 moving day?

Our working days are Monday to Saturday, from 8 am until 9 pm, with Sundays closed. Within that window, these are the points where a Sector 6 job usually gains or loses time:

Stage What slows it What speeds it up
Finding you A sub-plot letter missing from the address Plot, letter, society name, tower and a pinned location
Getting in The guard has no truck number or crew list Send both to the society office, or to the residents' association if your pocket has one, the day before
Packing Full lofts, wardrobes and a working kitchen Pack books, clothes and seasonal things early
Carrying A walk-up block, or a lift shared with residents Book the lift; clear the landing of cycles and shoe racks
Waiting to drive A diversion, the restricted hours or a GRAP order Check advisories the evening before; agree a start time with the driver
Unloading The new building has its own gate and lift rules Arrange the destination as early as the starting point

What changes when you move to a nearby sector?

The pricing method stays the same for every short hop. The building at the far end is what differs, and it can be slower or quicker than yours:

Destination Our page What to plan there
Sector 7, next door Sector 7 costs and access A different set of society plots and DDA pockets, each with its own gate and lift arrangements
Sector 10 Dwarka Sector 10 Metro-station crowds at rush hour near the Blue Line
Sector 12 Dwarka Sector 12 Our Delhi branch is in Sector 12
Another Dwarka sector Dwarka and our Dwarka sectors comparison Society plot or DDA pocket at the new address
Palam Vihar, Gurgaon Palam Vihar A state border, so Gurgaon's goods-vehicle hours apply at that end

Should the new flat not be handed over in time, our storage can hold the load for a daily charge, and a car can travel with the household through our car transport service.

What should you tell us to get a written quote?

A short message gets you a written figure faster:

  • To do: Both full addresses, with plot and sub-plot letter or pocket, society name, tower or block and flat number
  • To do: The floor at each end, and whether either building has a lift you can reserve
  • To do: Where a truck can legally stand at each building, if the society office has told you
  • To do: Large or fragile items: an almirah, a piano, a marble or glass table top, a large fridge
  • To do: Rooms you will pack yourself
  • To do: A preferred date and a reserve date, since November to January is GRAP season

Key takeaway

A move from Gurgaon into Dwarka Sector 6 has published bands; anything that stays inside Delhi gets a survey first. Your sub-plot letter, your floor and a legal standing place for the truck decide the hours, and from 1 November 2026 a truck registered outside Delhi needs a BS-VI, CNG, LNG or electric engine.

With both addresses in hand, share them with us to book a survey.
