Shifting Within or Near Sector 52: Costs, Crew Hours and Access

Moving house within Sector 52, or between it and another part of Gurgaon, is priced inside the owner's indicative October 2026 bands, in which a single-bedroom flat sits at Rs 4,500–7,000, a two-bedroom home at Rs 8,000–12,500, and three bedrooms cost Rs 12,000–15,000. Where your quote lands inside its band depends on access rather than distance: a stair carry from an Ardee City floor, a lift slot in an apartment block, or a Wazirabad lane too tight for a full-size truck.

What are the price ranges for a move in or near Sector 52?

Which Sector 52 home are you leaving, and how does it change the hours?

Sector 52 mixes four kinds of home within a short walk, and each one sets a different pace for the crew. Wikipedia places the sector, along with Ardee City, on land of the old village of Wazirabad, and NoBroker's locality page describes Ardee City as a gated township holding apartments, builder floors and plots.

For the apartment blocks, Square Yards lists Palm Grove Heights inside the colony as a nine-tower project of three-bedroom flats. A three-bedroom flat in a tower is usually a lift job, so the slot the office gives you decides the start time, and the crew size is matched to it. A three-bedroom builder floor of the same size can take longer, because every carton travels down the stairs.

Where does the truck stand in Ardee City and on the Wazirabad side?

On the lane nearest your gate, at a spot agreed before the day, not on Sohna Road. Inside Ardee City the truck waits in the block's lane, so neighbours' cars and the width of the road decide how close it can get. Ask the residents' welfare association whether a vehicle may stand there for several hours, and tell the households either side of you the evening before.

Drivers find their way in from known reference points. Mappls lists Ardee Mall in Block B of the colony, so the crew can meet there and then move the truck away from the mall frontage to your block.

On the Wazirabad side, the lanes grew house by house rather than to one layout. If the survey shows that a full-size truck cannot reach the door, a smaller vehicle makes short runs from the house to the main truck, which waits where the road opens out. That costs a second vehicle and some extra handling, so it is priced into the quote from the start rather than discovered on the morning.

Who do you need to tell before the move?

Ardee City has had an active residents' association for years. In May 2019 The Tribune described the association asking DHBVN, the power distributor, to supply residents directly, and in January 2025 it reported the municipal commissioner ordering repairs after the RWA complained. We have not found move rules that the association publishes, so ask it directly and get the answers in writing:

• To do: Whether a gate pass is needed for the truck, and how many days ahead
• To do: Whether proof of paid-up maintenance must be shown at the gate
• To do: For tenants, whether the owner must confirm the move to the guard
• To do: For a tower flat, the service lift, the booking window and any refundable deposit
• To do: Who takes the final meter reading: the estate office or DHBVN
• To do: How long the truck may stand in the lane, and on which side

What can slow the drive out of Sector 52?

Three road matters, each worth checking in the week of the move rather than assuming:

1. The Sectors 51–52 dividing road. GMDA plans to rebuild it as a model road with drains, footpaths and a green belt, The Tribune said on 4 May 2026, with six months allowed once a contractor is in place. We have not found a later report on when work began or how far it has got, so check which lanes are open before you fix the slot.
2. Ambedkar Chowk. GMDA tendered a four-lane flyover at the junction linking Ardee City with Sohna Road, The Tribune reported on 8 May 2026. Once building starts, expect diversions there.
3. The SPR at Wazirabad in the rains. The Tribune's list of repeat waterlogging spots, published on 27 August 2025, included this stretch. For a July to September move headed towards the higher-numbered sectors, keep a second date in mind.

The clock matters as much as the route. A Gurugram Traffic Police note on GMDA's website, which carries no date and which we read in October 2026, gives no-entry hours for commercial vehicles on designated areas of 8–10 am and 5–9 pm. In a reply on X dated 24 January 2020, the same force said heavy vehicles faced a later evening cut-off on Mondays and Fridays. Both may have changed since, so check the current position for your vehicle size before the day.

What keeps the crew's hours, and the quote, down?

Cut the hours the crew spends waiting or carrying. The steps below help most in Sector 52:

• Pack books, clothes and kitchen items yourself a few days ahead, or book packing for the day before, so loading starts the moment the truck arrives.
• Clear the stair and the gate. On a builder floor, a free stairwell and an empty space by the gate save more time than anything else.
• Book the earliest lift slot if you live in a tower, and send us its number and window.
• Settle the shuttle question at the survey, not on the day, if your house is on a village lane.
• Avoid the hours when trucks are restricted and the office-hour peaks at Ambedkar Chowk.
• Name heavy pieces early. A stone-top table, a double-door fridge or an inverter battery needs extra hands, and knowing about it sets the crew size correctly.

Should the keys to the new home come late, the load can be held in our storage for household goods meanwhile.

What changes for a short hop to a neighbouring sector?

Every move inside Gurgaon uses the same bands, but the access at the far end can be very different from your own. The nearest of our branches is at South City II, Sector 49.

For a small flat going next door, packing, the drive and unpacking can usually fit into a single day. A whole house, or a move with a lift booking at both ends, is better packed the day before.
