Moving to Sector 52: A Newcomer's Guide for Families and Renters

Moving to Sector 52 usually means moving into Ardee City, a developer colony of plots, builder floors and apartment towers, or into a house on land belonging to the old village of Wazirabad. In your first week, the things that matter most are which of the two you live in, how you reach the metro and Sohna Road, and where the nearest hospitals and markets are; this guide covers each in turn.

What kinds of homes will you find in Sector 52?

You will find three kinds: plotted houses and builder floors in Ardee City, apartments in its tower blocks, and village houses in Wazirabad. Wikipedia's article on Wazirabad describes a village on the Gurgaon–Faridabad road whose land covers Sectors 52, 52A, 53, 56 and 57 as well as Ardee City, spread over municipal wards 30, 31 and 33. Property listings on Square Yards place Ardee City in Sector 52 and show plots, builder floors and flats for sale there, and NoBroker's locality page refers to its A, B, C and D blocks.

The best-known apartment block inside the colony is Palm Grove Heights. Square Yards lists it as a nine-tower Ardee Infrastructure project on 11 acres, with 316 three-bedroom flats of 1,850 to 2,350 sq ft and possession from April 2014. Treat listing-portal figures as a guide, not a survey.

Who looks after Ardee City's roads, sewers and power?

The answer is mixed, so learn it early. A 2019 Tribune report on power cuts called Ardee City a developer colony and said its residents' welfare association had gone to the power distributor DHBVN for a direct connection at the residents' own cost, with residents putting up Rs 7 crore while the developer owed Rs 21 crore. Civic work involves the city too: in January 2025, The Tribune reported that Municipal Corporation of Gurugram commissioner Ashok Kumar Garg told officials to clean and repair the sewer lines, start road repairs and assign sweepers regularly, after the RWA's president and general secretary raised overflowing sewers, poor roads and irregular garbage pickup.

For a newcomer, that history points to three practical steps:

• Meet the RWA in week one. Ask which complaints go to the RWA, which to the municipal corporation and which to DHBVN, and how residents are kept informed.
• Ask about the electricity account. Find out whether your meter is billed by DHBVN directly and whether the building has backup power, and at what extra charge.
• Keep the PIN to hand. Wikipedia lists 122003 for Wazirabad. Confirm it from your rent agreement or sale deed before changing addresses with banks and delivery apps.

Which roads and junctions will you use every day?

Two road projects shape daily trips from Sector 52. The first is the dividing road between Sectors 51 and 52. In May 2026 The Tribune said GMDA would rebuild it as the city's first waterlogging-free model road, at about Rs 9 crore, with drains along both edges, footpaths, a green median and LED lights, to be finished within six months of the contract being awarded. The report links it to residents of Wazirabad, Kanahi village and the high-rise societies of both sectors, and lists the reasons: potholes, accidents, dust, peak-hour jams and monsoon flooding.

The second is Ambedkar Chowk, where Sectors 45, 46, 51 and 52 meet. GMDA tendered a flyover there in May 2026: four lanes, 900 metres long and Rs 32 crore, with four-lane service roads, due within two years of construction starting. The Tribune describes the chowk as the dispersal point between Ardee City, Sohna Road and the dense sectors around them, and notes heavy congestion at office hours. Until the flyover is built, leave extra time for school runs and commutes through it.

Rain is the other factor. In August 2025 The Tribune's list of repeat waterlogging spots included the SPR–Wazirabad stretch and Sector 51, so in July to September check the route before setting out.

How do you get to the metro from Sector 52?

By road, since no metro line runs through the sector yet. NoBroker's locality page gives Millennium City Centre as the nearest station, about 3.2 km away; it is the southern end of the Delhi Metro's Yellow Line, whose five Gurugram stations opened on 21 June 2010. For Golf Course Road and Cyber City, the Rapid Metro's Sector 53-54 station, opened in April 2017, is the other choice.

A closer line is on the way. Wikipedia's Gurugram Metro article lists the first stations of Line 2 as Millennium City Centre, Sector 45, Cyber Park, Sector 47 and Subhash Chowk, says civil work began in November 2025, and gives 2028 as the expected opening of Phase 1. Until then, plan on an auto or cab to the station, and check how far your office is from either line before you sign a lease.

Where are the nearest hospitals?

The two hospitals most newcomers note down are both in Sector 51, next door. Artemis Hospital gives its address as Sector 51, Gurugram, and publishes a 24-hour emergency number on its contact page. Wikipedia says it opened in 2007, has 600 beds, and in 2013 became the first hospital in Gurgaon to gain Joint Commission International accreditation. CK Birla Hospital lists its Gurgaon address as Block J, Mayfield Garden, Sector 51.

Save both emergency numbers in every family member's phone on the first evening, and find out which one your health insurer has a cashless arrangement with before you need it.

Which schools and markets matter in the first week?

For schools, start with what you can verify. Wikipedia's list of educational institutions in Gurgaon includes Delhi Public School, Sector 45, on the other side of Ambedkar Chowk. Portals name many more schools around Ardee City, but their lists disagree, so visit or call any school you are considering and ask about mid-session transfers, transport routes into Ardee City and the documents a transfer needs. Bring the old school's transfer certificate and report cards with you rather than packing them in a carton.

For shopping, NoBroker names Ardee Mall as the closest mall and lists High Street 52 Market, South Point Mall and Central Plaza Mall among the shopping areas nearby. In practice, the first week's needs are small: a grocer who delivers, a chemist, a hardware shop for curtain rods and plugs, and a place to recharge a gas cylinder or set up a new connection.

What should renters and families settle before moving in?

Settle the paperwork with the landlord and the RWA before the truck arrives, because a builder floor shares its entrance and stairs with other households. Use this checklist:

• To do: Rent agreement signed, with the PIN, block and house number exactly as on the gate
• To do: Written list of fittings that stay (geysers, fans, light fittings, wardrobes) and their condition, with photos
• To do: Electricity meter reading on the day you get the keys, and who pays backup power charges
• To do: RWA rules on moving hours, truck parking and any entry pass, asked for in writing
• To do: Parking: which space is yours, and whether a moving truck can stand in the lane for a few hours
• To do: School documents, medical files and ID papers packed in a bag you carry yourself
• To do: Emergency numbers for Artemis and CK Birla hospitals saved on every phone

How does moving day work in Sector 52?

It depends on the home type and how close a truck can get to it. A builder floor means stairs and a truck in the street; a tower flat means a lift booking; a village house may need a smaller vehicle to bring goods out to where the main truck can stand.
