Moving to DLF Phase 5 nearly always means moving into a flat in a gated condominium on or near Golf Course Road: DLF's compliance report counts 4,175 main apartments across Sectors 42, 43, 53 and 54, in named towers such as The Crest, Park Place, Belaire and The Aralias. The first week is easier than in most of Gurgaon, because the phase has three Rapid Metro stations, two schools with addresses inside it and a hospital in Sector 53, with larger hospitals one sector away.

Which homes can you rent or buy here?
Almost certainly an apartment in a tower with its own gate, lifts and facility office. DLF's six-monthly compliance report for the phase covers 463 acres and names condominiums including Westend Heights, Royalton, Pinnacle, Icon, Summit, Magnolias, Belaire, Park Place and The Aralias. A few homes are low-rise: DLF's luxury homes page lists The Grove in Sector 54 as 4 and 5 BHK floors.
The societies differ a great deal in height and size:

Prices on Square Yards' Phase V page run from that Princeton Estate figure to almost Rs 13 crore at The Summit, so a family renting a smaller flat and one buying a large 4 BHK may both say they live in "Phase 5". The same DLF report counts 360 units for service staff and 378 for economically weaker sections; ask whether your flat comes with one of them.
Expect building work nearby for years. Wikipedia's Gurgaon list shows DLF Dahlias (eight towers of 28 floors) under construction in Sector 54, Godrej Sora and Tulip Monsella in Sector 53, and Experion's The Trillion in Sector 42, with completion dates running to 2032. If you work from home, ask which way your flat faces before signing.
How should you write your address?
By tower, zone and sector, not by "Golf Course Road" alone. Phase 5 is large enough that a courier or ambulance needs more than the phase name.
- Tower and society first. The society name and tower number tell a driver far more than "DLF Phase 5".
- Zone and sector next. In DLF's compliance report, Belaire sits in Zone 8 (Sector 54) and The Aralias in Zone 4 (Sector 42), while a separate DLF clearance file places The Crest in Zone 10 of Sector 54.
- The PIN code. Square Yards gives 122009 for Phase 5, and DLF's report uses it for The Aralias. Sector 43 addresses, such as the hospital and school below, use 122002. Copy the PIN from your lease when you update your bank, Aadhaar and gas connection.
How does the Rapid Metro serve the phase?
Well, if your office is on the same line or the Yellow Line. Wikipedia's Rapid Metro article lists three stations inside the phase:
- Sector 42-43, opened on 25 April 2017, for the Camellias and Aralias side
- Sector 53-54, opened on the same day, for Sectors 53 and 54
- Sector 54 Chowk, opened on 31 March 2017, for the southern towers
North of the phase, the line runs through DLF Phase 1 station to Sikanderpur, where a 90-metre walkway joins Delhi Metro's Yellow Line for Delhi and the rest of Gurgaon. Trains run from 06:05 to 22:00 every four minutes. A trip within one Rapid Metro phase costs ₹20, and crossing from one phase to the other costs ₹35. Since 2024 the line has been run by Gurugram Metro, so you may see either name.
For the car, the main thing to know is the stretch south of Sector 54 Chowk. After 117 mm of rain on 6 August 2026, India.com reported that traffic between Sector 54 Chowk and Ghata was still affected the next morning. If your school run or office trip uses that section, keep a metro plan for monsoon mornings.
Which schools are inside or next to the phase?
Three schools publish addresses in Phase 5's sectors, which keeps the school run short:

Suncity's primary school is in Sector 45, not in Phase 5, so a family with a young child and an older one may face two drop-offs. Seats, fees and boards change every session; confirm them with each school before you sign a lease on the strength of a short walk.
Before the move, settle these with the school:
- To do: A written seat confirmation for the class, especially for a mid-year join
- To do: The transfer certificate from the old school
- To do: Whether the school bus enters your society or stops at the main gate
- To do: The morning and afternoon gate times, so the moving truck avoids the school road
Where are the nearest hospitals?
There is one inside the phase and three large ones close by. The district administration's hospital list gives Alchemist Hospital's address as Sector 53, Fortis Hospital's as Sector 44, opposite HUDA City Centre, and Artemis Hospital's as Sector 51.
Paras Health, at C-1, Sushant Lok 1, Sector 43, describes itself as a 300-bed, 24-hour hospital with ICU, trauma and emergency care, and publishes a 24x7 emergency line, 9091790917. Square Yards also names Sitaram Bhartia and Arihant Hospital among the hospitals near the phase.
Tip
Save the Paras emergency number and your tower, zone and sector in every family phone on the first day. Tell your society's security desk too: ambulances usually come to the main gate first.
Where will you shop in the first week?
In the malls on Golf Course Road and the open market in the next phase. Square Yards places DLF South Point Mall on Golf Course Road in Sector 53. Its Phase V page also lists Central Plaza, Gurgaon Central, MGF Metropolitan, Raheja Mall and Ambience Mall among nearby malls.

Keep one box for the first evening in the car with you, not on the truck: sheets, phone chargers, any daily medicines, a kettle, and the uniforms and books for the next school day.
What should a renter sort out in week one?
Four things, most of them through the facility office:
- Police verification. Haryana Police lists tenant verification as an online service with a fee of Rs 50, which the owner or the tenant may file. Run the same check on a cook, driver or housekeeper before they start.
- Access cards and parking. Ask how many cards and parking slots come with the flat, and whether a visitor's car needs to be registered.
- Staff quarters. If your flat comes with a servant room or a unit in the staff block, get its key and its meter reading in the lease.
- Meter readings and maintenance. Write the electricity and power-backup readings into the rent agreement, and find out who pays the monthly maintenance, you or the owner.
What should you tell the movers?
The tower, the zone, the lift and the loading point. A Phase 5 move is decided inside the building: measure the service lift's door and depth against your longest sofa and wardrobe, and ask the facility office where the truck should stand.
