Moving to DLF Phase 2 usually means renting a builder floor or a single room on one of Sector 25's plotted streets, or a flat in one of the few apartment blocks beside Cyber City. Your first week turns on a handful of things: the right PIN on your papers, the Rapid Metro station where Line 1 begins, two CBSE schools with addresses in the phase, and a short list of tasks every renter should finish before the cartons are unpacked.

What kind of home will you find in DLF Phase 2?
Mostly floors in privately owned houses. When we read Square Yards' rental page on 26 October 2026, it showed 621 listings for the phase, last updated two days earlier. Builder floors were the largest group, at more than 304, ahead of more than 268 apartments. Whole houses and villas were rare (7-plus and 9-plus), and over 30 listings were office spaces.

The Square Yards one-room page is worth a look before you hunt. One of its sample rooms, at 180 sq ft, was on the fourth floor of a four-floor building. A room at that height with no lift changes both your daily climb and the cost of carrying a bed up. Ask what the deposit and any monthly maintenance charge will be, too, so you budget for more than the first month's rent on the day you sign. The rent figures in the table come from NoBroker, which dates them to July 2026.
Which PIN code goes on your address?
The one in your lease, because three codes circulate here. When we queried India Post's data through the postal PIN code API on 26 October 2026, 122008 came back with one office, "DLF Ph-II", a sub post office that delivers. The same directory for 122002 holds the DLF QE office, along with branch offices at Chakkarpur and Nathupur.
In practice, you will see all three:
- 122008 is the PIN of the Phase II post office itself.
- 122002 is the code NoBroker gives for the locality, and the one Medanta and American Montessori Public School print.
- 122001 is what CBSE's record shows for Sherwood Convent School.
Old documents may also call the colony "DLF Qutab Enclave". That is how the CBSE record writes Sherwood's address, "DLF Qutab Enclave Phase II", so don't be surprised to see it on an owner's sale papers. Pick one form of the address, with block letter, house number, floor, "DLF Phase 2, Sector 25, Gurugram" and the PIN from the lease. Then use exactly that line for the bank, gas booking, Aadhaar and delivery apps.
How do you get to work from Phase 2?
Often by Rapid Metro, and the station here has an advantage the other phases lack. According to Wikipedia, Phase 2 station opened on 14 November 2013, and its two platforms point different ways: one serves trains heading to Sector 55–56 on Golf Course Road, the other trains running round the Cyber City loop towards Phase 3. The Rapid Metro article names Phase 2 as one terminus of Line 1, so a Golf Course Road commute can be a single ride with no change.
A few working details for the first week:
- Hours. Trains start at 06:05 and stop at 22:00, every four minutes. A late shift ends by cab or auto.
- Yellow Line. Change at Sikanderpur, one stop away, for Delhi and HUDA City Centre.
- Walking distance. NoBroker puts the Phase 2 station about 600 m from the locality and Sikanderpur about 1.2 km.
By road, NoBroker lists NH-48 and MG Road as the main links, and its residents name two weak spots: traffic near Shankar Chowk and NH-48 at office hours, and service roads that collect water in heavy rain. Our DLF Phase 2 monsoon and heat guide covers the rainy weeks in detail.
Which schools have an address in the phase?
Two, if you go by CBSE's own affiliation register rather than portal lists, which often name schools several sectors away:

Both entries were read on 26 October 2026. Fees and seat availability are not in these records, so check them with the school itself.
Before you fix the moving date around a school:
- To do: Get the admission confirmed in writing for the right class
- To do: Carry the leaving certificate and the latest marks sheet with you, not in a carton
- To do: Ask whether a school van serves your block, and at what time
- To do: Keep the truck off the school's road at opening and closing time
Where do you go when someone falls ill?
For everyday care, Cyber City is next door. Medanta's page places its outpatient Mediclinic at Building 10C, DLF Cyber City, DLF Phase 2, and gives its hours as 8 am to 9 pm, Monday to Saturday. That covers a consultation or a test on a working day, but not an emergency at night. NoBroker's list of health care "near" the phase runs to bigger hospitals in other sectors; on your first evening, ask the owner or a neighbour which emergency department they actually use, and save its number.
Tip
Write your full address, with house number, floor, block and PIN, on a card by the door. A taxi or ambulance driver looking for one house among similar plotted streets needs the house number first, not "near Cyber City".
Where do you shop and eat?
Close by, and often on foot. NoBroker names Central Arcade first among the phase's shopping places, and lists Cyber Hub, Ambience Mall and MGF Metropolitan among the larger places nearby. For the first night, keep one bag with you in the car or cab, holding sheets, phone chargers, daily medicines, towels, a kettle and, in a single room, a padlock.
What should a renter finish in the first week?
Five things, most of them with your owner:
- The building's status. Before paying a deposit, ask the owner to confirm in writing that no town-planning notice is pending against the house. The 2026 enforcement drives in the DLF phases, and what they mean for a move, are set out in our DLF Phase 2 rules guide.
- Police verification. Gurugram Police asks for its tenant verification form to be filled in and handed to the police station for the area, with the documents it lists. Agree with the owner who does it, and keep a copy.
- Deposit and charges. Write the deposit, the maintenance charge and the refund terms into the agreement, and photograph every room on move-in day.
- Parking. NoBroker's residents score parking lowest of all twelve categories, at 3.6 out of 5. If you bring a car or a scooter, agree where it goes before it arrives.
- Meters. Note the electricity and backup readings in the agreement, so the first bill is not a dispute.
What should you tell the movers?
What each building is like. A fourth-floor room reached by stairs, a builder floor with a small lift and a flat in a block with a service lift need different crews and vehicles. Our DLF Phase 2 page explains how we plan around the office-hour traffic beside Cyber City.
