DLF City's five phases call for three different kinds of move: plotted houses and builder floors in Phases 1 to 3, which DLF's own floor papers place in Sectors 24 to 27; a mix of floors, PG lanes and gated societies in Phase 4 (Sectors 27 and 28); and tall condominium towers in Phase 5, which DLF's compliance report puts in Sectors 42, 43, 53 and 54. Plan for rain as well: after 115 mm in 33 hours in July 2026, all five DLF phases were on The Tribune's list of 20 places where water stood.
Which sectors are DLF Phases 1 to 5 and Cyber City?
Sector numbers and phase names overlap, so it helps to have both on the booking. On DLF's application form for independent floors, Phases I to III appear together as a single colony of plots in Sectors 24, 25 and 26; a separate DLF sale agreement for Phase I and III floors adds Sector 27 to that list. Phase 5 is the clearest: the six-monthly compliance report is titled for Sectors 42, 43, 53 and 54.
| Area | Sectors | Main housing | Rapid Metro station (opened) | What shapes the move |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DLF Phase 1 | 26 and 27 | Independent houses and builder floors | DLF Phase 1 (March 2017) | Stairs, lane parking, heavy older furniture |
| DLF Phase 2 | 25 | Plotted houses and builder floors, next to the office district | DLF Phase 2 (November 2013) | Office-hour traffic on NH-48 |
| DLF Phase 3 | 24 | Rental floors, PG rooms and small flats in lettered blocks | DLF Phase 3 (November 2013) | Narrow inner lanes; light vehicles |
| DLF Phase 4 | 27 and 28 | Plotted floors; Hamilton Court, Ridgewood Estate and other gated societies; Chakkarpur village | None of its own | Galleria Market traffic; low ground near Chakkarpur |
| DLF Phase 5 | 42, 43, 53 and 54 | Condominium towers, with low-rise floors at The Grove | Sector 42-43 and 53-54 (April 2017), Sector 54 Chowk (March 2017) | Lift bookings, gate passes, move windows |
| Cyber City | Beside Phases 2 and 3, on NH-48 | Office towers | Cyber City (May 2014) | Facility-run loading points and permits |
| Udyog Vihar | Sector 18 and Phases I–VI, across NH-48 | Industrial and office plots | None yet; metro under construction | Plot gates, shifts, stock |
Station dates are from Wikipedia's Rapid Metro article, which lists 11 stations on a 12.85 km line running from 06:05 to 22:00. Phase 2 is confirmed as Sector 25 by DLF's page for its DLF Square office tower, and a DLF environmental filing locates its newest Phase 4 housing on Chakkarpur village land in Sector 28.
Plotted house, builder floor or tower: how does the move differ?
The building type decides the crew, the vehicle and the paperwork far more than the distance does. Most moves in the DLF phases fall into one of three types.
| Plotted house (Phases 1–4) | Builder floor (Phases 1–4) | Condominium tower (Phase 5) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Getting goods down | Several floors, often with a storeroom and terrace | One shared staircase, rarely a lift big enough for a sofa | Service lift, booked in advance |
| Where the truck stands | On the lane at the gate | On the lane, often between parked cars | At a loading point the facility team names |
| Paperwork | Usually a word with the block guard | Neighbours and the block's RWA guard | Move request, gate pass, sometimes a deposit and an owner's letter for tenants |
| Typical risk | Volume: decades of furniture | Tight landings and turns | Running past the permitted move window |
| What we do | Survey the whole house first | Dismantle upstairs, measure the tightest landing | Pack the day before so loading fits the window |
Phase 5 is a place of large towers. DLF's filings list buildings such as Westend Heights, Pinnacle, Icon and Summit beside bigger condominiums, and split the phase into numbered zones: Belaire is in Zone 8 (Sector 54), The Aralias in Zone 4 (Sector 42). A separate DLF file puts The Crest in Zone 10 of Sector 54, and MyGate's guide to Golf Course Road counts 1,508 units in DLF Park Place. In a complex that size, give us the tower, zone and sector together, so the truck goes to the right gate first time.
A house that has been lived in for years needs the opposite approach. The volume, not the route, decides the day: solid wood beds, steel almirahs, books, a puja room and a crowded storeroom. If you are moving from a house to a smaller flat, part of the load can go into storage for household goods while you decide what fits.
What is moving through DLF Phase 3's V Block lanes like?
Phase 3 lanes are built for cars, not trucks. NoBroker lists Phase 3 as Sector 24 and names blocks including S, U and V. Many buildings hold several floors of rented rooms, and a full-size truck can block a lane for every neighbour.
Our branch is in V Block itself, at Shop No. 0398, so we know which lanes a vehicle can turn in. For a room or a 1 BHK, a light vehicle comes to the door. For a bigger load, it runs back and forth to a full-size truck parked where the lane opens out. Flatmates leaving on the same day get separate labels, and their goods can go to different addresses.
The same density affects the drains. The Tribune's July 2026 report said more than 4,500 property violations had been found across the DLF phases, with illegal PG rooms sealed and unauthorised building in stilt parking areas demolished. On a wet morning in Phase 3, expect water in the lanes.
How do Cyber City and Udyog Vihar moves work?
Both sit beside NH-48, on opposite sides of it, but one is a campus of office towers and the other is an estate of separate plots.
Cyber City
Wikipedia dates DLF Cyber City to 2003 and lists Gateway Tower, DLF's headquarters, the Cyber Greens blocks and Epitome, with Cyber Hub opening in 2013. Moves here are office moves run through the building's facility desk: the truck goes where it is sent, at a booked time, and every company in the building draws on the same goods lift. That pushes most moves to evenings and Saturdays. Some Cyber City floors are SEZ space and some are not, according to DLF's leasing page; assets leaving an SEZ unit need your compliance team's clearance first. Our office relocation service plans the job backwards from the building's slot.
Udyog Vihar and Sector 18
HSIIDC's estate profile starts its Udyog Vihar table with the 1970 Sector 18 estate, then Phase I in 1976, Phase II in 1979, Phase III in 1982 and Phase VI in 1999, with a Sector 34-35 block from 2005. By HSIIDC's description, most of what the estate produces falls under IT and ITES, garments or auto components. Wikipedia counts more than 1,200 industrial and commercial units, eight kilometres from IGI Airport.
Each plot has its own gate, so a truck can often back in rather than wait on the estate road. A working unit rarely stops for a whole day, so stores and the front office go first and the production floor last. Rail access is coming: the Gurugram Metro line from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City, under construction since November 2025, includes stations named Udyog Vihar Phase 4, 5 and 6.
Where does it waterlog, and when should you avoid moving?
Avoid fixing a monsoon move for the morning after heavy rain in the DLF phases or Udyog Vihar. Three reports from July 2026 show where the water collects:
- 11 July: after 115 mm in 33 hours, The Tribune listed DLF Phases 1 to 5, Sushant Lok and the NH-8 corridor among 20 hotspots.
- 7 July: in the season's first heavy rain, The Tribune reported waterlogging at Udyog Vihar and IFFCO Chowk, among other places.
- 28 July: GMDA said its list of vulnerable spots had fallen from about 90 to six, and one of the six was Sector 28 near Chakkarpur, in Phase 4.
Tip
On a monsoon move, keep a spare half-day in the plan, ask the crew to park the truck on whichever side of the road stays drier, and have mattresses and sofas stretch-wrapped before they leave the room.
What does a move from the DLF phases cost?
Most moves from here stay in Gurgaon or go to South Delhi, a short drive up MG Road. The owner set these indicative ranges in October 2026; they also appear on our Gurgaon packers and movers page:
| Destination | 1 BHK | 2 BHK | 3 BHK |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elsewhere in Gurgaon | ₹4,500–7,000 | ₹8,000–12,500 | ₹12,000–15,000 |
| Delhi, e.g. Saket or Vasant Kunj | ₹7,000–8,000 | ₹10,000–13,500 | ₹14,000–16,500 |
A Delhi leg also has to fit the city's limits on goods vehicles: a commercial goods vehicle running in restricted hours needs a No Entry Permission from Delhi Traffic Police, so the drive is timed to avoid them. Larger plotted houses and office moves are quoted after a survey, and our household shifting page explains what the home service includes.
Key takeaway
In DLF City, say which phase, sector and building type you are leaving: a Phase 1 house, a Phase 3 floor and a Phase 5 tower need different crews and vehicles. In the monsoon, keep a margin for waterlogged lanes, especially near Chakkarpur.
What you have read is general information drawn from the sources listed, not a rulebook. Ask your society, the building's facility team or the authority named for the current position before you rely on any of it.
