Hardly anything about moving on Golf Course Road is published: as of October 2026 we found no moving rules online for the condominiums or office towers along it. What binds you is your tower's bye-laws, as the estate office applies them, together with the traffic police's hours for trucks and a few dated advisories, so ask the estate office for its rules in writing before you fix the day.

This post sets out which rules are written down, who stands behind the unwritten ones, and which dates and hours to plan around. How the service lift, the loading bay and the gate pass work in practice is in our Golf Course Road high-rise guide, and our Golf Course Road page describes how we plan office and home moves on the road.

What is actually published for a Golf Course Road move?

Five kinds of rule can touch a move here. Only some of them exist in a form you can read:

Rule Published? What it says Check before relying on it
State law on apartments Yes, the Haryana Apartment Ownership Act, 1983 Bye-laws govern the common areas and bind owners and tenants Your tower's own bye-laws under it
Your tower's moving rules Not online for the towers we searched Hours, lift booking, fees, deposits, gate pass Ask the estate office for them in writing
City hours for goods vehicles An undated traffic police note Goods vehicles barred from designated roads at 8–10 am and again at 5–9 pm Confirm with the traffic police
One-off closures and event curbs Advisories, dated Night closures on the road; truck curbs before national days Look for an advisory in the week of the move
Entry into Delhi Transport department notice, reported BS-IV allowance for outside goods vehicles ends 31 October 2026 Ask the truck's emission norm

The gap is the second row, and it is the one that decides your day. The sections below fill in the others and show how to get the second one on paper.

Who writes the rules in your tower?

Your tower's association, through its bye-laws. The Haryana Apartment Ownership Act says the administration of every property it covers is governed by bye-laws, and that these must deal with the use of the common areas and the restrictions that stop residents from interfering with each other's use of them. Lifts, lobbies, driveways and gates are all common areas, so moving hours and lift bookings come from this power. Section 7 makes compliance with the bye-laws a duty of every apartment owner, and section 24 extends the Act and the bye-laws to tenants, their staff and every other user of the property. A renter is therefore bound by the same moving procedure as an owner.

Which body holds that power is less clear in Gurugram than it should be. ThePrint reported on 18 August 2026 that people often use "RWA" and "AOA" as if they were the same thing. In fact an association of apartment owners is tied to ownership under the 1983 Act, while an RWA is normally a separate society registered under the state's societies law. For a move, the practical question is simple: which office signs the permission and which one the guards obey. Ask the estate office, and make sure the reply comes on that body's letterhead or from its official email.

If you think a moving rule is unfair, a registered society answers to the District Registrar, Firms and Societies, in Gurugram. Do not count on that route for a dated move. A lawyer quoted by ThePrint on 15 May 2026 said a case can take nearly two years to travel from the district office to the state registrar. A written objection to the managing committee, asking for a written decision, is the faster lever.

Which Golf Course Road towers did we check?

The road passes the four sectors that DLF's compliance report assigns to DLF City Phase V, numbered 42, 43, 53 and 54, before it reaches Sectors 55 and 56. We searched for moving rules from these buildings on 15 October 2026:

Building Where, per the source Moving rules online? Where to start
DLF Camellias Sector 42 (Wikipedia) None found Estate office
The Magnolias, The Aralias, Belaire, Park Place Named in DLF's Phase V report None found Estate office
The Crest Sector 54 (DLF filing) None found Our Sector 54 rules post
Summit Sector 54 Yes, bye-laws The same Sector 54 post sets them out
Vipul Belmonte, Parsvnath Exotica Sector 53 None found Our Sector 53 rules post
One and Two Horizon Center (offices) Sector 43 (Wikipedia) None found Facility management

"None found" means none on the open web. The rules still exist; they live in the estate office, on notice boards and in residents' groups, and they can change without notice. Moving companies' websites quote standard tower hours and vehicle-height limits for this road, but we could not trace those figures to any society, so we do not repeat them. Your tower's written answer is the only figure worth planning around.

An office move on the road follows the same logic with a different owner of the rules: the building's facility management, under the lease. Our Cyber City rules post goes through the moving clauses in DLF's published leases, which is a fair guide to the questions to ask.

When may the truck run on Golf Course Road?

There are four clocks, and the truck has to fit all of them.

The daily no-entry hours. The traffic police's explainer for its Vehicle Movement Digi Pass, hosted by GMDA, keeps commercial vehicles off designated roads for two hours each morning, 8 am to 10 am, and four hours each evening, 5 pm to 9 pm. Its permits are aimed at essential services such as healthcare and food supply, not household moves. The note carries no date, so treat the hours as a working assumption and confirm them with the traffic police.

Night closures on the road itself. The road's underpasses are sometimes shut for work. According to Gurugram News Network, the traffic police closed the Genpact underpass to all vehicles from 11 pm on Sunday 14 June 2026 until 4 am, to install speed radars and automatic number-plate recognition cameras. Two lessons follow. A late-night run is not automatically a free road, and the cameras inside that underpass now record speed and number plates.

National days. Before Independence Day 2026, the Gurugram traffic police barred heavy goods vehicles from heading into Delhi between 5 pm on 12 August and 1:30 pm the next day, and again between 5 pm on 14 August and 1:30 pm on Independence Day itself, as World Auto Forum reported from PTI. Movement towards Palwal, Nuh, Faridabad and Rajasthan was not restricted. Expect similar advisories before Republic Day and Independence Day each year.

Your tower's hours. Unpublished, as the table shows. Ask for the permitted days and hours, Sundays and holidays included, and ask what happens if the truck runs late.

Moving between Golf Course Road and Delhi after 31 October?

Check the truck before you book it. A Delhi transport department notice, reported by The Tribune on 27 October 2025, allowed BS-IV commercial goods vehicles registered outside Delhi to enter only until 31 October 2026, as a transitional measure. From then on, such vehicles generally need to be BS-VI, CNG, LNG or electric. The air-quality commission's direction covers light, medium and heavy goods vehicles, and its limited exemption for essential supplies also ends on 31 October 2026, The Tribune added. Stages of the Graded Response Action Plan add their own curbs while they are in force.

So, for any move into Delhi from November, ask your mover two things: the truck's registration state and its emission norm. Our Delhi and Gurgaon moving guide covers the route and documents.

What should you ask, and whom?

Put these to each office by email about ten days before the move, and keep the replies:

Ask Whom Why it matters here
Which body issues the move permission and the gate pass? Estate office Settles the AOA or RWA question before the day
May we see the bye-laws or the shifting circular? Estate office Turns "the rule" into something you can read
Is the tenant bound by a separate form or the owner's letter? Estate office and owner Section 24 binds the tenant either way
Which days and hours, and is Sunday allowed? Estate office, both towers Nothing is published for these towers
Is a fee or deposit charged, and on what decision? Estate office A charge should rest on the bye-laws or a committee decision
Will the truck be BS-VI if the goods go into Delhi? Your mover The BS-IV allowance ends on 31 October 2026
Is any closure or curb announced for our date? Traffic police advisories Underpasses close for work; national days bring truck curbs

When the old and new buildings give different windows, plan around the stricter one. Our household shifting team fits the packing to the hours you are given, and an office move on the road runs through our office relocation service.

Key takeaway

On Golf Course Road the moving rules are real but unpublished. Find out which body issues your permission, ask for its bye-laws or circular in writing, remember that tenants are bound by them too, and check the city's truck hours, any closure advisory and, for Delhi, the truck's emission norm.

Once both buildings have answered, send us the addresses and the date and we will plan the crew and the start time around them.

We checked the Act, reports and documents cited here in October 2026, and this post is general information only. Bye-laws, committee decisions and traffic orders are revised from time to time; ask your estate office and the traffic police for the latest before relying on them.
