If your Sector 79 move begins and ends inside Gurgaon, the price comes from the owner's October 2026 local bands: Rs 4,500–7,000 if you have one bedroom, Rs 8,000–12,500 for a two-bedroom home and Rs 12,000–15,000 for a three-bedroom one. Where your job lands inside that band depends mostly on access here: the narrow Naurangpur road, the wait for a service lift, and how far the truck stands from your tower door.
This post deals with money, hours and access only. For the sector's societies, schools and roads, read our Sector 79 newcomer's guide; for the service itself, our Sector 79 packers and movers page.
What are the price bands for a move in or near Sector 79?
We quote these bands before anyone has seen the goods; they are the same ones shown on our packers and movers in Gurgaon page. They are indicative ranges, set by the owner in October 2026, and the final figure is fixed in writing after a survey visit or a video call.
| What is moving | Where the band applies | Indicative band (Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| One-bedroom home | Local, inside Gurgaon | Rs 4,500–7,000 |
| Two-bedroom home | Local, inside Gurgaon | Rs 8,000–12,500 |
| Three-bedroom home | Local, inside Gurgaon | Rs 12,000–15,000 |
| Family car, on a carrier truck | Within a 50 km run | Rs 9,000–11,500 |
| Bike or scooter | Within a 50 km run | Rs 3,000–7,000 |
Three things fall outside the bands. Homes larger than a 3 BHK, such as the 4.5 BHK layouts that M3M lists at Golf Hills, are priced after a survey. Days in our warehouse, if your keys come late, appear as a separate line. A car sent with the household is quoted as car transport.
Why does the approach road matter more than the kilometres?
Because the road from Sector 79 to the highway is narrow and busy. In a Business Today report of 22 July 2026, the link between Naurangpur and Rampura Chowk, 2.4 km through Sectors 78, 79 and 80, was put at roughly 5.5 metres wide at most, jammed every day and full of dumpers. A loaded truck on that road moves at the speed of the slowest dumper.
That has three effects on a quote:
- Vehicle size. If the last turn into your society is tight, our area page notes that two smaller trips can replace one large truck. The second trip adds driving time, and that shows in the quote.
- The other way in. The Tribune placed Sectors 79 and 79B on the Southern Peripheral Road in January 2026, so a truck can also arrive from the SPR side. Which way is quicker changes from week to week.
- Diversions. Business Today said the six-lane rebuild was expected to start in the first week of August 2026 and run for about two years. When we checked on 12 October 2026 we found no report confirming it had started. Whether it has or not, ask for the route to be rechecked a few days before you move.
The SPR has its own bad days. During the first heavy rain of 7 July 2026, a stretch of NH-48 by Narsinghpur gave way and police diverted highway traffic to the SPR, according to The Tribune. A monsoon move here needs a spare morning, whichever way the truck comes.
How do lifts, courtyards and stairs change the crew hours?
In Sector 79 the hours go into carrying, not driving. A move to the next sector can take less time on the road than in the lift lobby.
- The courtyard carry at Godrej Aria. The six Godrej Aria towers stand around 2.5 acres of courtyard gardens, in the developer's description. If the goods vehicle has to stop on the far side of that green, every carton crosses it on foot, so more porters or more hours.
- Tall towers at M3M Golf Hills. Wikipedia's list of Gurgaon's tallest buildings records Golf Hills as 22 towers of 30 floors, with 2027 as the expected completion. Once residents move in, a high flat empties one lift load at a time, and our area page warns that early residents share service lifts with interior contractors.
- Stairs at the other end. If you are going from a tower to a builder floor or a village house nearby, every piece goes up by hand. Tell us the floor and the stair width when you ask for a quote.
What adds hours on a Sector 79 moving day
| Situation | Why it adds time | What you can do beforehand |
|---|---|---|
| Truck parked far from the tower | Long walk with every carton | Ask the facility desk which gate is nearest your tower |
| Service lift shared or unbooked | Crew waits on each floor | Get a written lift slot, and its length |
| Furniture too big for the lift car | Pieces are taken apart upstairs | Measure the lift door and the largest piece |
| Truck held at the gate | Guards check names and papers | Send the crew list and vehicle number a day ahead |
| Tight last turn into the society | Goods shuttled in a smaller vehicle | Tell us about any narrow gate or ramp |
| Heavy rain or a highway closure | Slow roads, wet loading | Keep the next morning free in July to September |
What will the society ask for before the truck comes in?
Usually a written request, the vehicle number and the crew's identity papers. Few Sector 79 societies publish their rules, so ask your own facility office. As a guide, a March 2026 article by BoxNMove, a Gurgaon moving firm, describes what many Gurgaon RWAs ask for:
- To do: A shifting request or NOC submitted 24 to 72 hours ahead
- To do: A gate pass, if the society uses them
- To do: A service-lift booking of one to two hours
- To do: Shifting only between 10 am and 6 pm, and in some societies not at weekends
- To do: Fines of Rs 1,000 or more for breaking the rules, in some societies
Those are one firm's observations from March 2026, not rules for your building. In a newly handed-over tower, the builder may also want to see your possession letter. When moving out, ask whether the office needs dues cleared before it signs the pass.
Where can the truck stand?
Inside the society, at the spot the guards name, and never parked on the Naurangpur road. At 5.5 metres wide, a stopped truck there blocks traffic in both directions, so the paperwork has to be sorted before it arrives, not at the gate.
In a large society, ask two questions when you book: which gate takes goods vehicles, and how far that gate is from your tower lobby. Near building sites, as at Golf Hills, also ask when material trucks use the internal roads, and plan loading around them.
Which hours can the truck use?
The narrower of two windows. A Gurugram Traffic Police note on GMDA's portal, which carries no date, says commercial vehicles need a permit to run in designated areas during two no-entry periods, from 8 to 10 in the morning and from 5 to 9 in the evening. If your society only permits moves between 10 am and 6 pm, the overlap leaves roughly seven working hours, and the truck needs to be off the designated roads by 5 pm. We read the note on 12 October 2026; check whether it still applies on your date.
What changes for a move to a nearby sector?
The band stays the same anywhere in Gurgaon. What changes is the building and the road at the other end.
| Going to | Our page | What to check there |
|---|---|---|
| Sector 80 | Sector 80 | Shares the Naurangpur road, so the same diversions apply |
| Sector 81 | Sector 81 | Goods gate and lift slot at the new society |
| Sectors 82 to 85 | Sector 82, Sector 84 | Lift booking and gate hours in the destination tower |
| Sector 86 | Sector 86 | Our nearest branch to Sector 79 is here, at Nawada Fatehpur |
| Sector 70 | Sector 70 | The SPR approach and the turn into the society |
| Wider New Gurgaon | New Gurgaon | Whether a new tower has handed over and its lifts run |
If you are waiting for a Golf Hills flat, the move may become two jobs, each quoted on its own: a short shift into a rental now, and the final move after handover. If the dates leave a gap, the packed goods can wait in storage.
How can you keep the quote towards the bottom of the band?
Cut out idle time. Seven days ahead, and again the evening before:
- To do: Book the service lift at both ends, in writing
- To do: Find out the goods gate and where the truck may stand
- To do: Share the truck's registration and the names of the crew with the society
- To do: Empty wardrobes and drawers that need dismantling
- To do: Measure the lift door against your largest piece
- To do: Ask us to recheck the Naurangpur road and SPR the week before
- To do: Keep a spare morning in the monsoon months
For a breakdown of what decides local and intercity prices, read packers and movers charges in Gurgaon, and see our Sector 80 costs guide if you are comparing next door. What the crew does on the day is on our household shifting page. Once you know both addresses and both lift slots, request a written quote.
Treat this as general information only. The bands are indicative and dated October 2026, while society rules, traffic restrictions and road works keep changing, so check them again before booking.
