Shifting Within or Near Sector 37: Costs, Crew Hours and Access

Our owner's indicative bands for October 2026 put house shifting from Sector 37 to another Gurgaon address at Rs 4,500–7,000 for a one-bedroom home, Rs 8,000–12,500 for two bedrooms and Rs 12,000–15,000 for three. In this mostly industrial sector, the point inside each band is set by access rather than kilometres: how close a truck can get to a house in Khandsa's lanes, how many flights the crew climbs, and which hours the roads around Hero Honda Chowk are free of goods traffic.

This post is about household moves alone: the bands, the kinds of home that actually exist here, what uses up crew hours, and what to settle for the short moves that most often start or end in the sector.

What does house shifting in Sector 37 cost?

What kind of home are you moving from?

Start here, because Sector 37 is not a typical housing sector. The Tribune described its Pace City-1 pocket in September 2024 as home to about 200 industries, and much of the rest is factories, warehouses and offices. The homes are mainly in Khandsa, an old village that Wikipedia lists under Sector 37, plus a few low-rise pockets. If your listing says Sector 37 but names a tower, check the real sector on the rent agreement before you ask for a quote. The access, and so the crew time, is quite different.

What adds crew hours in Sector 37?

Five things, most of them about the road outside your door rather than the furniture inside it.

Where the truck stands. A village lane may be too narrow for the vehicle your load needs, or lined with parked tempos and bikes. When the truck waits on the wider road, each carton, mattress and appliance is walked to it, and a walk of a few minutes repeated for a whole 2 BHK adds hours. Tell us the lane width and the distance to the nearest point a truck can stop.

Stairs. Many village houses have narrow internal stairs and no lift. Heavy pieces such as a double-door fridge, a stone-top table or a solid wardrobe may need extra hands or must come apart first.

Goods traffic. Sector 37 shares its roads with factory vehicles and with the Khandsa wholesale market, where The Tribune counted about 300 commission agents and 500 retailers in February 2024. A lane that is clear at one hour can be blocked by produce trucks or a shift change at another. Ask a neighbour when the lane is quietest.

The city's no-entry hours. A Gurugram Traffic Police note on GMDA's Digi Pass page keeps commercial vehicles off designated roads from 8 to 10 am and from 5 to 9 pm. The note carries no date, so treat it as current until told otherwise. A two- or three-bedroom move is planned to load and drive between those windows; if loading runs late, the truck may have to wait before it can leave.

Business goods. If a shop or small office moves on the same day as the home, it needs its own boxes, labels and list. Keep it separate in the quote so the household band stays clear; our office relocation page covers that side.

How do Hero Honda Chowk and the weather affect the day?

For most homes in the sector, the way onto NH-48 is at Hero Honda Chowk, so the junction decides how long the drive takes. It is also about to change. On 2 October 2026, Swarajya reported that the Haryana government had approved an elevated road between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk. NHAI had earlier proposed the 2.25 km stretch, and GMDA was to hire a consultant to prepare a fresh project report. No construction date was given, so check for barricades and diversions in the week of your move.

Rain matters more than heat here. In July 2026 GMDA told The Tribune that Khandsa Chowk was still among six vulnerable waterlogging spots in the city. Where do short moves from Sector 37 usually go?

Distance rarely changes the Gurgaon band, but every destination brings its own question. The distances below are straight lines between the sector centre points that OpenStreetMap gives, measured on 22 October 2026; road distances will be longer.

Of our offices, the Gopalpur branch in Sector 99A is the nearest to Sector 37, about 5 km in a straight line by the same OpenStreetMap centre points, so a survey visit can usually be fitted in at short notice.

How do you keep a Sector 37 move at the lower end of the band?

Most of the saving comes from what you settle before the day:

• To do: Measure the lane at its narrowest point and tell us where a truck can stop.
• To do: Count the flights of stairs at both ends, and say whether either building has a lift.
• To do: Take apart, or list for us, the beds and wardrobes that will not turn on a narrow stair.
• To do: Ask a neighbour when market and factory traffic in your lane is lightest, and choose that hour.
• To do: Plan loading between the morning and evening no-entry windows.
• To do: Keep shop or workshop goods in their own boxes with their own list.
• To do: In July and August, keep a second date free in case Khandsa Chowk floods.
• To do: Sort, sell or give away what you will not use in the new home.
