Sector 37 is a place of work before it is a place to live, filled mostly with factories, warehouses and offices beside NH-48 at Hero Honda Chowk, so a family or renter moving here usually lands in Khandsa village or a small residential pocket rather than a gated tower. Life works well here if you want low rent close to industrial jobs; if you want a society flat with a clubhouse, the towers are next door in Sectors 37C and 37D.

This guide is for the first weeks after you arrive. It covers who lives in the sector, how to judge a rental listing, what is being built around you, where to go for treatment and groceries, and a checklist for your first seven days. Each fact is dated and linked, and we read every source in October 2026.

What kind of place is Sector 37?

It is a sector built for work first. Rent listings for it describe warehouses and offices in Pace City II and in Udyog Vihar Phase 6, and our Sector 37 page explains how its industrial lanes and the busy junction shape a move. The homes are mainly in Khandsa, an old village that Wikipedia places in Sector 37, on the old NH-8. Wikipedia gives Khandsa about 9,959 residents in 1,912 households and notes its temple to Eklavya, the archer of the Mahabharata.

OpenStreetMap also marks a small residential pocket named Saraswati Enclave inside the sector's outline, and a primary health centre in Khandsa. Beyond that, most of the land is industrial.

Where people live What it is like What to check before you sign
Khandsa village Rooms, floors and family houses along village lanes Lane width for a tempo, water supply, the landlord's police verification form
Small residential pockets, such as Saraswati Enclave Low-rise houses and builder floors Which floor, whether there is a lift, parking at the gate
Flats listed as "Sector 37" on portals Often in towers just across the boundary The real sector and tower name, on the rent agreement
Sector 37C next door Group housing; HRERA lists projects such as Aashiyara and Our Homes Society move-in rules and lift booking
Sector 37D next door Towers and four-home plotted floors See our Sector 37D newcomer's guide

How do you judge a rental listing here?

Read it twice. When we looked at the Square Yards rent page for the sector, last updated on 25 August 2026, it showed 16 listings. Among those tagged Sector 37, nine were warehouses, one was an office and six were flats, several of them on the 13th to 18th floors. A high-floor flat sold as "Sector 37" may well stand in a neighbouring sector, so ask for the tower's name and check it on HRERA or a map. That may suit you, but your rent agreement, address proof and school forms should carry the real one.

A few more checks help a renter in a mixed sector:

  • To do: Visit at 9 am and again at 6 pm, when factory shifts and goods vehicles share the lanes.
  • To do: Ask where drinking water comes from: a municipal line, a borewell or tankers.
  • To do: Ask whether the house has its own electricity meter, and see the last bill.
  • To do: Walk the route to the main road on a wet day, or ask neighbours about it; our Sector 37 monsoon post lists the dated reports of water on Khandsa Road.
  • To do: Agree in writing who files the tenant verification with Gurugram Police.

What is being built around Sector 37?

Two large projects will change daily life here, and both are still in progress.

Global City. ThePrint reported on 14 August 2026 that Global City is a mixed-use township of roughly 1,000 acres across Sectors 36, 36B, 37, 37A and 37B, along the Dwarka Expressway. HSIIDC, the state's industrial development corporation, is laying roads, drains, power and water lines first, with offices, homes, shops, hotels, hospitals and schools to follow. The chief minister said 80 percent of the physical work on the Rs 1,000-crore first phase was done and the rest would be finished by December. Plans of this size often slip, so check progress for yourself. For a newcomer it means more construction traffic for some years, and more jobs and services later.

The new metro line. No metro serves Sector 37 today. In March 2025 The Tribune reported that the first phase of the Gurugram Metro, from HUDA City Centre to Sector 9, would have 14 elevated stations, including Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar 6, Sector 10, Sector 37 and Basai, with completion expected by mid-2027. Until it opens, budget for autos, cabs or your own vehicle.

How do you get around in the first weeks?

By road. Khandsa sits on the old NH-8, now NH-48, and for most homes in the sector the nearest way onto the highway is at Hero Honda Chowk. Heading north on the highway takes you towards IFFCO Chowk, Cyber City and Delhi; south leads towards Manesar. For west Gurgaon and the Dwarka Expressway sectors, local roads run past Basai and Garhi Harsaru.

Two habits help. First, find the quiet times at the chowk before you fix school-run or office timings, because trucks for the industrial area and the wholesale market use the same roads. Second, if you are new to Gurgaon, read our Gurugram relocation guide for the city-wide basics such as registration and utilities.

Where do you go for medical care?

Plan this in your first week, before you need it.

  • Civil Hospital, Sector 10. By OpenStreetMap's sector centres, Sector 10 is roughly 1.3 km from the middle of Sector 37 in a straight line. In August 2024 The Tribune described the Civil Hospital building there as the city's sole government facility, with patients sharing beds for lack of space, while a new hospital was planned elsewhere. Check whether services have moved before you rely on it.
  • ESIC Model Hospital, Sector 9A. Many people in Sector 37 work in units covered by Employees' State Insurance. The ESIC hospital list gives the Gurgaon model hospital's address as near the petrol pump, Sector 9A. Carry your ESI card or e-Pehchan details; ask your employer how to register family members.
  • A private hospital for emergencies. Ask your employer, landlord or neighbours which one they use and how long the drive takes at night, then save its emergency line.

Where do you buy groceries and daily needs?

For fresh produce in bulk, the Khandsa wholesale market is close. In February 2024 The Tribune counted at least 300 wholesale commission agents and 500 retailers trading there, and the same report shows that the market can shut during a traders' strike. Produce vehicles crowd the nearby roads at its busy times, so ask neighbours when it is quieter and shop then.

For everyday shopping, ask the landlord where the nearest kirana store, chemist and gas agency are, because a village lane and an industrial lane can look alike on a map. A bank branch near your workplace may be easier to reach than one near your home.

What should you sort out in the first seven days?

Job Ask By when
Real sector, house number and PIN on the agreement Landlord or broker Before paying the deposit
Tenant verification Landlord, through Gurugram Police First week
Water source and storage Landlord or neighbours Before moving in
Electricity meter and last bill Landlord Before moving in
Nearest hospital route, saved on your phone Your own trial drive First two days
ESI registration for family members, if covered Employer's HR desk First month
Quiet hours at Hero Honda Chowk A trial drive at office time First weekday
Bulk shopping trip to Khandsa market Neighbours who use it First weekend

What does a move into Sector 37 cost?

For a move from elsewhere in Gurgaon, our owner's October 2026 indications are between 4,500 and 7,000 rupees when the home has one bedroom, between 8,000 and 12,500 rupees with two, and between 12,000 and 15,000 rupees with three. In Khandsa the figure depends mostly on how close the truck can park and how many stairs there are. Why one family pays more than another inside the same band is covered in our Gurgaon charges guide.

The household shifting page sets out the packing and loading work. If you are moving a shop or small office into the sector as well as your home, see office relocation, and if the new place is not ready on time, storage can hold your goods until it is.

Key takeaway

Sector 37 is an industrial sector with Khandsa village at its heart, so homes are mostly village floors and small pockets, while gated towers sit in 37C and 37D. Check the real sector on any listing, save the Sector 10 and Sector 9A hospital routes, and expect Global City and metro work nearby for some years.

Once your date and both addresses are settled, send them to us for a written figure. Everything in this guide comes from the sources above as they stood in October 2026, so read it as general information. Rent listings, hospital arrangements and project dates all change, so confirm each point before you sign or pay.
