Office Shifting in Sector 37: Planning a Weekend Move

A weekend office move in Sector 37 works when the archives are packed on weekday evenings, your IT team shuts down on Friday evening, and the truck loads, drives and unloads on Saturday between the two daily spells when the city bars commercial vehicles. Before you fix the date, settle three local questions: which address the driver is really heading for, whether both buildings can run the goods lift and server room on a generator, and where metro and road works stand on Hero Honda Chowk.

What kind of office are you moving?

In this sector, an office is rarely a floor in a glass tower. Most sit inside or beside industrial premises, and the kind you have decides who must agree to the move and where the truck can stand.

The question in the last column matters more on a weekend than on a weekday. If the factory next to your office works on Saturday, your loading has to fit around its dispatch, and the gate staff need your carton list in advance.

Is the address Udyog Vihar Phase 6 or Sector 37?

Often both, and the mix-up can cost a driver an hour. Udyog Vihar Phases I to V form the estate in Sector 18 by the Delhi border, but Phase 6 sits down by Hero Honda Chowk. Three sources we checked on 2 November 2026 agree:

• Gurugram Police's West district list places Phases I to V, and no Phase VI, under PS Udyog Vihar.
• Wikipedia's Gurugram Metro article, last edited on 30 October 2026, lists the Phase 1 stations in order as Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Ph6, Sector 10, Sector 37 and Basai.
• Square Yards' Udyog Vihar Phase 6 page, last updated on 29 July 2026, shows "similar properties" in Sector 37 between 0.06 and 0.69 km away.

Measured on OpenStreetMap the same day, the straight line from Sector 37's centre point to the Udyog Vihar point in Sector 18 is about 10.3 km. So when you book, give us the sector, the phase and the plot number together, plus a landmark. The police station also differs: Gurugram Police's Manesar district list puts Khandsa and Pace City-1, plots 1 to 250, under PS Sector-37.

Will the power hold on moving day?

Ask, because in October 2026 it did not. On 21 October, UNI reported that Gurugram's administration had ordered contingency plans for hospitals, water works and the metro ahead of a three-day strike by power employees. The strike began at 10 pm that night, in protest at a parallel distribution licence granted for Gurugram and Nuh to a private company, Eleven Power. Two days later, Outlook reported that nearly 1,800 manufacturing units had been disrupted and named Sector 37 among the industrial areas that struggled. Generators kept some going, but their long running was limited by overheating, cooling needs and pollution-control norms. ThePrint reported on 23 October that the employees had called off the strike after the state government's assurance.

An office move depends on power at both ends. The goods lift carries the cabinets, the server room needs an orderly shutdown and start-up, and the new floor needs lights for unpacking. Put these to each building's facility contact:

• To do: Does the goods lift run on the generator, and for how long?
• To do: Is diesel stocked for Saturday, and who switches over if supply fails?
• To do: Can the server room's UPS hold long enough for a clean shutdown?
• To do: Will the new floor's sockets be live on Sunday for your IT team?

On Friday, charge every laptop and UPS unit fully. If a long cut is announced for your moving week, move the date rather than carry servers down a stair in the dark.

Which hours does the truck have on Saturday?

The same as any other day. Gurugram Traffic Police's undated explainer for its Vehicle Movement Digi Pass names two daily periods when commercial vehicles may not use designated roads, 8 to 10 am and 5 to 9 pm, and says nothing to exempt a Saturday. A Saturday plan therefore looks like this: indoor packing can begin before the truck arrives, the truck enters after 10, and it is unloading at the new building before 5.

The road out is the other variable. On Wikipedia's account, the Phase 1 metro line will run elevated past Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Phase VI, Sector 10 and Sector 37, with 2028 as the target. Indian Infrastructure reported on 12 February 2026 that the first pile had been cast in Sector 45, and that the stretch from Millennium City Centre to Sector 9 needs about 3,000 piles and around 750 pillars. Piling moves along the route over time, so in the week of your move, check whether barricades have reached the roads near your building. What does the weekend look like, hour by hour?

Our office keeps hours of 8 am to 9 pm on Monday to Saturday and stays shut on Sunday, so book the survey and confirm the Saturday on a working day. If the new premises are not ready, furniture and archives can wait in our warehouse and come out in the order you need.
