We found no Sector 83 society that puts its moving rules on the internet, so the permitted hours, the lift slot and any deposit are whatever the office running your building puts in writing for you. What is published sits a level above the society: the planning licences under which Vatika India Next was built, a 2023 notice from the state's planning department about gates inside the township, the city's peak-hour limits on goods vehicles, and Delhi's 31 October 2026 cutoff for older trucks.
Below, each record is given with its date, gaps are named where nothing is written down, and the questions to send your office are listed at the end. For crews, trucks and the approach roads, our packers and movers in Sector 83 Gurgaon page has the detail.
Does any Sector 83 society publish its moving rules?
Not that we could find, and who answers your questions depends on where you live. Our October 2026 search of the main addresses turned up the following:
| Home | What the public record shows | Who to ask | Moving rules online |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emaar Palm Gardens | A finished group-housing society by Emaar, inside the township's sectors (Square Yards) | The society's facility or estate office | None found |
| Mapsko Paradise | A finished Mapsko society of eight towers | The society office or residents' body | None found |
| Vatika Lifestyle Homes, Vatika Gurgaon 21, Vatika City Homes | Vatika's own societies in Sector 83 | The society office; Vatika also lists an estate management service | None found |
| Builder floors and plots on township streets | Part of the licensed colony | The township's estate staff | None found |
| SS Cendana | Listed by Square Yards as under construction | The developer, until a written handover | Not applicable yet |
"None found" means nothing is online, not that no rules exist. A society office will usually have a printed sheet or a lift-lobby notice; request a copy by email so you hold it in writing. Not every society inside the township was built by Vatika, either: Emaar and Mapsko projects carry their own developers' names, and their offices may set their own rules whatever the township's estate team says.
Under which licences was the township built?
Five licences from Haryana's Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP). In a public notice printed in the Hindustan Times on 11 August 2023, which Vatika reproduces on its website, the company listed the licensed area of its colony in Sectors 81 to 85 as 477.206 acres:
| Licence no. | Dated |
|---|---|
| 113 of 2008 | 1 June 2008 |
| 71 of 2010 | 15 September 2010 |
| 62 of 2011 | 2 July 2011 |
| 76 of 2011 | 7 September 2011 |
| 66 of 2014 | 15 July 2014 |
The same notice said Vatika was adding about 24.09 acres of residential plotted colony, and that a DTCP letter of intent dated 7 August 2023 required the company to invite objections from existing allottees. It said the revised layout plan could be inspected at the office of the Senior Town Planner in Sector 14, Gurugram. Vatika's own township page describes India Next more loosely, as a privately managed township of 550 acres, so the figures do not match exactly.
Why should this matter for a move? Because a licensed colony's roads, gates and layout are governed by the licence and the approved plan, not by whoever happens to staff a barrier. The licensee's duty to maintain those roads, and what happens when that duty ends, is set out in our Sector 81 rules guide and is not restated here. If you want to know whether the street outside your tower is an internal township road, the layout plan is the document that shows it.
What did DTCP say about the gates in Sectors 82 and 83?
That they needed approval and should come down. On 8 May 2023 PropNewsTime reported that, after a complaint, DTCP had issued a show-cause notice to Vatika over gates installed at entry and exit points and shops running inside the residential area. The report said:
- Officials who visited the colony found violations in Sectors 82 and 83.
- Notices went to the developer, the township's maintenance company and the president of the residents' welfare association of Block E, where the gates and shops stood.
- Under Haryana's Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act of 1975, gates at the entry and exit points of a licensed colony need prior approval from the competent authority.
- The developer was told to remove the unapproved gates and outlets, or to explain within seven days why action should not follow.
We have not found a later report of how the case ended (check before relying on it). For moving day, the practical point is narrower: barriers and guard posts inside the township can change, and the guard at one may answer to the township while the guard at your tower answers to the society. Ask your office which gate the truck must use, whether that gate needs its own pass, and send us the answer.
Who sets the rules inside your own society?
Whoever runs your building's maintenance, and in Haryana that can be one of three bodies. On 1 August 2026 ThePrint reported on a session held by the Federation of Apartment Owners Associations in Gurugram, where residents and lawyers described the overlap between two laws: Haryana's Registration and Regulation of Societies Act of 2012, under which residents' welfare associations are registered, and the Haryana Apartment Ownership Act, 1983, which governs apartment owners' associations. Speakers said the overlap confuses common-area handovers, and some residents alleged builders had kept them out of RWA membership.
So in Sector 83 the office that issues your slip may be the developer's facility team, an RWA or an AOA. What these offices typically check is clearer. A MyGate survey published on 16 July 2025 found that 72% of the gated communities it asked had frequent problems with moves. The commonest were incomplete documents (68%), moves at unapproved times (64%) and unpaid dues (60%). Some 36% enforced pre-approved time slots, 48% preferred flexible timing with prior notice, and 12% had no policy at all. It is a national survey, not a Sector 83 one, but it shows what the desk will look for: paperwork, timing and a clean account.
Which hours and dates are open for a Sector 83 moving truck?
Inside the window your society allows, and around these published limits:
- Society hours. None are published for Sector 83. Guides written by Gurgaon movers often mention a daytime window on weekdays, but that is a pattern, not a rule for your building, so get your office's hours in writing.
- City peak hours. Gurugram's traffic police, in a note about the Vehicle Movement Digi Pass that GMDA hosts, bar commercial vehicles from designated areas during two windows, 8 am to 10 am and 5 pm to 9 pm. For how to apply for that pass, see the Sector 54 rules guide.
- Delhi's truck rule. Under a Delhi transport notice covered by The Tribune on 27 October 2025, BS-IV goods vehicles from other states keep their entry only up to 31 October 2026, while vehicles of BS-VI standard or running on CNG, LNG or electricity stay exempt and GRAP curbs apply whenever a stage is in force. This guide is published six days before that date, so check whether it has been extended. For the drive itself, read Moving between Delhi and Gurgaon.
- Short-notice advisories. We found no Gurugram traffic police advisory on heavy vehicles for NH-48 or the Dwarka Expressway issued in October 2026, as of 24 October. Such advisories are usually posted on the traffic police's social media accounts, so look there in the week of the move.
What papers do Sector 83 offices and gates ask for?
It depends on whether you own, rent or are leaving:
- A no-dues receipt. Given how often dues cause disputes, expect the exit pass to wait until maintenance is paid up. Ask for an itemised receipt.
- Tenant verification. Renters, and any domestic staff, should complete police verification. Sector 83 has a police post of its own: the Vatika INXT post, opened in August 2017 under Kherki Daula police station to cover Sectors 81 to 85. The online route is explained in our Sector 86 rules guide.
- A possession or handover letter, if you own a flat that has only just been completed.
- Property tax clearance, for an owner who is selling. MC Manesar lists Sector 83 among the areas that came under it in December 2022, so the property ID and dues sit with the Manesar corporation rather than Gurugram's.
- Vehicle and crew details for the gate. Before the day we share the truck's registration and each crew member's name, and all of them carry ID.
What should you ask before booking a Sector 83 move?
Email both offices, the one you are leaving and the one you are joining, about a week ahead, and save their answers:
- To do: Is maintenance run by the developer's team, an RWA or an AOA, and since when?
- To do: Which weekdays and which hours are allowed for moving goods?
- To do: Will the service lift be reserved for us throughout loading, and is padding compulsory?
- To do: What fee or deposit applies, and on what grounds could the deposit be cut?
- To do: Is a no-dues certificate required before the exit pass is signed?
- To do: Which township gate should the truck use, and does it need a separate pass?
- To do: Where may a goods vehicle stand inside the compound while loading?
- To do: For a new tower, has the handover been made in writing?
If the township and your society give different hours, plan to the tighter of the two. Costs, crew hours and the society-by-society picture are in our Sector 83 costs guide, and the first weeks after arrival are covered in the Sector 83 newcomer guide. If there is a gap between leaving one home and getting the keys to the next, storage can hold your goods. Our household shifting page walks through the crew's day, and once both offices have answered, send us the two addresses to fix a date.
This is general information and should not be read as legal advice; each rule above is dated for a reason. Licences, planning notices, society procedures and truck curbs change, so check the current position with DTCP, the traffic police and your society office in the days before you move.
