In Sector 56, only Kendriya Vihar publishes its moving process: its owners' association promises a no-dues certificate to leave and a no-objection certificate to move in, each within two days, and lists the papers for both. The co-operative societies, the HSVP plots and the Sushant Lok II houses publish nothing we could find, so there the rules come from a managing committee or a landlord, while the truck hours and road works come from the city.
Each rule below carries its date and source; where nothing is written down, we say so. To see how one crew handles a short local move from start to finish, visit our packers and movers in Sector 56 Gurgaon page. The Kendriya Vihar item list (Form F-08), its gate hours and its service charges are covered in our Sector 56 costs guide, so this post does not repeat them.
Which kind of Sector 56 address do you have?
The sector is an HSVP (formerly HUDA) sector with a long list of group housing. Square Yards' Sector 56 project list names more than thirty complexes, many of them co-operative group housing societies (CGHS). Sorted by who decides on a move:
| Type of address | Examples | Who sets the rules | Published online? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kendriya Vihar | One campus of several blocks | Kendriya Vihar Apartment Owners Welfare Association, registered in 2013 under Haryana's societies law of 2012 | Yes: forms, service standards and circulars |
| Co-operative group housing | CGHS HEWO Apartments, Alankar CGHS, C-DOT Co-operative Group Housing Society, The Arihant CGHS | Each society's managing committee | Nothing found |
| Other apartment complexes | Jalvayu Towers, Professors Enclave, Sobha Smriti, Park View Apartments, Unitech Birch Court | The complex's association or maintenance office | Nothing found |
| HSVP plots and floors, Sushant Lok II houses | Lettered blocks; houses along Golf Course Extension Road | Landlord and neighbours; a block RWA where it runs a barrier | Nothing found |
If your address is in a co-operative society, read the last two sections. If it is in Kendriya Vihar, the next four apply.
What does Kendriya Vihar ask for before you move out?
A no-dues certificate, or NDC. The association's service standards, dated 11 September 2023, give the estate manager or the accounts office two days to issue one "for exit and internal shifting". So the same paper is needed whether you leave the campus or just move to another flat inside it. The listed documents are:
- maintenance (the annual subscription) and any other dues paid up to date;
- the Resident Details form with passport photos, the current rent agreement, an affidavit and police verification;
- ID proof of every member of the household, and a service ID card or offer letter;
- a seepage report clearance, and clearance that there is no encroachment or commercial use;
- the security deposit, where one applies.
Tenants use Form F-10, a single request for both the deposit refund and the NDC or gate pass. Its office section shows what gets checked: subscription paid up to date, your removal from the MyGate app and the website, the car or bike sticker taken off the boom barrier, and a no-dues certificate from the flat's owner. Bring the original deposit receipt; the form allows an affidavit if it is lost. The service standards put the tenant refund on the date of vacating.
Two days is the published promise, not a guarantee. Apply a week ahead, so the paper is in hand before the truck is booked.
And before you move in?
A no-objection certificate (NOC), also promised within two days. It needs the same core papers: the Resident Details form, the rent agreement, an affidavit on Rs 10 stamp paper, police verification, ID for everyone and a service ID or offer letter, plus a security deposit if applicable.
Form F-02, the Resident Details form, asks for the block and flat you are shifting into, your previous year's address, family members, domestic staff and vehicles. You also sign undertakings, among them that the flat will not be sublet or used for commercial work, that you will follow the association's bye-laws, that you will take an NDC before you leave, and that a tenant has the owner's written consent and police verification before occupying.
Since 20 September 2025, the campus has used MyGate for gate management, a notice of 30 September 2025 says. Ask the office to add your household to the app once the NOC is issued, so guards can see you at the gate.
Buying rather than renting? A circular of 6 October 2025 charges each buyer a transfer fee of Rs 10,000 plus GST for a repair and renewal fund, waived for transfers within a family. The sale NOC itself has a three-day timeline in the service standards.
What did the 2025 police verification drive change?
It made the papers non-negotiable. In a notice dated 16 May 2025, the association said it had received a notice from the Sector 56 police station, under Section 168 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, requiring verification of all tenants, domestic staff, labourers and anyone serving full-day duties without proper papers. Door-to-door checks by society security and police were to start on 24 May 2025.
The documents to be shown included a valid rent agreement, a police verification certificate and the NOC for entry and internal shifting. The notice also said no more than two bachelors may share a flat without society approval, and that units which missed the two-day window of 17 and 18 May would face a Rs 10,000 penalty per unit, with possible police action.
For a tenant, the lesson is simple: arrange police verification before the move, not after. Gurugram Police take tenant and domestic-help details online, and the association keeps the police form on its own site as well.
Can cartons wait on the landing or in the stilt parking?
No. A circular of 9 April 2026 bars personal belongings from staircases, landings, stilts, parking spaces, terraces and passages, citing the Haryana Building Code, 2017 and Clause 19(vi) of the association's bye-laws. It announced a clearance drive from 27 April 2026 and warned that items left behind would be treated as abandoned.
On a moving day, that means packed cartons stay inside the flat until the truck is at the block, and furniture goes straight from the door to the vehicle. If something must sit outside for a while, the circular asks residents to tell the estate manager and say for how long.
Who signs the papers in October 2026?
Check before you go. Several 2025 circulars were signed by an administrator. On 13 October 2026, a returning officer's notice took nominations for the post of Secretary, and Form F-10 is addressed to the Secretary. While an election is under way, ask the office who is authorised to sign an NDC or NOC that week, so a form is not left waiting for a signature.
What about the co-operative societies and the plotted blocks?
They decide for themselves, and publish little. A co-operative group housing society is normally run by an elected managing committee under its own bye-laws, and the other complexes by their association or maintenance office. We searched for HEWO Apartments and Jalvayu Towers in particular, and found property listings but no website, notice or moving rule. Ask the society office for its rules in writing and the date they were adopted.
Outside the gated complexes, the street is a public road. The Deputy Commissioner's order reported by PropNewsTime on 14 February 2025 requires internal-road gates in licensed colonies and HSVP sectors to remain open by day; a boom barrier with a guard is the most a colony may keep. A block RWA may still ask for the truck number at its barrier. On a floor, agree the timing with the households that share your staircase.
When can the truck run?
| Limit | Detail | Where it comes from | Before the day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peak-hour truck ban | Commercial trucks barred from designated roads in two peaks, 8–10 am and 5–9 pm | Note by the city's traffic police, hosted by GMDA (no date; read 23 Oct 2026) | Confirm with the traffic police on 1095 |
| Extension Road works | Widening to eight lanes, drains on both sides, traffic plan drafted | The Tribune, 3 May 2026 | Whether the kerb outside your gate is dug up; we found no diversion advisory by 23 Oct 2026 |
| Delhi entry from 1 Nov 2026 | Goods trucks with non-Delhi registration need BS-VI, CNG, LNG or electric power once the BS-IV allowance ends | The Tribune, 27 Oct 2025 | The booked truck's emission class |
| Your society's slot | Set by the association or committee | Kendriya Vihar's hours are on Form F-08; others not published | Get it in writing |

What should you ask, and whom?
- To do: Kendriya Vihar: which documents are still missing for my NDC or NOC, and who will sign it this week?
- To do: Kendriya Vihar tenants: is my police verification on file, and where is my original deposit receipt?
- To do: Co-operative society: do you have written moving rules, a fee or a deposit, and which committee decision set them?
- To do: Any complex: what loading hours and which entrance do you allow for a whole-house move?
- To do: Plotted block: where can the truck stand without blocking a neighbour, and does the barrier need its number?
- To do: New home: has the other society confirmed its slot in writing?
Key takeaway
In Kendriya Vihar, apply for the NDC or NOC about a week ahead with the full set of papers, including police verification. Everywhere else in Sector 56, get the society's or landlord's rules on dated paper, and look again at the truck hours and the state of the Extension Road a few days before the move.
Once both slots are fixed, share the dates with us and our team will build the household shift around them. New to the sector? Our Sector 56 newcomer's guide covers schools, hospitals and addresses.
We read every source above in October 2026; this is general information, and it does not give legal advice or speak for any society's current rules. Associations revise forms and circulars, and traffic orders change, so confirm each one before your move.
