Sushant Lok 1 has no moving rulebook online: as of October 2026 we found no shifting hours, move fee or gate-pass form published by its residents' association. The rules that are written down come from elsewhere: a district order that gates on the colony's internal roads stay open by day, the town planners' limits on how plots and stilts may be used, Gurugram Police's tenant verification, and the traffic police's hours for commercial vehicles.

Each of those is set out below with its source and date, followed by the questions that fill the gaps. This post is about permissions only. For the colony itself and how small room moves are handled there, see our Sushant Lok 1 packers and movers page.

Who sets the rules for a move in Sushant Lok 1?

No single office does. Sushant Lok 1 is a plotted colony, so the rules come from several bodies, each covering one part of the day.

Layer Who Published? What it touches
Your building The owner and other households on the plot; in a tower, its maintenance office Rarely Stairs, lift, stilt, basement
The colony The RWA office and the guards it employs None found online Entry checks, local customs, any move-out note
Roads and plots DTCP enforcement wing Press reports Gates, building use, sealing
Residents' records Gurugram Police A citizen-service page Tenant verification
City roads Gurugram Traffic Police A note hosted by GMDA Hours for commercial vehicles

Who maintains the colony is less settled than it looks. According to the National Green Tribunal's judgment of 4 July 2022, Ansal said it had handed Phase I to the RWA in May 2015, and a January 2019 Hindustan Times report, reproduced by Architexturez, said the colony was likely to pass to the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram. We did not find an official record confirming that transfer. For a moving day the practical answer is the same either way: the guards and the RWA office are the people to ask.

Can a gate or guard stop the truck?

A guard can check it; a locked gate on an internal road should not be there in daylight. PropNewsTime reported in February 2025 that:

  1. The DTCP, with police help, took down four illegal gates in South City 1 and Sushant Lok 1 on 8 February 2025, after complaints made through the Chief Minister's Window.
  2. The District Town Planner (Enforcement) warned that every illegal gate put up by an RWA in a licensed colony would be removed.
  3. A Deputy Commissioner's directive required steel and iron gates on internal roads of licensed colonies and HSVP sectors to stay open during the daytime.
  4. Boom barriers on internal roads were allowed for security, provided guards watch them round the clock and CCTV covers them.
  5. On the same day two unlawful constructions in Sushant Lok 1 were sealed.

That report is now more than a year and a half old. Gates may have been put back or the directive revised, so walk the route from the main road to your door in the week before and note any barrier.

What it means on the day:

  • To do: Expect a boom barrier and a guard to note the vehicle and crew
  • To do: Give the guard the date, the vehicle number and your house number in advance
  • To do: If a gate is closed in daylight, ask the RWA who opens it, rather than unloading on the main road

What should a tenant settle before moving in or out?

Two things that have nothing to do with the RWA's hours: police verification, and whether the building is under notice.

Police verification. The Gurugram Police verification page asks for the form to be filled and handed in at the police station for the area, with supporting documents, a copy kept by the applicant and a copy given to the RWA president. It also links to an online route through the HarSamay portal. The page was last updated in August 2019, so check the current procedure before you rely on it, and agree with the landlord who files it.

The building's legal status. Many Sushant Lok 1 plots now hold several households or let rooms, and the town planners have acted against some of them:

  • In August 2023 The Tribune reported a drive that sealed 40 stilt-plus-four units used commercially, in colonies that included Sushant Lok I.
  • On 10 September 2026 The Tribune reported the sealing of A Block units, among them a guest house with 52 rooms, and repeated the DTCP's position that stilt floors are meant for parking.

Two consequences follow for a move. A sealed room cannot be entered without the department, so belongings should leave before a sealing date, not on it. And because the stilt is parking, cartons and furniture should not be staged there for hours while the vehicle waits.

What about the towers on the Sector 28 side?

They will have their own rules, but we found none published. Silverglades Hightown, registered with HARERA as 22 of 2020, describes three towers with 260 homes in Sector 28, Sushant Lok 1. A tower move depends on a lift and a basement, so ask its maintenance office for the booking form, the service lift and its hours, the basement clearance height and any refundable deposit, and keep the reply in writing.

When may the truck run in and out?

Outside the hours when commercial traffic is barred. A Digi Pass note from Gurugram Traffic Police, kept on GMDA's website, sets out when goods and other commercial vehicles may not use designated roads.

Limit Hours Set by How current
Daily no-entry for goods and commercial vehicles Mornings 8–10 and evenings 5–9, designated roads Gurugram Traffic Police The note carries no date; read in October 2026
Building or block hours Not published RWA, owner or tower office Ask in writing
Festival and event curbs Set each year Gurugram Police Check the week before

Because the colony lies between MG Road and Golf Course Road, a truck leaving it nearly always joins a main road within minutes, so the windows matter at both ends of the journey.

What is not published, and what should you ask?

Almost everything a society usually writes down. The only shifting hours we have seen linked to Sushant Lok 1 come from a moving company's March 2026 blog post, which lists it among areas with strict RWAs; that is a mover's description, not an RWA document. Put these questions to the RWA office, the owner or the tower office, and keep the answers:

  • To do: Are there moving hours, and are Sundays allowed?
  • To do: Does the RWA want a move-out note or proof of cleared dues?
  • To do: Is a fee or deposit charged, and under which RWA decision?
  • To do: What do the guards need: vehicle number, crew names, ID copies?
  • To do: Has the building received a DTCP notice or sealing order?
  • To do: Who has filed the police verification, and where is the copy?
  • To do: Where may the vehicle stand without blocking a neighbour's gate or stilt?

In what order should the permissions be sorted?

When Step Who
Before signing or ending a lease Ask about DTCP notices; agree who files police verification Tenant and owner
Two weeks before Ask the RWA about hours, notes and any fee You
One week before Book the lift and basement slot if it is a tower You
Two days before Send the vehicle number and crew list to the guard You and the mover
Moving day Keep the stilt and lane clear; drive outside the no-entry windows The mover

Key takeaway

Sushant Lok 1's written rules are the DTCP's on gates and building use, the police's on tenant verification, and the city's truck hours. Everything else sits with the RWA, the owner or the tower office, so get it in writing before you book.

When the hours are settled, send them with your quote request, and our household shifting page explains the stages of a home move. Comparing phases first? This guide is general information. It is not legal advice and does not state any RWA's present rules. Gate orders, enforcement drives and traffic timings change, so check with the RWA, the DTCP and Gurugram Police before acting.
