Sushant Lok 3 has no published moving rulebook. When we searched up to 27 October 2026, neither its RWA nor the builder nor any maintenance agency had put moving hours, a fee, a gate-pass form or a no-objection letter online. The rules that are on paper come from public bodies instead: the town planners' enforcement notices on how buildings are used, district and police orders on tenant records, and the traffic police's hours for goods vehicles.

Below, each of those is set out with its date and source, followed by the questions to ask where nothing is written down. This post deals only with permissions. Truck sizes, crew hours and price bands are in our Sushant Lok 3 costs guide, while the services we offer in the colony are listed under packers and movers in Sushant Lok 3.

Who can say yes or no to a move in Sushant Lok 3?

Several bodies, each over a different piece of the day. Sushant Lok 3 is a plotted colony in Sector 57 with a few small apartment blocks among the floors (the costs guide names them), so there is no single estate office.

Body What it controls on a moving day Anything published on moving?
The owner, or the PG operator Your room or floor, the stair, the stilt, the deposit No; it is in your lease or nowhere
Office of an apartment block Lift, lobby and parking in front None found online
Residents' welfare association Guards, any block barrier, local custom None found online
Municipal Corporation of Gurugram Streets, drains, lights Not for moves
DTCP enforcement wing Whether the building may be used as it is Notices and press statements
District administration and police Tenant registers and verification Orders and a citizen-service page
Traffic police and GMDA Truck hours and main-road works A Digi Pass note; works reported in the press

Two of these overlap in a way that confuses many tenants. In May 2022 The Tribune reported that the planning department had decided to hand nine private colonies to MCG, with the developers paying Rs 92.04 crore for missing infrastructure; our Sushant Lok 3 newcomer guide explains that order for this colony. The municipal handover did not end the planners' role. A Grihik report of 25 September 2026 says the Punjab and Haryana High Court held that a licensed colony coming within municipal limits does not, by itself, take away the DTCP's power to act on building violations. So MCG looks after the street outside, while the DTCP can still act on the building you are leaving.

What have the town planners done in Sushant Lok 3?

Two reported survey rounds, fifteen months apart.

Date reported What happened Source
14 June 2025 A one-day survey of Blocks A, B and C put notices outside about 250 houses; owners had seven days to reply before restoration orders and, if needed, sealing. Stilt parking misuse, servant quarters and roof additions were among the issues The Daily Jagran
30 September 2026 The enforcement wing said its survey of the colony was complete; more than 30 buildings were flagged for alleged PGs, guest houses or business use, and show-cause notices and restoration orders had gone out in several cases Grihik

Neither report sets a date by which tenants must leave. The Grihik report says each property would be handled on its own facts. What happened in DLF this summer shows how a deadline can appear, though: on 25 June 2026 ThePrint carried a PTI report that the enforcement department had pasted notices across DLF Phases 1 to 5 ordering residents of PGs, guest houses, hostels and co-living spaces on residential plots out by 30 June. The notice said landlords had often kept occupants in the dark about earlier notices, and urged them to find out for themselves whether their building was lawful.

For a Sushant Lok 3 tenant, that means asking directly rather than waiting to be told:

  • To do: Has this building received a show-cause notice or restoration order? Ask for a copy.
  • To do: Has a sealing date been set, and for which floors?
  • To do: If you must leave early, will the deposit and any advance rent be returned, and when?

A sealed floor cannot be entered without the department, so the safe plan is to have your belongings out before any sealing date. And because the June 2025 notices named misuse of stilts, avoid leaving cartons and furniture parked in the stilt while the truck is on its way.

Is there a rule that covers PG rooms?

Not a dedicated one. On 21 September 2026 the PG Association of Gurugram asked the planning department for a regulatory framework covering PGs, ghar.tv reported; the same report notes that the existing guest-house policy, last revised in October 2020, is built around stays shorter than 30 days. Until a policy is notified, whether a given PG building is allowed depends on its own approvals, which a tenant cannot easily check. Ask the operator what permission the building holds, and keep its answer with your agreement.

What do the police and district orders require?

Records, kept mainly by the owner or operator. The Gurugram Police verification page, last updated in August 2019, describes filing tenant details at the local police station, with copies for the applicant and the RWA president. A notice dated 12 November 2025 from Gurugram's Deputy Commissioner announced Section 163 orders, issued under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, that named PGs, guest houses and house owners among others: each was to keep a register of tenants and workers with ID copies and have tenants verified by the police. The Logical Indian gave its term as 11 November 2025 to 31 January 2026, and we found no renewal by 27 October 2026, so check whether a newer one applies on your date.

Moving into a PG or a floor, hand over your ID early so the paperwork is filed before the van arrives. Moving out, ask the operator to record your leaving date in its register.

What about the electricity meter and the final bill?

It depends on whether your floor has switched. Since a utility decision that Amar Ujala covered on 21 November 2025, homes in the colony and its Extension may take their own connections; before that, the builder fed them all from one bulk supply dating from 2002–03. When you leave, find out whose meter you are on. With the utility's own meter, photograph the reading with the owner and settle the last bill between you. If the floor is still supplied through a builder sub-meter, ask who issues the final bill and get it before you hand over the keys.

When can the truck run, and which roads need checking?

Limit The rule Who said so, and when Confirm before moving
Daily no-entry for goods vehicles No goods or commercial vehicles on its listed roads in the morning (8 to 10) or evening (5 to 9) Digi Pass note, undated, read 27 Oct 2026 Whether your route uses a listed road
Golf Course Extension Road works Widening to eight lanes with drains and footpaths, under a traffic plan The Tribune, 3 May 2026 Which turns and edges are open that week
Gates on internal roads Open by day under a 2025 district directive; guarded barriers allowed Covered in our Sushant Lok 1 rules guide Any barrier between the main road and your gate
Your block's own hours Not published RWA, owner or apartment office Get them in writing

On the sector-dividing road between Sector 57 and Sectors 50–51, GMDA cleared blocked service lanes in July 2024 and told owners of access cuts onto it to seek permission, so check that any cut your block uses is still open; the costs guide has the detail. For the wider sector's rules, including who runs its other colonies, see our Sector 57 rules guide.

Where nothing is written down, what should you ask?

Most of what a gated society would print. Generic articles online give typical society hours and notice periods, but none cites a Sushant Lok 3 document, so treat them as guesses. Put these questions to the right person and keep the answers:

  • To do: RWA or guards: Are there moving hours or a no-moving day? Do the guards want the vehicle number and crew names in advance?
  • To do: Apartment block office: Is the lift booked for a move, and is there a fee or refundable deposit under a written decision?
  • To do: Owner or PG operator: Has the building received any DTCP notice? Who files police verification? When is the deposit returned?
  • To do: Owner: Where may the truck stand without blocking a neighbour's gate or the stilt?
  • To do: Utility or owner: Who issues the final electricity bill?

Key takeaway

In Sushant Lok 3 the rules you can actually read come from the DTCP, the district administration, the police and the traffic police; nothing from the RWA or the builder is published. Ask your owner about notices before you plan the date, and get any colony-level hours in writing.

Once the permissions are settled, send us the date and both addresses; the stages of the day itself are on our household shifting page, and moves anywhere else in the city start from our Gurgaon page.

This guide gives general information only. It is not legal advice, and it does not describe the present rules of any RWA, owner or PG operator. Enforcement notices, district orders and traffic timings change, so confirm them with the DTCP, Gurugram Police and your owner before acting.
