House shifting in or near Udyog Vihar is priced on our owner's October 2026 Gurgaon bands: a one-bedroom home is moved for Rs 4,500–7,000, a two-bedroom home for Rs 8,000–12,500 and a three-bedroom home for Rs 12,000–15,000, while a single furnished room, the commonest home listed in Sector 18, is quoted on its own. What moves the figure inside a band is access, meaning the walk from a village lane to the truck and the stairs of a shared building, and the biggest jump comes from crossing into Delhi, which starts about 4 km from the sector's centre.
Udyog Vihar is an estate of offices and factories, so the people who live there rent in Sarhaul, Dundahera, Nathupur and the planned sectors next door. Our page on packers and movers in Udyog Vihar Gurgaon covers business moves on the estate. Where newcomers rent, and what they pay, is in our Udyog Vihar newcomer's guide. This post deals only with household moves: the money, the crew's time and how a vehicle reaches your door.
What does house shifting in Udyog Vihar cost in October 2026?
The ranges below are indicative and were set by our owner, Radhe Shyam; they match the table on our Gurgaon city page.
| What you are moving | Staying in Gurgaon | Crossing into Delhi | Typical example near the estate |
|---|---|---|---|
| A single room (1 RK) | Quoted on its own | Quoted on its own | A furnished room in a Sector 18 builder floor |
| One bedroom | Rs 4,500–7,000 | Rs 7,000–8,000 | A one-bedroom set in Dundahera or Nathupur |
| Two bedrooms | Rs 8,000–12,500 | Rs 10,000–13,500 | A two-bedroom floor in Sector 22 or 23 |
| Three bedrooms | Rs 12,000–15,000 | Rs 14,000–16,500 | A family floor in Palam Vihar |
| Car, within 50 km | Rs 9,000–11,500 | Rs 9,000–11,500 | Any of the above |
| Scooter or bike, inside 50 km | Rs 3,000–7,000 | Rs 3,000–7,000 | Any of the above |
These are pre-survey ranges, not fixed prices. If you are moving a business at the same time, keep it out of this table; our office relocation team quotes it separately.
What kind of home are you moving out of?
Most likely one room. On 2 November 2026 we read the first page of Square Yards' Sector 18 rental listings, stamped as updated that day. Of the 25 listings shown, 14 were office spaces. Nine were single rooms (1 RK), seven of them in builder floors, and only two were larger homes: a two-bedroom floor and a three-bedroom flat. The rooms ranged from 150 to 486 sq ft, and most were let furnished.
That shapes the job in two ways. First, a furnished room holds the owner's bed, cupboard and often a fridge, so the crew moves only what is yours: clothes, kitchen things, a television, a cooler, a few cartons. Agree that list with the owner before the crew arrives, so nothing that belongs to the room is packed by mistake. Second, a one-room load is small enough for a light vehicle, which helps in narrow lanes.
Wikipedia describes Sarhaul as a village that the estate grew around and eventually enveloped. Lanes inside an old village were not laid out for trucks, which is where most of the crew's time goes.
What uses up crew hours near the estate?
The walk to the vehicle, the stairs, and waiting. Here is how each kind of home tends to behave:
| Home | Where the vehicle usually stops | What takes the time | What to tell us at the first call |
|---|---|---|---|
| Room in a Sarhaul or Dundahera village building | Where the lane meets a wider road | Each load carried along the lane; steep shared stairs | Floor number, lane width, distance to the nearest point a vehicle can wait |
| Room or floor in a Sector 18 builder floor | At the gate or on the street | Stairs without a lift; a landing shared with other tenants | Which floor, the width of the stair at its turns |
| Floor in Sectors 21 to 23A | At the plot gate, if neighbours' cars are moved | Bulky beds and wardrobes that must come apart | Largest pieces, and whether parking in front can be kept free |
| Room in Nathupur, beside Cyber City | Often away from the door, beyond narrow lanes | A long carry and a short parking window | A nearby landmark the driver can find |
Two things shorten every one of these. Have the cartons packed and sealed before the crew arrives, so the carry starts at once. And ask the neighbours the evening before to leave the lane clear at the hour you have booked.
Timing matters too. Trucks are kept off designated city roads from 8 till 10 am and again from 5 till 9 pm, according to an undated Gurugram Traffic Police explainer of its Vehicle Movement Digi Pass. A single room is usually loaded, driven and unloaded inside the gap between those spells; a three-bedroom floor may need an early packing day. Weather is the other variable. The 2026 reports of water on the estate's roads are collected in our Udyog Vihar season guide, so keep a reserve date for a move between July and mid-September.
Where do short moves from Sector 18 go, and which police station follows?
Mostly to the next pocket. We measured straight lines between centre points on OpenStreetMap on 2 November 2026; road distances are longer. The police station column comes from Gurugram Police's jurisdiction lists for the West and East districts, read the same day.
| Destination | Straight line from Sector 18 | Police station listed | Price band |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sector 18 itself, including Sarhaul (listed as Sirhol) | — | PS Sector-17/18 | Gurgaon |
| Sector 22 | about 1.7 km | PS Palam Vihar | Gurgaon |
| Dundahera | about 2.5 km | PS Udyog Vihar | Gurgaon |
| Sector 21 | about 2.6 km | PS Palam Vihar | Gurgaon |
| Sector 23 | about 2.7 km | PS Palam Vihar | Gurgaon |
| Nathupur | about 2.8 km | PS DLF Phase 2 | Gurgaon |
| Palam Vihar | about 3.6 km | PS Palam Vihar | Gurgaon; see Palam Vihar |
| Kapashera, Delhi | about 4.1 km | Delhi Police | Delhi |
On hops this short, the kilometres barely change the price: packing, the stairs and the carry take as long for 2 km as for 20. The table matters for paperwork. A tenant who moves from Sarhaul to Dundahera, for example, changes police station, so the new landlord files verification with PS Udyog Vihar rather than PS Sector-17/18. For a floor near DLF Phase 3, see our DLF Phase 3 page; Maxx Relocation's V Block branch in Sector 24 is close by.
What changes when a short move crosses into Delhi?
Almost everything except the distance. Kapashera is only half a kilometre further from Sector 18 than Palam Vihar, yet a move there sits in the Delhi band and meets Delhi's rules for goods vehicles. Three of those rules are dated around this post's release:
- Emission class, November 2026 to January 2027. On 26 October 2026, UNI reported that Delhi would turn away out-of-state vehicles rated below BS-VI for three months, starting on 1 November 2026 and ending on 31 January 2027, unless they run on CNG, LNG or electricity.
- PUC certificate and GRAP. A Delhi Traffic Police advisory, reported by The Hans India on 30 October 2026, adds that vehicles without a valid Pollution Under Control certificate are restricted, and notes that Stage I of the air-quality plan (GRAP) has applied since 21 October. The same report says three FIRs were registered after commercial vehicles were found with fake No Entry Permissions at the border on 27 October.
- Entry charge. Light commercial vehicles and two-axle trucks now pay Rs 2,000 each time they enter Delhi, under a notification dated 4 May 2026 that The Tribune reported.
So before a Delhi-bound move, ask for the vehicle's emission class and PUC certificate in writing, and ask whether the entry charge is inside your quote. A higher GRAP stage can tighten the rules for trucks further, so look up the current stage on the eve of the move. Delhi's own goods-vehicle hours and paperwork are explained in our Delhi house-shifting guide.
Does the day of the month change the price?
Not on our published bands, which do not vary by date. Demand does, though: according to NoBroker's Gurgaon FAQ, which we checked on 2 November 2026, prices rise at weekends and at the end of the month because more customers want those dates. If your notice period allows it, a mid-month weekday may be easier to book. Our office hours run from 8 am to 9 pm on weekdays and Saturdays; on Sundays the office is closed.
How can you keep the move near the bottom of its band?
- To do: Say at the first call whether it is a single room, a floor or a flat, and which floor
- To do: List what is yours in a furnished room, and get the owner to agree the list
- To do: Measure the lane at its narrowest point and say where a vehicle can wait
- To do: Seal every carton on the eve of the move, leaving the whole midday window for loading
- To do: Ask neighbours to keep the lane or gate clear at the booked hour
- To do: For a Delhi address, get the vehicle's emission class, PUC certificate and entry charge in writing
- To do: Sell or donate anything you no longer need; each extra piece is one more trip down the stairs
If the new room is not free on the day the old lease ends, your goods can wait in storage. The packing day itself is described under household shifting.
Key takeaway
Most homes near Udyog Vihar are single rooms, quoted on their own; bigger homes follow our October 2026 Gurgaon bands, from Rs 4,500 for one bedroom to Rs 15,000 for three. Crew time follows the lane, the stairs and the hour, not the kilometres. A move of 4 km into Kapashera is a Delhi move, and until 31 January 2027 Delhi turns back outside trucks below BS-VI unless their fuel is CNG, LNG or electricity.
When you have a date and both addresses, ask us for a written quote. Please read this post as general information, not a price promise: the rupee bands date from October 2026, and portal listings, police lists, Gurugram's truck windows and Delhi's border rules can all change before you move.
