Shifting Within or Near Malibu Towne: Costs, Crew Hours and Access

A house move that starts or ends in Malibu Towne and stays inside Gurgaon falls within the owner's October 2026 ranges: a Malibu home of one bedroom is Rs 4,500–7,000, of two bedrooms Rs 8,000–12,500, and of three Rs 12,000–15,000. Which end of a band you land on, or whether you are above the bands altogether, depends on which of the township's four kinds of home you are in, and on how the lane, the stairs or the lift and the gate work at each end.

What does a Malibu Towne house move cost in October 2026?

These are indicative ranges set by our owner, Radhe Shyam, in October 2026, and published on our Gurgaon packers and movers page. They hold when the old and new homes are both in Gurgaon, however short or long the drive.

A range is a starting point. The written figure follows a survey, on site or by video call, of the goods and both addresses. A move from one Malibu block to another sits in the same band as a move across the city, since packing, carrying and unloading take most of the day and the drive takes little of it.

Which Malibu homes fit the bands, and which need a survey?

Malibu Towne was built in phases, so two homes with the same bedroom count can differ a great deal in size. The developer's project page and current listings show the spread:

The plotted houses vary most. A house on a 150 sq yd plot may hold about as much as a flat, while one on 1,000 sq yd can fill a large truck. For anything beyond three bedrooms, or a house with a full terrace and store rooms, we give the price in writing after seeing it. The household shifting page lists what that price covers.

Where do the crew hours go in each kind of home?

Carrying, more than packing. The pattern differs by home:

• Original floors. No lift to book, but a second-floor home means every carton, bed and fridge goes down two flights of a shared stair. Heavy pieces need more hands, and the stair must stay clear for the families on the floors below.
• Newer floors. Listings show many are larger than the 1997 floors. Tell us how many floors the building has, whether there is a lift and whether it can take a sofa or a fridge standing up.
• Tower flats. The lift slot sets the pace. The developer describes the condominium as a separate "gated complex" within the township, with its own secured access, so the crew clears two security points, and the tower office sets the lift booking and hours.
• Plotted houses. Rooms on several levels, a terrace and a store room add volume nobody counts in "3 BHK". A resident writing in October 2026 noted that many stilts and driveways are now used for purposes other than parking, so ask what is stored at ground level, too.

Which gate should the truck take, and where can it park?

The one your RWA names, and as close to your door as the lane allows. Reports in the residents' newsletter, Samvada Broadcast, mention three entry points: the Sohna Road gate, where the RWA federation asked the corporation to station a generator set for pumping out rainwater (August 2026); the Shopping Arcade or GoodEarth gate, and the CW barrier, at either end of a central verge that got new low-height street lights in May 2026. Which one suits you depends on your block, so ask the RWA that covers your address and send the gate name to the driver with the block code.

Inside, the lanes are the slow part. A resident's piece of 13 October 2026 lists cars parked at blind corners, stilts and driveways taken over, "No Entry" signs ignored and potholed roads. For a move, that means:

1. Clear a space the evening before. Ask neighbours to keep the stretch outside your gate free.
2. Follow the internal signs. A long vehicle reversing out of a lane it should not have entered costs more time than the detour.
3. Plan for a smaller vehicle. Our area page explains that we may send a smaller vehicle to a tight corner and keep the main truck clear of the bend.

What could slow a move in late 2026?

Road works, rain and the city's truck hours.

• Road works. At an MCG ward committee meeting on 14 August 2026, the RWA federation's chairman raised the pending road work in Malibu Towne, which was expected to go to tender by the end of August with work starting within about two months. That puts possible digging in the autumn, so ask the RWA whether your lane is affected.
• Rain. Extra storm-water pipes now reach several areas that had reported heavy waterlogging, among them the RSW and Shopping Arcade area, BS, PD and WW-V, the newsletter reported on 5 October 2026. How they cope with a heavy downpour is not yet reported, so a July or August booking should keep a second date free.
• Truck hours. Goods vehicles are kept off listed city roads in the morning peak before 10 o'clock and for four hours from 5 each evening, says a Digi Pass note from Gurugram Traffic Police on GMDA's website. It carries no date, so check it before the day; for most moves it means using Sohna Road between those windows.
• Water on move-in day. A new booster pump for the township's overhead reservoir was delivered on 17 July 2026. Even so, fill the tank at the new home the day before, since cleaning and unpacking use a lot of water.

How do moves within Malibu, or just outside it, differ?

The band is the same; the two ends are not.

What keeps the quote near the bottom of its range?

Settle the access before the crew arrives:

• To do: Tell us the home type: original floor, newer floor, tower flat, penthouse or plotted house
• To do: Give the floor, the number of storeys and whether each end has a lift
• To do: Name the gate and the RWA that covers each address
• To do: Book the lift slot and condominium gate pass if either home is in the towers
• To do: Ask neighbours to keep the lane outside clear on the day
• To do: Ask the RWA whether road work is planned on your lane
• To do: List heavy items: a double-door fridge, a stone dining table, gym equipment
• To do: If a dog is moving with you, keep its MCG registration current; a registration camp was held at the Malibu Shopping Arcade maintenance office in July 2026
• To do: Mention a car or bike, which can travel through our car transport service
