Moving house within Gurgaon from or to Sector 62 costs Rs 4,500 to 7,000 (1 BHK), Rs 8,000 to 12,500 (2 BHK) or Rs 12,000 to 15,000 (3 BHK), going by the indicative ranges our owner set in October 2026. Your place inside each range is set by the building rather than the kilometres: a flat high up in one of the sector's 35-floor towers, a long walk from tower to truck in a large estate, or a truck kept waiting at the gate all add crew hours.
This post deals with price, hours and access for local moves. Coming from another city instead? Our Sector 62 packers and movers page is written for that.
What will a house shift in Sector 62 cost?
The ranges below are the owner's figures for October 2026, and they match what our Gurgaon city page shows. Treat them as an opening figure; your actual quote depends on the goods and on both buildings.
| Home or vehicle | Range, October 2026 | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| 1 BHK | Rs 4,500–7,000 | Household goods, local move |
| 2 BHK | Rs 8,000–12,500 | Household goods, local move |
| 3 BHK | Rs 12,000–15,000 | Household goods, local move |
| Car, trips up to 50 km (on a carrier) | Rs 9,000–11,500 | Carried separately from the household truck |
| Two-wheeler, trips up to 50 km (scooter or motorcycle) | Rs 3,000–7,000 | Priced separately from the household goods |
Two points to keep in mind. There is no published range above 3 BHK, so a 4 BHK, a duplex or a penthouse needs its own quote based on what it holds. And a short hop, say to Sector 61 or 63, falls in the same range as a move to the far side of the city, because the drive is a small share of the day. What the crew does at each building is the larger share. Our household shifting page lists what that work includes, and our Gurgaon charges guide compares local and intercity prices.
Why do Sector 62's towers stretch the crew's day?
Because many homes here sit high above the loading point. On Wikipedia's list of Gurgaon's tallest buildings, Pioneer Araya in Sector 62 has three towers of 35 floors, 125 m tall and finished in 2016. Everything in a flat near the top goes down in the service lift, a load at a time, and the lift then has to climb back for the next one.
A simple sum shows why that matters. If the service lift takes eight cartons a trip and your home packs into 80 cartons, the crew needs ten round trips before the beds, sofa, fridge and wardrobes have even started. Height adds minutes to every one of those trips.
The size of the estate adds more. Pioneer Urban, on its About page, describes its Sector 61–62 development as spread over 75 acres, with homes, shops and offices among landscaped greens. In a layout that size, the point where the truck is allowed to stand can be some distance from your tower's lift, and each carton makes that walk.
Things that add hours in a Sector 62 tower:
- One lift for many households. If deliveries, other movers and residents share the service lift, the crew waits on the landing.
- A short lift booking. A two-hour slot for a three-hour job means the crew stops halfway and waits until the lift can be booked again.
- Furniture that will not fit. A wardrobe or a long sofa that is too big for the lift car has to be taken apart upstairs, or carried down the stairs.
- Glass and stone. Marble or glass table tops, mirrors and shelves have to be padded or crated first.
- A low-rise home at the other end. Floors without a lift are quicker to reach but slower for heavy pieces, because each one goes up the stairs by hand.
Can a full-size truck get in, or will goods be shuttled?
That depends on the gate the guards send you to, so ask before the day. A large estate may have several entrances, and the one that takes a heavy vehicle may not be the one nearest your tower. Our Sector 62 page explains the fall-back: if the gate cannot take a long truck, the load moves to a smaller vehicle outside the sector and comes in over two or three short runs. Each extra run adds loading time, which is why it pays to know in advance.
Construction is the other gate problem here. Wikipedia's list shows five towers in Sector 62 still under construction, and Square Yards lists one of them, Emaar Amaris, as four towers with 522 homes, registered with HARERA and still being built. Mixers and material trucks for those sites use the same approach roads. Ask the guards at what hours site traffic is heaviest, and keep loading clear of those hours.
Questions for the facility office, a week before the move:
- To do: Which gate does a moving truck use, and how long a vehicle can it take?
- To do: Where can the truck stand while it is loaded, and is that spot near your tower?
- To do: Can a truck fit under the basement or podium ceiling, or must goods come up to street level?
- To do: Which lift is the service lift, and for how many hours can you book it?
- To do: Does the society want the crew's names and the vehicle number in advance for a gate pass?
- To do: Does it hold back a gate pass until the last maintenance bill is paid?
When can the moving truck use the roads near Sector 62?
Outside the city's no-entry hours, and with time allowed for road works. Gurugram Traffic Police explained its online Vehicle Movement Digi Pass in a note that GMDA still hosts; the file is dated June 2023. It names 8–10 am and 5–9 pm as the periods when commercial vehicles are kept off designated areas unless they hold such a pass. That note is three years old, so check the current rule for the route your truck will take.
Golf Course Extension Road, the main road for the sector, is also due for heavy work. An eight-lane widening was tendered by GMDA, according to The Tribune on 3 May 2026. The plan adds drains, footpaths and street lights, and the paper said ground work would begin the following week. We have not found a later report on how far the work has got. Barricades, narrowed lanes and diversions add drive time and can push the truck's arrival back, so treat the start hour as provisional until the day before.
In the rains, the road floods. The dated flood reports for this stretch are collected in our Sector 61 monsoon guide; for a July or August move, agree a back-up date with the facility office.
Where do the hours go, and what can you do about each?
Most of the hours that push a quote upwards are waiting, and most waiting can be dealt with in advance.
| What eats time | Why it happens in Sector 62 | What you can sort out first |
|---|---|---|
| Gate checks | Guards verify names, IDs and vehicle numbers | Send the crew list and truck number to the facility desk a day before |
| Lift queue | High towers, one service lift shared by many flats | Book the longest slot on offer and get the lift number in writing |
| Long carry | Large estate, loading point away from the tower | Ask which loading point is nearest and whether it can be used |
| Dismantling | Wardrobes and beds too big for the lift car | Empty them fully the night before |
| Packing left over | Kitchen and lofts still full on the morning | Pack dry goods, books and clothes ahead, or book packing for the day before |
| Site traffic | Towers under construction share the approach road | Load outside the hours the site is busiest |
| Second building | The other end has its own lift and gate rules | Book the destination lift and pass just as carefully |
What changes if you are moving to a nearby sector?
The price range stays the same; the building at the other end decides how long the second half of the day takes. These are the provided locations nearest Sector 62, with one thing to check at each.
| Moving to | Our page | What to check there |
|---|---|---|
| Sector 61 | Sector 61 | Pioneer Park's five 33-floor towers (Wikipedia), or low-rise floors at Smartworld Orchard, where the lift question is different |
| Sector 63 | Sector 63 | 63 Golf Drive offers 1 and 2 BHK flats under Haryana's affordable housing scheme; ask how many households share each lift |
| Sector 65 | Sector 65 | M3M Golf Estate is here, and Wikipedia lists M3M St. Andrews in Sector 65 at 35 floors |
| Sector 67 | Sector 67 | Some of the tallest homes nearby: Wikipedia lists IREO Victory Valley towers of 51, 45 and 40 floors |
| Sector 70 | Sector 70 | Tulip Orange is an eleven-tower society, so confirm the tower and gate |
| South City II | Sector 49 | One of our branches is in South City II; check the society's own loading rules |
When the old flat has to be handed back before the new one is finished, goods can wait in our warehouse until it is.
How can you keep your quote at the lower end?
By removing the waits before the crew arrives. A short list for the week before:
- To do: Lift booked at both ends, with times and lift numbers in writing
- To do: Gate, loading point and vehicle length confirmed with each facility office
- To do: Crew names and truck number sent to the guards a day ahead
- To do: Wardrobes, drawers and lofts emptied; small items boxed
- To do: Largest sofa, bed and fridge measured against the new lift and doors
- To do: Maintenance dues cleared, if the society links them to the gate pass
- To do: A back-up date agreed for a move in the rains
When you have both addresses and the lift slots, ask us for a written quote.
Read this as general information. The figures are indicative ranges the owner set in October 2026, not quotes, and traffic, society and road conditions shift over time. Confirm each with the traffic police and both facility offices before moving day.
