Moving to DLF Phase 4 means choosing between three kinds of home: a DLF builder floor on a numbered plot, a flat in a gated society such as Ridgewood Estate or Windsor Court, or a rented room in Chakkarpur village beside MG Road. Whichever you pick, the first week runs on the same few places: MG Road metro station, two schools with addresses inside the phase, the hospitals in Sushant Lok 1 (Sector 43) next door and the shops of Galleria Market.

What kinds of home are there in DLF Phase 4?
Most newcomers end up in one of the types below. The figures come from listing pages and Wikipedia, as noted, and prices on listing sites move every week.

More towers are coming. DLF's November 2025 compliance filing records a group housing scheme of ground plus 25 floors in Sector 28 as under construction. If your lease or purchase is close to that site, expect building work nearby for some time.
For rent, one snapshot helps set expectations. When we checked Square Yards' Windsor Court page in October 2026, it showed 15 rental listings for 3 to 3.5 BHK flats at Rs 75,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh a month. Its Ridgewood Estate page listed flats for sale from about Rs 3.19 crore. Treat both as a point-in-time reading, not a market rate.
Which PIN code and address should you use?
The one on your lease. Phase 4 is a case where the "correct" PIN depends on who you ask:
- Square Yards and NoBroker both give 122009 for the phase.
- The Shri Ram School writes its Aravali campus address as DLF City Phase 4, Gurugram 122002.
- Ridge Valley School's own disclosure gives plot 4111-4112, DLF Phase IV, Gurugram 122001.
- Wikipedia's Chakkarpur article lists both 122009 and 122002 for the village.
So write the address the way the owner's papers do: society or plot number first, then block, "DLF Phase 4", sector (27 or 28) and the PIN from the lease. Use that exact line for the bank, Aadhaar update, gas connection, school forms and online deliveries. If a courier keeps failing, the PIN is the first thing to check.
How do you get to work and school: metro or road?
By the Yellow Line, mostly. Wikipedia records that MG Road station opened on 21 June 2010, gives it a Sector 28 address, and puts it between Sikanderpur and IFFCO Chowk. Two malls flank it: DLF City Centre and MGF Metropolitan. NoBroker instead names IFFCO Chowk station, about 1.9 km away, as the nearest. Both can be right: it depends which edge of the phase you live on, so walk to each before you rely on one.
For Cyber City, change at Sikanderpur, the next stop from MG Road, which is both a Yellow Line and a Rapid Metro station. Someone who works in Cyber City can often take the train instead of the car.
By road, the main links are MG Road, on which Chakkarpur stands, and Golf Course Road, which Square Yards names among the phase's connections. Traffic is the most common complaint: in NoBroker's resident ratings for Phase 4, traffic scores lowest, at 3.6 out of 5, below parks, schools and hospitals. Which schools are inside the phase?
Two schools publish addresses in DLF Phase 4, which keeps a school run short:

The same TSRS contact page lists a second Gurgaon campus at V-37, Moulsari Avenue, in DLF City Phase 3, a short drive away. When we checked in October 2026, the TSRS site was showing nursery admissions for the 2027-28 session at the Aravali campus; dates and rules change every year, so check the school's own notice.
If a short walk to school is why you chose the flat, check these first:
- To do: Get the seat confirmed in writing for the right class
- To do: Find out where the school bus picks up: inside the society or at its gate
- To do: Collect the transfer certificate from the old school before you leave
- To do: Note the school's opening and closing times, and keep the moving truck off that road then
Where are the nearest hospitals?
Next door, in Sushant Lok 1 (Sector 43), which NoBroker lists beside the phase. The district administration's hospital list places Paras Hospital at C-1, Sushant Lok Phase I, Sector 43, and Max Health Care Hospital in Sushant Lok I. For a larger hospital, the same list puts Fortis Hospital across from HUDA City Centre in Sector 44.
Tip
On the first evening, save the hospital's emergency number and your full address, with tower or plot number and PIN, in every family phone. In a gated society, tell the security desk too, since an ambulance will stop at the main gate first.
Where do you buy groceries and basics?
Nearest to most homes, Galleria Market is the phase's own shopping street, and Supermart 1 is the other everyday market our area page names. For larger shops, there are the two malls beside MG Road station, DLF City Centre and MGF Metropolitan. Wikipedia's Chakkarpur article also lists Sahara Mall and Mega Mall on the village's former land.
Pack a first-night box that travels with you, not on the truck: bedding, phone chargers, daily medicines, a kettle and the next day's school uniforms. It saves a late trip to the market while the cartons are still sealed.
What paperwork should a renter finish in the first week?
Five things, most of them with the owner or the facility office:
- Tenant verification. Haryana Police offers tenant verification as an online service; the fee was Rs 50 when the page was checked on 4 October 2026. The owner or the tenant can file it, and the same check is worth doing for a driver or cook.
- The building's status. In July 2026 The Tribune reported that the town planners had flagged over 4,500 properties in the DLF phases for violations. If you are renting a rebuilt floor, ask the owner in writing whether any notice has been served on the building, and check the position again, as drives start and stop.
- Move-in permission. Gated societies usually want notice of a move. Book the gate pass and any lift slot with the office seven days before, and ask whether the pass should name the society or the DLF block.
- Readings and dues. Write the electricity and power-backup meter readings into the agreement, and settle who pays maintenance.
- Parking. On a plotted street, agree which slot in the stilt or on the road is yours before the first night.
What should you tell the movers?
The kind of home at each end. A floor with one staircase, a society tower with a lift and a Chakkarpur lane each need a different vehicle and crew, and our area page explains how we plan for each, including a morning start before Galleria fills.
