In Sector 67, rain and heat put two things at risk on moving day: the power that runs the service lift in towers of up to 51 floors, and the three roads a truck uses to get out, Golf Course Extension Road, the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) and Sohna Road. The safest months are October to March; from April to September, book the lift early in the day, confirm its backup and keep a spare date.

We looked for dated reports on the sector, its societies and the roads around it. The only one that names a Sector 67 road is an April 2024 list that includes the road dividing it from Sector 66. None names a society, whether IREO Victory Valley, M3M Golfestate or the Ansal Esencia villas, so read this as a guide to the season and the approaches, not to your own gate.

Why is the lift the weak point in a Sector 67 move?

Because in a very tall tower the lift is the move. The packers and movers in Sector 67 Gurgaon page shows how we count lift runs for flats near the top of the 40-to-51-floor towers here. Weather enters that plan in one way: through the power supply.

  • Heat raises demand until something trips. On 31 May 2024 The Tribune reported that the city's electricity use had gone up by more than 15 per cent over just one week, with the maximum reaching 47°C on 29 May. Overloaded transformers were tripping, and among the places it named as going without power and water was Badshahpur village, which gives its name to this end of Golf Course Extension Road.
  • Faults can last days. In August 2026 a short circuit in the underground cables fed from the power station opposite M3M Urbana, inside this sector, left malls and housing societies along Sohna Road running on generators for over two days, The Tribune reported. A member of the repair team told the paper that cables had probably been cut in several places while sewer lines were being cleaned. Our Sector 67 rules guide covers that outage and the questions it raises for lift bookings.

If the lift stops mid-move, our crew waits with the goods packed on the landing rather than carrying furniture down dozens of flights. That is safe but slow, and a long cut can push the loading to another day.

Which roads out of Sector 67 flood, and when?

The sector sits at the Badshahpur end of Golf Course Extension Road, close to where the SPR meets Sohna Road at Badshahpur Chowk. These are the dated reports for those routes:

Report date Publisher Road What was reported
6 April 2024 The Tribune Sector 66/67 dividing road Listed among more than 30 waterlogging-prone spots before that monsoon
25 July 2024 The Tribune SPR, with Golf Course Extension Road and Sohna Road Thursday-morning rain flooded the SPR; a trip that usually takes 20 minutes could not be done in an hour
31 July 2025 PTI, via The Week Golf Course Extension Road, Sohna Road 66 mm in the city; both roads listed among areas almost submerged
16 June 2026 Vision IAS (summary of The Indian Express) Golf Course Extension Road Named with the Sector 51/52 corridor as a perennial flooding hotspot
28 July 2026 PTI, via ThePrint SPR 35 mm in about 40 minutes flooded more than 50 areas, but water did not stand long on the SPR
6 September 2026 Pioneer report Golf Course Extension Road, Sohna Road An hour of rain on the Saturday brought 36 mm; both roads among those hit hardest

Notice the timing: the 2026 downpours were short and intense, an hour or less. A truck that holds back during the burst usually gets through later the same day.

Are the new drains making a difference?

Partly. Three pieces of work bear on Sector 67's approaches:

  1. The SPR. In April 2026 officials set out a plan, The Tribune reported, to send the road's stormwater from Ghata to Vatika Chowk into the Badshahpur nallah, and from Vatika Chowk to NH-48 into a drain known as Leg 4. On 28 July, PTI credited cleaned drains, more inlets and a green belt cut down to a lower level with getting SPR traffic moving again quickly.
  2. The fourth drain. In August 2026 GMDA's chief executive told ThePrint that the drain from Vatika Chowk near Badshahpur towards NH-48 and Sector 37 had been made functional that year, easing pressure on an older drain that had backed up before.
  3. Golf Course Extension Road. GMDA plans to rebuild the road, The Tribune reported on 3 May 2026, from Sohna Road to Golf Course Road, the stretch serving Sectors 58 to 67, with new drains on both sides. Whatever the progress on those drains, the road still flooded this season: The Pioneer put it on the list of roads hit hardest in September 2026.

So the SPR looks better than it did in 2024, and the Extension Road is still a risk. If your gate opens onto the Extension Road side, allow for both the water and the roadworks.

What does summer heat change for a high-floor move?

Mostly the hours. Gurugram's thermometer reached 44.6°C on 19 May 2026, falling no lower than 27°C overnight, Amar Ujala reported, and in late May 2024 the city reached 47°C. No reading covers Sector 67 alone.

At those temperatures the carrying is split between two teams, one on the landing staging lift loads and one at the truck. The truck end is the hotter one, often out in the open. We start at first light and aim to finish the lift runs before the hottest part of the afternoon.

How does the risk differ between towers and villas?

Sector 67 has both, and the weather tests them differently:

Home Main weather risk What to arrange
Flat high in a tall tower A power cut stops the service lift Generator backup confirmed for that lift; morning slot
Flat in a lower or affordable-housing block Backup may cover fewer lifts, or none Ask the office directly; keep a fallback date
Villa or floor in Ansal Esencia Loading happens in the open on a township lane Covers for furniture; tarpaulin over the truck bed; stair teams rotated in heat

What should a monsoon move in Sector 67 include?

For a date from late June to mid-September:

  • To do: Ask the facility office which service lift runs on backup, and book that one.
  • To do: Hold a second date in the same week in case of a long cut or a flooded approach.
  • To do: Tell us which road your gate faces: Golf Course Extension Road, the SPR side or Sohna Road.
  • To do: Wrap mattresses and upholstered pieces in plastic before they reach the lift lobby.
  • To do: Carry papers, laptops and medicines yourself, in waterproof bags.
  • To do: If the new home's date might slip, book storage in advance.
  • To do: Check the district advisory the evening before; in September 2026 it told people to keep away from underpasses, trees and overhead power lines in heavy rain.

What changes for a move in May or June?

From April to June:

  1. Take the earliest lift slot the society offers, and ask how long the lift is yours.
  2. Carry anything that spoils in heat yourself. Medicines, cosmetics, candles, plants and pets go in your car, not the truck.
  3. Plan for a pause. If a cut stops the lift, goods wait on the landing; agree in advance how long you will wait before moving the slot.
  4. Have water ready on the landing and at the truck for everyone working.

When is the weather least likely to get in the way?

Period Reports on Sector 67's roads and power supply How we plan
October to March Our search turned up nothing The lift booking sets the day
April to June 47°C on 29 May 2024, with Badshahpur village going without supply; 44.6°C on 19 May 2026 First-light start, lift backup confirmed
July to September SPR flooded July 2024; Extension Road and Sohna Road July 2025 and September 2026; 48-hour outage from the Urbana station in August 2026 Spare date, morning slot, storage arranged ahead

Will rain or heat add to the bill?

No monsoon or summer surcharge appears in the owner's indicative ranges, which date from October 2026. Moving within Gurgaon, a three-bedroom home is quoted at Rs 12,000 to 15,000, while two bedrooms come to between Rs 8,000 and 12,500 and one bedroom to between Rs 4,500 and 7,000. In a tall tower, the number of lift runs shapes where in the range you land; our Sector 67 costs and crew-hours guide explains why, and the Gurgaon charges guide covers what the ranges include.

Key takeaway

No report names a Sector 67 society as flooded, but its dividing road with Sector 66 was on the 2024 list of waterlogging-prone spots, and Golf Course Extension Road and Sohna Road flooded in July 2025 and September 2026. For a tall-tower move, the bigger risk is power: a heatwave or a cable fault can stop the lift for hours or days. October to March is the calm window; otherwise, take a morning slot and keep a spare date.

What you have read is general information, built only on the dated reports listed as sources; none of those reports looks inside a particular Sector 67 tower or villa. Roads, drains and power lines are reworked every year, so a fresh look at the forecast and the traffic advisories in the days before you move is worth the time.
