The riskiest months for a move in Nirvana Country are July to September for rain, with August the wettest on IMD's 1991–2020 Gurgaon normals at 211.4 mm, and May and June for heat, when average afternoon highs reach 40.9 °C and 39.3 °C. Because so much of the township is villas with gardens, terraces and driveways, a move here is more outdoor work than a tower-flat move, so the weather reaches more of the day.

What follows is the month-by-month record, the dated events of the 2026 season, and how each season changes the work inside the gates. The blocks, gate routine and garden packing are what we describe as packers and movers in Nirvana Country; the sector-wide flooding reports from 2022 onwards are in our Sector 50 monsoon guide, so we do not repeat them here.

What does the long-term record say, month by month?

The India Meteorological Department's climatological tables for 1991–2020, reproduced in the Gurgaon article on Wikipedia, give these averages for the city's observatory. Nirvana Country has no weather station of its own, so treat them as the nearest guide.

Month Mean daily high, °C Mean daily low, °C Rainfall, mm Days of rain Humidity at 5:30 pm, %
April 36.9 19.6 8.2 0.6 28
May 40.9 24.6 22.7 1.7 31
June 39.3 26.7 79.2 4.3 40
July 35.9 26.7 135.5 7.6 63
August 33.9 25.8 211.4 8.5 69
September 34.1 24.4 120.2 5.5 59
October 32.0 18.0 15.9 1.3 45

Read across the rows and two seasons appear, but they overlap. May is the hottest by day, yet June and July share the warmest nights, 26.7 °C on average, and from July the evening humidity climbs above 60%. A crew working a villa in late June gets the worst of both: heat that barely lets up and the first heavy showers. October, with barely 16 mm over a little more than one rainy day, is the first comfortable month. The same table records a highest-ever reading of 49.0 °C, in May.

What happened in the 2026 season?

A drier year than normal overall, with a few very bad days inside it.

  • 19 April: the plan. The Tribune reported that officials had mapped 159 waterlogging hotspots across Gurugram (four rated extremely critical and 39 critical), set 31 May as the deadline for desilting a 607 km drain network, and arranged a fleet of 109 dewatering pumps plus 63 suction tankers.
  • 8 July: the first big day. Nearly 80 mm fell by late afternoon, The Quint reported. Part of NH-48 caved in near Narsinghpur, traffic was diverted at Rajiv Chowk and Hero Honda Chowk, and Gurugram Police urged companies to keep employees at home for the following few days.
  • 4 August: Sohna Road jams. An afternoon downpour left one family needing 2 hours 40 minutes to cover 18 km from Ambience Mall to their flat on Sohna Road, ThePrint wrote the next day. The same report quoted the GMDA chief executive saying a fourth drain, running from Vatika Chowk near Badshahpur towards NH-48, had been made to work this year, and that the city's chronic waterlogging spots now numbered five or six, down from 90.
  • 21 September: retreat and a shortfall. The monsoon withdrew from parts of Haryana, UNI reported, with the state at 312.9 mm for the season against a normal of 413 mm, 24% short. By 3 October, a second UNI report placed the withdrawal line through Chandigarh, Muzaffarnagar and Aligarh, with the rest of Haryana expected to follow within a day.

The lesson for a planner is in the contrast. A season can finish a quarter below normal and still produce days when the roads to the township do not move. One day's forecast matters more than the season's total.

None of the 2026 reports we found named a street inside Nirvana Country. Vatika Chowk and Sohna Road, which most trucks use to reach the township, are named; for the longer record on that corridor see our Sohna Road monsoon guide.

How does rain change a villa move inside the gates?

It turns the carry from door to vehicle into open-air work. In a tower, loads travel under a roof to a covered bay. In a villa, every carton crosses a porch, a drive or a lawn, and the RWA's written procedure adds a step of its own: its 2019 security SOP keeps trucks and lorries out and sends delivery vans to a designated area to unload. Our Nirvana Country rules guide sets out what that means and what to ask the RWA.

On a wet day we work like this:

  1. Stage under cover. Cartons, wrapped furniture and mattresses wait under the porch or in the garage, not on the drive, until the vehicle is in place.
  2. Seal soft goods twice. Mattresses and upholstered pieces get plastic sheeting over their padding, taped at the seams, because the walk to the vehicle may be longer than a tower's lobby.
  3. Load the garden lot separately. Pots, swings and outdoor furniture come out wet in the rains; they travel apart from cartons, on a sheet, so mud and water stay off everything else.
  4. Keep wheels off the new planting. A monsoon planting drive was opened in the township on 13 July 2026, and by early August Samvada Broadcast reported about 1,200 shrubs planted at the Main Entry Gate and around 2,000 Murraya plants, with Harshingar and Amaltas trees, along the Central Road green belt, using plants supplied by the municipal corporation. Soft verges are easy to rut in the rain, and young plants are easy to crush, so the driver keeps to the road and the crew carries rather than reversing onto grass.

How do the RWA's weekday hours interact with the weather?

This is the part most moving plans miss. In the 2019 SOP, furniture and appliances may be delivered on working days only, from 9 in the morning until 6 in the evening. Under that window, weather and the calendar combine in two ways (check the current position with the RWA office in writing):

  • In the rains, book early in the week. If a Friday is washed out, the next day the window opens may be Monday, three days later, with the house half packed. A Monday or Tuesday booking leaves a spare weekday inside the same week.
  • In the heat, split the day. If the gate window starts at 9 am, loading cannot begin at dawn, which is when a summer crew would like to start. We pack indoors from early morning, carry the heaviest pieces out first once the window opens, and aim to have the loading done before mid-afternoon. For a large villa, packing can take one full day and loading the following morning.

What does summer heat change for a Nirvana Country move?

Mostly the pace, and what travels in the truck. A two-storey villa means repeated stair trips with heavy loads, and the garden and terrace add long walks in full sun.

  • To do: Give the crew shade and water at both homes; in a villa the porch or garage works as a rest point
  • To do: Medicines, candles, cosmetics, wine and laptops travel with you by car rather than in the load
  • To do: Water potted plants the evening before, not the morning of, so the soil has stopped draining by the time they are loaded
  • To do: Ride plants and anything that wilts in the last space loaded, so they come off first
  • To do: Leave the bird-water bowls where they are until the last day; a resident wrote in Samvada Broadcast in June 2026 that the township's peafowl seek out cool pots and water in the heat
  • To do: Charge phones the night before, so the gate can reach you when the vehicle arrives

How should you plan by season?

Months Main risk How we plan the day
April to mid-June Heat by day, little rain Indoor packing early; loading inside the RWA window, front-loaded with heavy pieces; extra hands for two-storey homes
Late June to September Heavy showers, wet carries, jammed approach roads Monday or Tuesday booking with a spare weekday; covered staging; route checked the morning of the move
October to March Few weather limits Normal plan; watch for winter fog delaying an early start

If rain pushes the date back, or the next house is not finished, packed goods can sit in our storage until delivery makes sense. For the full list of what a crew does on the day, see household shifting.

Does a rainy or hot month cost more?

No. Monsoon or not, local Gurgaon moves use the same October 2026 bands from the owner: 1 BHK homes Rs 4,500–7,000; 2 BHK homes Rs 8,000–12,500; 3 BHK homes Rs 12,000–15,000; as listed on our Gurgaon packers and movers page. A Nirvana Country villa often holds more than a 3 BHK flat and is priced after a survey; our Nirvana Country costs guide explains why.

What the weather can change is the hours. A downpour that halts loading or a closed road that forces a detour adds time, so the written quote should say how a weather delay is handled.

Key takeaway

In Nirvana Country, the heaviest rain falls from July to September and the worst heat in May and June. Because villa moves are mostly outdoor carries and the RWA's 2019 procedure allows deliveries only on weekday daytime hours, book early in the week in the rains, pack indoors early in summer, keep vehicles off the new verge planting, and keep a spare day.

When you know your rough date, send us both addresses, your block name and whether the home has a garden or terrace, and say if a reserve date should be built into the quote.

Treat this post as general information. Weather numbers are taken from IMD's normals and from the dated reports in the sources; RWA rules, road works and forecasts move on, so confirm them with the RWA office and IMD during your moving week.
