Moving to Sushant Lok 1: A Newcomer's Guide for Families and Renters

Moving to Sushant Lok 1 usually means renting a builder floor, a room in a rebuilt plot or a flat in one of the colony's few apartment blocks, right beside the Millennium City Centre metro terminus in central Gurgaon. Before you sign, settle three things: which PIN your address really carries, what kind of home the rent is for, and how close the school, hospital and market are to your block.

What kind of home are you likely to rent?

Most likely a floor in a plotted house. On 26 October 2026, Square Yards showed more than 990 rental listings in Sushant Lok I, and its own breakdown ran:

• Builder floors: 694 or more, by far the largest group;
• Apartments: 182 or more, including flats in Ansal Sushant Apartments;
• Independent houses: 15 or more, plus a handful of villas;
• PG listings: only one on that page, though the separate PG page carried more.

A floor, a room and a flat lead to different landlords and rules. In a floor you deal with one owner and share the stairs with the floors above and below. Which PIN code goes on your lease?

There is no single answer, which is why delivery apps and bank forms trip people up. Published addresses inside the colony use three codes:

India Post records, read on 26 October 2026, tie 122009 to the Galleria DLF-IV sub post office, 122002 to the DLF QE sub post office and 122001 to the Gurgaon head office, among others. Two neighbours in C Block can therefore print different codes. Copy whichever PIN your rent agreement or first delivered bill shows, and always write "Sushant Lok 1" or "Phase I" before the block letter, because Phase 2 and Phase 3 reuse letters.

What does rent cost in October 2026?

The site's average for apartments was Rs 44 per sq ft a month. Each row spans different sizes and furnishing, so treat the table as a guide for bargaining, and check what is included, such as maintenance, power backup and a parking slot.

Which schools have a Sushant Lok 1 address?

Two school groups sit inside the colony:

Where are the hospital, markets and metro?

Several of them sit inside B and C Blocks.

• Hospital. Paras Health is at C-1, Sushant Lok-1, Sector 43. An undated American Express list of Max Healthcare sites places Max Hospital Gurgaon in B Block, Sushant Lok I, opposite the metro station (under its old name, HUDA City Centre), with PIN 122001; we could not open Max's own page in October 2026, so check it before an emergency.
• Markets. Sushant Shopping Arcade on HUDA City Centre Road in B Block keeps 10 am to 10 pm hours all week, according to a business directory (check before you go). LBB places Vyapar Kendra market in Sector 43 and points readers to its tailors.
• Yellow Line. Millennium City Centre, opened on 21 June 2010, is where the Yellow Line ends; the directory above puts the shopping arcade about 0.44 km from it.
• Rapid Metro. The Sector 42-43 station, opened on 25 April 2017, carries the station code SUL. Its neighbours are Sector 53-54 and Phase 1.
• Metro to come. The Gurugram Metro plan starts its first phase at Millennium City Centre and runs towards Sector 9, with 2028 as the target.

What should you settle in the first week?

Sort these out before the owner hands over the keys and moves on:

• To do: Tenant verification with Gurugram Police; agree who files it and keep the receipt.
• To do: The PIN and block written the same way on your lease, bank and delivery apps.
• To do: What the rent includes: maintenance, backup power, parking and any water charges, in writing.
• To do: Your floor's meter, photographed with its reading on handover day.
• To do: The building's use. If it is let room by room, ask whether the owner has had any notice from the town planners.

What will moving in cost?

It depends on the load and the stairs more than the distance. Our owner's price bands, set in October 2026, put a one-bedroom move inside Gurgaon at Rs 4,500 to 7,000, a two-bedroom home somewhere between Rs 8,000 and 12,500 in total, while a three-bedroom home sits at Rs 12,000 up to 15,000. Loads coming from Delhi sit at Rs 7,000 to 8,000, then Rs 10,000 to 13,500, then Rs 14,000 to 16,500 across those sizes.
