Moving in Sector 107 during the monsoon carries a risk that is inside the sector as well as on the roads to it: after the cloudburst of 1 September 2025, both gates of Signature Global Solera stood in about three feet of water and the society went 51 hours without power. Summer brings a smaller, separate risk of heat-linked power cuts in May, so the safest window for a move here runs from October to March.

We looked only for reports with a date that name Sector 107, a society in it, or the roads and neighbouring sectors a truck uses to get there. This guide lists what they say and how we plan a move around it. For the crew, vehicle and quote, see our Sector 107 packers and movers page.

What do dated reports say about Sector 107 in the rains and the heat?

These are the reports we found, oldest first. Only the September 2025 ones name a Sector 107 society; the rest concern the expressway belt and the city around it.

Date Publisher What it reported
23 June 2023 The Tribune A half-hour morning shower left more than 12 areas around the Dwarka Expressway waterlogged, with rush-hour jams on the Daulatabad flyover
8 August 2025 The Tribune The Centre told the Lok Sabha that a fall of about 78 m between the Aravallis and the Najafgarh drain sends Gurugram's rainwater one way
1 September 2025 FloodWatch Gurgaon, citing district disaster authority records 133 mm fell between 3 pm and 7 pm, close to twice the city's September average of 72.7 mm
4 September 2025 The Daily Jagran Signature Global Solera, Sector 107: both entrances under about three feet of water; more than 1,200 families without power for 51 hours
5 September 2025 Hindustan Times Sector 107 residents using tractors to reach their flats through the water
19 May 2026 NewsX 44.1 °C at Cyber City, the day's highest Gurugram reading, under an IMD yellow alert
22 May 2026 News24 An overheated underground cable near Sectors 99 to 102 cut power to about 4,500 families for nearly ten hours
28 July 2026 ThePrint 35 mm in about 40 minutes; traffic crawled on the service lanes of the Daulatabad flyover, and New Palam Vihar was among the flooded areas
7 August 2026 The Tribune 97 mm in a day; 28 waterlogging points named across the city, Bajghera among them

What happened at Solera in September 2025?

It is the clearest record of what heavy rain can do inside the sector. On the afternoon of Monday 1 September 2025, FloodWatch Gurgaon's account of the storm records 133 mm in four hours across the city. In Sector 107, The Daily Jagran reported three days later, water about three feet deep covered both entrances to Signature Global Solera, and a transformer fault at the sector's substation left the society without supply from 3 pm on Monday until 6:30 pm on Wednesday. The RWA's general secretary told the paper that people had to stay inside their homes until power returned. Residents had tried to hold the water back with mud barriers, without success.

On 5 September, Hindustan Times reported that some residents were using tractors to get to their flats. For a move, that combination is decisive: no truck can reach a gate under three feet of water, and no service lift runs without power or backup. A household booked to move that week would have lost at least three days.

Why does water collect on this side of Gurgaon?

Because the land slopes towards it. In August 2025 the Union government told the Lok Sabha that the ground drops about 78 m from the Aravalli hills to the Najafgarh drain, which The Tribune reported as the natural route rainwater takes across the city. OpenStreetMap's outline of Sector 107 takes in a stretch of that drain, the Najafgarh Nallah, on the western rim of Gurugram.

The same report gave the official progress figures: critical waterlogging points cut from 90 in 2019 to 30 in 2024, and 544 km of drains desilted. Those are city totals. None of the dated reports we found says whether the problem at the Solera gates has been fixed since 2025, so treat the late-summer weeks as a risk until your own society says otherwise.

Which roads to Sector 107 go under water?

The ones a truck uses from the rest of the city. The sector sits back from the expressway, and our crew comes from the head office in New Palam Vihar, Sector 110, so we look at three stretches:

  • The Daulatabad flyover. In June 2023 a short shower jammed it at rush hour, The Tribune said, and in July 2026 ThePrint described vehicles crawling along its service lanes with water on both sides. A truck coming from central Gurgaon along the expressway can lose an hour here.
  • New Palam Vihar. The same July 2026 report listed it among more than 50 flooded areas, so on a wet morning the delay can start at our own end. We check before the truck leaves.
  • The Bajghera side. On 7 August 2026, The Tribune's list of 28 waterlogging points after 97 mm of rain included Surat Nagar, Bajghera and the Dhanwapur road. That matters for a move between Sector 107 and Palam Vihar or the old city.

What does summer heat mean for a Sector 107 move?

Mostly a power question. We found no dated heat report that names Sector 107 itself. For the city as a whole, the highest reading NewsX gave for 19 May 2026 was 44.1 °C, at Cyber City, and three days later News24 reported daytime highs of 42 to 44 °C, a transformer failure that shut seven substations in the older sectors, and overheated cables near Sectors 99 to 102 on the expressway belt.

Many Sector 107 homes are compact flats in tall blocks. Square Yards lists Solera 2 alone as 448 flats in five towers on about three acres, so the lifts are shared by many households and almost everything goes up or down in them. In a summer move we:

  1. Ask about lift backup first. If the service lift is not on a generator, a power cut mid-move leaves furniture on a landing.
  2. Carry heavy items before 11 am. The crew is fresher and the stairwells cooler, in case the lift stops.
  3. Keep electronics out of a parked truck. Televisions, laptops and anything with a battery go on last and come off first.
  4. Send fragile and personal things with you. Medicines, candles, plants and pets should travel in your car.
  5. Build in water and shade breaks. A crew working through a hot afternoon slows down, so we plan the rest into the schedule.

What changes in our plan during the Sector 107 rains?

Around the gate, not just the weather. Based on what happened in September 2025, this is our routine from late June to mid-September:

  • A call to your society the day before to ask whether the entrance and the truck bay are clear of water.
  • A dawn start, because the two heaviest downpours in these reports, on 1 September 2025 and 28 July 2026, both came in the afternoon.
  • No wading. A loaded truck does not enter water of unknown depth; it waits or turns back.
  • Packing for the wet: plastic over mattresses, sofas and cartons before they leave the flat, and a sheeted cargo area.
  • A spare day agreed in advance, so a wet morning moves the job rather than rushing it.
  • Storage on standby. If the gate floods after loading, we hold the load in our warehouse and bring it round when the water has gone down.

Which months are safest for a Sector 107 move?

Months What the dated reports show How we plan
October to March No rain or heat report for the sector or its roads Normal planning
April to early June City highs of 42 to 44 °C and heat-linked power cuts reported in May 2026 Early loading, lift backup confirmed, electronics last on
Late June to mid-September Expressway jams in June 2023 and July 2026; Solera's gates flooded and power out for 51 hours in September 2025; Bajghera waterlogged in August 2026 Spare day, gate check the day before, storage ready

What goes on your list before a wet-season or hot-weather move?

  • To do: Ask your society office how the gate and truck bay coped in the last heavy rain.
  • To do: Confirm that the service lift has generator backup, and for how long.
  • To do: Read IMD's Gurugram forecast 48 hours out, then once more at first light.
  • To do: Charge phones and keep a power bank in your bag in case of a cut.
  • To do: Pack papers, medicines and chargers in one bag that stays in your car.
  • To do: Settle with us in advance which day is the backup and whether goods wait in storage.

Key takeaway

In Sector 107 the monsoon can close the society gate itself, as it did at Solera in September 2025, and May heat can cut the power the lifts depend on. An October-to-March date is the safe choice; for any other month, start early, check the gate and the lift backup the day before, and keep a day in hand.

For the sectors around you, see our Dwarka Expressway sectors guide and the Sector 108 and Sector 106 pages. Our Gurgaon packers and movers charges guide explains what drives a quote, the household shifting page sets out the crew's day, and you can ask for a quote once your date is fixed.

Treat this as general information, based on the dated reports listed as sources. Rainfall, drains and power supply change from season to season, so check the IMD forecast, your society office and any traffic police advisory before your move.
