In Manesar the monsoon problem is mostly the road: the NH-48 run from Gurgaon past Narsinghpur, Khandsa and the Kherki Daula toll has flooded in June, July and August storms, and in August 2026 IMT Manesar's own roads flooded badly enough to keep workers from their factories. Summer brings the other limit, with Manesar reported at 44.2 °C in May 2026, so a summer job should start early and a monsoon job should carry a spare day.
Every report below is dated and names Manesar, IMT Manesar or a point on the highway between Gurgaon and the township. Where a report is about the city rather than Manesar, we say so.
When are the monsoon months here?
Roughly July to late September, judging by the nearest official dates. IMD's press release of 23 September 2026 records that the monsoon reached Delhi on 2 July 2026, against a normal onset date of 27 June, and withdrew from Delhi on 23 September, two days before its normal date of 25 September. Safdarjung, Delhi's main station, had 728.6 mm from 1 June to 23 September, 16% above normal. IMD declares these dates for Delhi, not for Manesar, so treat them as the frame and not as a promise.
Inside that frame, the rain falls very unevenly across Gurugram district. The district administration reports a reading for each tehsil and sub-tehsil, and Manesar has its own:
- On 28 July 2026, The Tribune gave Manesar 21 mm for the day while Sohna had 86 mm.
- On 12 October 2026, after the monsoon had left, The Tribune reported about 40 mm at Gurugram in 24 hours and no rain at all at Manesar.
So a wet morning in Gurgaon does not by itself cancel a Manesar move. What matters is the reading at Manesar and the state of the highway between the two ends.
Where has the road to Manesar flooded, and when?
Most of the trouble has been on the highway from Hero Honda Chowk out to the Kherki Daula toll, a stretch every truck from Gurgaon has to use. In date order:
| Date | Where | Report | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 21 Jun 2023 | Narsinghpur and Hero Honda chowks | The worst-hit points after 47 mm; 20 to 30 minutes to cross each; pumps ordered to stay at Narsinghpur | The Tribune |
| Sat, 19 Aug 2023 | Narsinghpur; "Haldiram towards Manesar" | Both on the traffic police's list of affected points; Manesar had 50 mm by 8 am | The Tribune |
| 28 Jun 2024 | Khandsa to the Kherki Daula toll | Named by a traffic officer as one of the worst-affected stretches | Deccan Herald (PTI) |
| 25 Jun 2025 | Narsinghpur service road | GMDA finished a 750 m earthen drain to the Badshahpur drain, after a joint clearance drive with HSIIDC | The Tribune |
| 25 Jul 2026 | Narsinghpur | Still on GMDA's list of seven vulnerable spots; four pumps placed on NH-48 between Hero Honda Chowk and Narsinghpur | The Tribune |
| 28 Jul 2026 | Narsinghpur | Stayed dry in heavy rain; taken off the list, leaving six spots | The Tribune |
| 7 Aug 2026 | IMT Manesar | Waterlogging hit industrial operations; many workers could not reach factories | KNN India |
| 18 Aug–15 Oct 2026 | Service lane, Rampura Chowk flyover to IMT Manesar | Closed for GMDA's storm-water drains along Sectors 76 to 80 | The Tribune |
Three points from that table shape how we plan a Manesar job.
Narsinghpur has improved, on the official account. The June 2023 report describes it as one of the two worst junctions on the highway. GMDA finished an earthen drain there in June 2025, and the July 2026 reports describe a 700-metre drain linked to the same Badshahpur drain. The 25 July report still listed Narsinghpur as vulnerable; three days later GMDA said it was resolved. One good monsoon is a short record, so we still check the traffic on the morning of a move.
The stretch past Khandsa and Kherki Daula is the slow part. Our Sector 83 monsoon guide sets out its record in full, including the June 2024 report and the July 2026 cave-in near Narsinghpur, whose queue reached back to the toll, as our Manesar page also notes. We build extra time into this run whenever it rains.
Inside the township, the gate matters as much as the road. The KNN India report of 7 August 2026 quoted Manoj Tyagi, who is general secretary of the township's industrial association: many workers, he said, had been unable to get to their plants through the flooded roads. A plant move needs your own stores staff, supervisors and forklift operators on site, so a flooded approach road can stop the job even if the truck gets through.
The service-lane closure was due to end on 15 October 2026. The Tribune's report lists the diversions; our Sector 85 guide explains how they affected that side of the highway. Check that the lane has reopened before the truck is routed along it.
How hot does Manesar get in May and June?
About 44 °C in the figures we found. In a NewsX locality table for 20 May 2026, Manesar was put at 44.2 °C under a "severe dry heatwave", the highest of the six Gurugram localities in the table. A day earlier, Amar Ujala reported that Gurugram reached 44.6 °C, the hottest day of the season so far. The NewsX figures come from a news site's table rather than an identified weather station, so treat them as a guide to that week, not an official record.
Heat changes a Manesar job in two different ways:
- At a plant. Heavy lifting, strapping and loading go into the morning, and the area page notes that the industrial belt has reported unscheduled power cuts in summer. Anything that has to be tested on unloading needs live power at the new shed, so confirm the supply and the backup before the date.
- At a staff home. Many people who work at the plants rent rooms in the villages around the township, often upstairs at the end of a lane too narrow for a truck. Every carton is carried by hand, so an early start matters more than in a lift building.
How do you plan the move around the calendar?
Set against the dated reports, the year looks like this:
| Period | What the dated reports show | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| October to March | No dated waterlogging or heat reports for Manesar in what we found | The calmer stretch, though a post-monsoon shower is still possible |
| April to mid-June | Manesar 44.2 °C and Gurugram 44.6 °C in mid-May 2026; summer power complaints in the industrial belt | Load early; confirm power at the new site |
| Late June to mid-July | Narsinghpur and Hero Honda Chowk flooded (21 Jun 2023); Khandsa to Kherki Daula slow (28 Jun 2024) | Check the highway on the morning; keep a spare day |
| Late July and August | Manesar 50 mm on a Saturday (19 Aug 2023); IMT roads flooded (7 Aug 2026) | Reserve date for any plant move; staff must be able to reach the site |
| September | Monsoon withdrew from Delhi on 23 Sep 2026 | Watch the forecast in the first half of the month |
An absence of reports is not a forecast. It only means we found nothing dated for those months.
What should you check before moving in rain or heat?
For a plant, stores or office move inside IMT Manesar:
- To do: Ask your neighbours, or the plot's security team, how the approach road fared in the 2026 monsoon
- To do: Confirm that your forklift operators and stores staff can reach the site on the date, and agree a reserve date with them
- To do: Confirm live power and backup at the new shed before the machines arrive
- To do: Keep paper records and electronics in sealed cartons raised off the floor until the truck is at the gate
- To do: Book pallet space in our warehouse if the new site may not be ready on a wet day
For a staff home in a village or sector near the plants:
- To do: Give us the village or sector name and the nearest main road, plus the floor and whether the stair is shared
- To do: In May or June, fix a start soon after sunrise
- To do: Carry medicines, documents and a laptop yourself rather than in the vehicle
- To do: Check the Manesar rain reading, not just the Gurgaon one, the evening before
Does the season change the cost?
Season is not one of the factors on our Manesar page. A plant or stock move is quoted on the weight and size of the goods, the handling at each site, the number of days in storage and, for transfers, the number of staff homes. What the weather does change is the date and the hour, and sometimes the need for a reserve day. For a weekend office move in the township, see our Manesar office shifting guide; loads that are not household goods run through our goods transport service, and our Gurgaon office plans every Manesar job.
Key takeaway
For a Manesar move, watch the NH-48 stretch from Hero Honda Chowk to Kherki Daula and the approach road to your plot, not the Gurgaon weather. Keep a reserve day from late June to August, make sure your own staff can reach the site, and start early from April to mid-June, when Manesar has been reported near 44 °C.
When you have a date in mind, send us the sector, plot or village and a list of what is moving.
This guide gives general information drawn from the dated reports cited above. Drains are rebuilt, hotspot lists change and road closures end or are extended, so check the forecast, the Manesar rainfall reading and the traffic police's advisories before moving day.
