Two things shape a Mysuru move more than the distance. The first is Dasara. The official Mysuru Dasara site lists this year's festival from 11 to 21 October 2026, ending with the Jamboo Savari procession from the palace to Bannimantap. Streets near the palace fill with crowds on those days, so we keep loading well away from them.

The second is the road to Bengaluru. The tolled NH-275 expressway, inaugurated in March 2023, runs about 119 km between the two cities, so a move from a Bengaluru flat to a Mysuru house is now a short haul.

We are not based in Mysuru. Moves to and from the city are planned from our Gurgaon office as domestic relocations, with the inventory, packing date and delivery agreed before the truck is booked.

Mysuru Roads and Places That Guide the Truck

Points we use to plan the approach to your street and the road out of town.

  1. Bengaluru–Mysuru Expressway (NH-275)

    The tolled highway from Bengaluru, about 119 km long, inaugurated on 12 March 2023. It runs by Maddur, Mandya and Srirangapatna, and it is the usual way for a truck between the two cities.

  2. Mysuru Ring Road

    A ring of about 42.5 km around the city that the Mysuru Urban Development Authority has been widening. Trucks use it to reach outer layouts such as Vijayanagar, Bogadi and Hebbal without crossing the old centre.

  3. Mysuru Palace and Bannimantap

    The palace is the heart of Dasara, and the Jamboo Savari runs from here north to Bannimantap. Roads on that route are closed or packed during the festival.

  4. Mysuru Junction

    The main railway station, with lines to Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Chamarajanagar. A handy reference for addresses in the older parts of the city.

  5. Hebbal and Hootagalli industrial areas

    Two of the four KIADB industrial areas around Mysuru, on the north-west side. Homes in Hebbal, Hinkal and Bogadi are close by, and the approach roads carry factory traffic at shift times.

Old Mysuru Houses, Layout Homes and Heirloom Wood

Much of Mysuru lives in independent houses rather than towers. In older areas such as Lakshmipuram, Chamundipuram and Devaraja Mohalla, houses stand close to the street, often with a narrow stair to a first-floor room and little space for a truck. The crew carries goods out to the vehicle, and we size it from a photo of your street.

The layouts to the west and south, such as Vijayanagar, Kuvempunagar and Saraswathipuram, have wider roads and plotted houses with room to park. Newer apartment blocks near the ring road and in Bogadi or Hinkal come with a lift to book and an association to tell in advance.

Many Mysuru homes keep carved wood: rosewood inlay panels, teak cots and old almirahs. Rosewood inlay is one of the city's traditional crafts. Inlaid surfaces get a soft inner layer so nothing scratches, then a firm outer wrap, and the most delicate pieces can be crated on request.

Before the Truck Comes to Mysuru

  • The Dasara fortnight

    From the start of Navaratri to Vijayadashami, roads near the palace and the procession route are crowded or closed. We avoid those days, or load early and leave by the ring road.

  • Tolls on the expressway

    The Bengaluru expressway is tolled, and tolls are part of the road cost in your quote. We time the run so the truck reaches Bengaluru outside its evening peak.

  • Narrow old-city streets

    Some streets near the palace and the markets are too tight or busy for a large truck. A smaller vehicle may shuttle goods to the main road.

  • Long hauls north

    A move to Delhi NCR covers about 2,050 km. Furniture is wrapped for a week on the road, and you get a written inventory before the truck leaves.

When to move

Best Months for a Mysuru Move

November to February is usually the easiest time: dry roads and cool mornings make a long day of packing comfortable. Mysuru sits at about 770 m, so even its warm months are milder than those on the plains.

Summer runs from March to May. The monsoon season runs from June to October; we wrap furniture in sheeting and keep cartons off wet ground on rainy days.

The one window to avoid is Dasara, which falls in September or October. In 2026 it runs from 11 to 21 October. If your lease ends then, move a few days before it starts, or keep goods in storage until it is over.
